Camp Half-blood roleplay?

Camp Half-blood roleplay?

Camp Half-blood roleplay?

So, uh, I kind of vanished, and as I usually do when I return, I decided to make a roleplay. I'm taking a mythology class right now and we're going over Greek mythology, and it made me want to make a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus roleplay. Now, of course, it's been about three years since I've read either series, and I never actually finished Heroes of Olympus, so I might get a few things wrong. This roleplay is more like an alternate timeline anyways. Or just far enough in the future that the events taking place in them simply don't effect anything anymore.

Rules--

1. Your charries can be satyrs, nymphs, or demigods. However, the demigods godly parents can only be GREEK gods, just to keep things from getting too confusing.

2. You can have up to five charries.

3. We'll start when there is five people total (including me!)

4. Don't roleplay as canon characters (because obviously, they aren't our characters to use.) Now of course, there may be a few characters we have to use, however, characters like Chiron and the gods themselves are characters from Greek mythology so they don't really belong to Rick Riordan anyways.

5. The godly parents don't have to be main gods! You can totally have a character who is the child of, say, one of the Graces, or Iris, or something.

6. Anyone can join even after we've started, just read through the roleplay so you're caught up on things.

7. We'll figure out the plot as we go.

Here's the character sheet:

Name:

Gender/pronouns:

Godly parent:

Personality:

Appearance:

Skills/Abilities:

Years they've been attending Camp (none is allowed, if they're a newcomer):

Backstory (optional):

I'll post my charries after this shows up.

I want to keep this going! This is such a fun rp. And Sybill, props to you for that prophecy! It sounds awesome.

Ion~

Camp is a wreck, someone's gone missing, and now the Oracle has a prophecy for us.

Another typical Tuesday.

We all trek up to the house, campers and Hunters alike. In the moment, it seems that the rivalry has been forgotten- or at least set aside. Even Lore and Shane have stopped sniping at each other. The green mist floats through the air, giving the usually cheery house an ominous feel.

Walking up the stairs, I feel a sense of dread settle in my gut. I've seen the Oracle a few times while I've been at Camp, and I hate it. It just feels so... wrong. I know my dad's the god of prophecy, but I've never been a fan of them.

We finally reach the attic and walk inside, grouping around the Oracle. It's just as creepy as I remember, made even worse by the fact that it's glowing green. I shiver and move a little closer to Lore. I spot Kyu nearby and remember that she only just got here. I feel bad for her- the Oracle is bad enough, but seeing it on your first day? That's got to be on a whole other level.

Though the corpse's mouth doesn't move, a voice begins to speak, and the empty eyes glow brighter.

"You will find the lost child of light

And through the Labyrinth you will fight,

Until eventually you find the answers you seek,

Shall you help the goddess who is weak.

Those with marks shall stay behind,

And the puppetmaster they shall find,

For Spring is not the only one lost,

And there is more than one reason for the eternal frost."

People begin muttering worriedly, and rightly so. As far as prophecies go, this is a concerning one. Even more so because it involves Moxy, my sister. At least the Oracle said we'll find her- just hopefully that means all in one piece.

I'm distracted by a shout from Shane LaBelle. He's holding his wrist out in pain, and we can all clearly see the burning imprint of a dove.

"That can't be good," someone mutters. Around the room, a few more people cry out. I assume that means they're marked.

I stare at my own wrist, willing a mark to appear. According to the prophecy, if I understand correctly, the marked people are the ones staying at Camp, finding the "puppetmaster" or whoever. The others have to go down into the Labyrinth, which is most definitely not on my bucket list. Sometimes at campfires, some of the Apollo kids take turns telling stories to scare the other campers. More than half of them are about the Labyrinth.

When no mark appears, I look around to see who else will be tackling the maze with me.

Would everyone mind if they posted wether their charries will be going into the Labyrinth or staying at camp?  I want to post a new part but don't want to decide this for everyone else.  Thanks!

Time to *finally* make my next post!

Oliver

I recognize Maylin from the forge. I'm not a child of Hephaestus, but I sometimes go in there because being around all the fire is calming. I often see Maylin in there, working with her siblings. Like me, she's shy and keeps to herself. The word friends zings through my mind, but I quickly shake it away. After all, I've been here two years and I haven't made any yet.

I glance down at my arm when I feel a sharp pain sears across my wrist. A hearth, the mark of Hestia. Thank goodness; I'll be staying. I've never been questing before, and don't intend to start now. A quiet summer is what I'd want, and obviously I'm not getting that, but at least I won't have to plunge headfirst into a dark hole this year. I glance over at Maylin, who's holding up her wrist with the mark of Hephaestus.

Chiron trots over, looking agitated. "All these campers without marks?" he asks. "But quests are only supposed to have three people. What are the gods thinking?" He sighs, shakes his head, and bellows, "DIVIDE INTO GROUPS OF THREE! A large group going into the labyrinth together won't do, you'll only get lost. We need to split up; it will cover more ground in any case." Immediately chaos erupts, unmarked campers spinning left and right, grabbing friends and dodging enemies to form the perfect groups.

More relieved than ever that I wasn't marked--who would have been in my group?--I head back to the Hestia cabin to escape the cacophany.

Nadia

My skin is unmarked. I breathe a grateful sigh and murmur a quiet thank you to my mother. My first quest! I look around and see that Joey has no mark, either.

"Want to group?" I ask.

"Sure!" Joey says. She's looking a little nervous about going into the labyrinth, but I smile encouragingly and look around for someone else to complete our trio.

I hope it's OK that I included Joey. I don't know if you wanted her to stay out of the labyrinth or not, but you can change it. I just thought of Joey as Nadia's only friend. Also I feel like nothing happened in this post...oh well.
