Labyrinth Tunnels Code7

If you're just joining us, start at the first labyrinth post. You can find all the labyrinth posts at the Power of Claw page.

I'm going to keep this one short because I don't know who's reading. Certain parties might have access to this site, and the less they know the better. Little Crow still isn't back, and we have no information except for what Who, the owl, already reported: they split up.

I let Trill enter the code this time, since she guessed it first: Y-E-S-T-E-R-D-A-Y. (Kudos also to Scarlet and Arra.) The dark, heavy door creaks open, and we see a welcome sight:

A short, well-lit hallway. You might even say the light is warm. It hums at a low frequency and a high frequency at the same time, and almost seems to be speaking to us. The badger's eyes light up, too, as he scratches another letter off the bark:

-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-

The next combination lock shows we need a five-letter word, and the next riddle appears to be projected by the strange light source onto the opposite wall.

Can anyone help? Also, if you hear Little Crow's wingflaps coming down the tunnel, please alert me immediately.

Charlie, be careful!! I have just talked to Alexander, and he told me that he had been talking to the bats in the cave. They said, direct quote:"Blind worms, you must leave this pure place and return above ground. This (the bat mumbled something) is purer than (mumbled again) know. Leave, for your flesh is not pure and here the laws as blind as you are affect us not. Leave." This was directed at the group, not Alexander. Howeaver, in an older bat language, Alexander heard," This is not for the weak. The weak with their torches and food from above, with no armor or claw, with no ( the bat said a word that does not really exist in our language group, but means "eyesight of the pure creatures" or "weapons of the pure creature") but when you leave, those that may be strong and that may survive, may stay and learn the arts(?). Our master is coming, and he has collected the inpure. The bird of inky water (little crow) and the fox with the bolt fire (Eliyana Fur) and the human with mocking power (Icy). The strong bats He let through, but the weaker ones he took." After that he just mumbled. Alexander has an explaination.

Ok, here is my explaination: bats are mean. They only like the "pure" or strong animals. Bats also like intellectuals, like myself, and favor them for generals, librarians ect. But they view many animals, like crows, as mockery of bats, and generaly hate them. They view humans as weak, but they must find Elliot's blades and cypher device as "pure". They also hate foxes, but I think Fur may have provoked the guard/captor. I think that whoever capture them is a bat-like creature, or at least accepts bat philosophies. I am not like that, but the bats who live in caves most of the time develope this hatred. Help?

Wait, do I have to write my name too? Since your ~Eli <3 is like your signature thing?

Yeah, sure. You can.

We need to stay in a group! Splitting up will just make everything worse.

How many people are here? If we have 50, spliting into 25 and 25 isn't that bad, but if we have 2 we should stick together.

Admins, I can't find it, but at some point there was a live chat. Chat is the wrong word, but a lot of people got on at the same time, and post were published immediately. Can you do another of those? Please? Thank you!

-Trixie Woods

It was called a live chat. I'll pass the request on. However, it's hard for us to specify a time in advance and to find a time that's good for most of those interested in joining.

Can I join? By the way I am a silver tabby. I was a house cat but when I found out my owner worked 4 B.I.G I ran away.

Scarlet suggests 'words' as the answer. I use a pencil and lightly write in 'words'. Nothing happens, but the scroll fades a little--almost as if it's a warning that the next wrong answer will dissolve the parchment forever! Arra walks over with a somber look on her face as I head over to Charlie.

"Er...I heard you two talking," she says, slightly hesitant. "Sorry to eavesdrop, but the answer might be truth."

"Hey, good thought!" I exclaim. Almost timidly, I write the answer down in the purple blank spot, bracing myself for the scroll to turn to dust in my paws. To my surprise, it opens up like a book, and a slip of yellowed paper falls out onto the ground! "Yes! It worked!" I whisper. "Come over here," I tell Arra and Scarlet, noticing Who and his eagle (or should I say owl) eyes staring at us.

Over in a dark dip in the wall of the cave, I use my night-vision to read the small slip of hidden paper. My eyes practically pop out of my head as I read the words:

A long time ago, the Powers were alive. They roamed the world, and as they did they created Kyngdom. Everything you see around you was created by the Powers. But would you believe that the evil might not have existed? When one Power went dark, Kyngdom did too. A dark dragon named Jaaws emerged and began to turn humans and animals alike to her ways. We write her name here, but do not dare to speak it aloud unless you wish to awaken her and wreak havoc amongst Kyngdom. Jaaws went to sleep after the Powers were killed. She now slumbers deep within this labrynth, waiting for someone to come across her and awaken her. This knowledge is known only to the Powers and one mortal. His name we do not mention. If he were to learn where Jaaws slumbered, all would be lost. This is why we ask you, as the ones who know this labrynth more than any of you, to stay on the path. Do not take the walls for granted. As one of you obviously learned, not all is as it seems. As you journey ahead you may feel strange bursts of anger, hate, or jealousy. Do not heed them, for the deeper you travel the closer you get to Jaaws's cavern. She drips malice, and some of it may have soaked into the walls. When you reach your destination, go only for what you came here for. Be sure none of you are spies. Don't, in the final stage of the labyrinth's tunnels, let the tempting offers of the other tunnels lead you astray. It is very much a test, one you do not want to fail. Good luck with your journey. Do not show this to evil eyes.

Scarlet and Arra are speechless. So am I, for goodness's sake! I've never heard of Jaaws.

"Guys, we can't show this to anybody else unless we know we can trust them. We should show it to Charlie!" I squeak.

Rolling up the scroll tightly with the note tucked safely inside, the three of us approach Charlie by the lock to the next door. I'm careful not to touch it, what with the dangerous enchantment on it, and I present the miniature note to him. "Charlie, read this, but don't show it to anybody else!"

We could try plane or point for the lock.

~Wiseowl

"Help!" I shout. but I don't think anyone can hear me. "OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE!" I say. my words echoing all arond me. It's creepy in here. I shudder. And I realize something. I can fly! Duh. I smack my forehead. I should have thought of this. All I have to do is morph into an owl and fly. But I still have a question. Are Icy and Eli and Little Crow down here? I morph into an owl. Now, with my excellent eye sight I fly around the small cave. Is that wall... trembaling? Not good. "NOT GOOD!" Uh oh. The wall, actually not a wall stands up, AND SPEAKS!!

wEll WeLl welL. whAt Do wE havE hEre? aN owL? *snIff* oOOhh. A moRpher. lOoKs liKe oWlivIa fiNally mAted aGainsT mY warNings. *cacKles* heR lOSs.

I try to fly up, but the hole isn't there. "HELP! I scream, furiosly beating my wings. "HELP!"

aWw. iT's trYing tO geT awAy. wEll, i'Ll sHure haVe sOme fuN wheN thEy heAr aBout mE.

"Where is Icy?!" I scream at it. "And Eli, and Little Crow?!"

Oh sO thoSe arE thEir namEs. I suGest yOu geT oUt Of heRe. oWlivia wouLdn'T waNt yoU tO DIe sO soON.

I'm about to say no. But I can't warn the others or save Icy, Eliyanna, or Little Crow if I do die. A hole opens up abve me, and I zoom right through, panting. The hole closes up. I turn around. The grouop is staring at me. "What?" I say as I morph back into an girl. "Uhh.." Scarlet pauses. "Nothing." Thmble quickly finishes. But later I heard some group members whisper about. "...forgot she was an owl..."

Oh dear......not good.

Trill saw Wiseowl look slightly depressed, and heard the whispers of the girls. "....forgot how to fly....forgot....owl..." Trill understood and walked over to Wiseowl. She sat down by her. "It's okay. Anyone might forget if the walls were being weird." Trill grinned. "I know I would." Wiseowl half-smiled. Then she turned serious. "I heard.....something...down in the hole." Trill stiffened slightly. "What?" she asked. "It..was talking about...Icy, Eli and Little Crow." Uh oh, Trill thought. "You mean the three people Moonshadow is planning to rescue...." Trill said slowly. Wiseowl nodded. They looked at each other, and Trill paled. "It's  a trap," they said together. "We have to tell Moonshadow-" She broke off when she saw Moonshadow and Scarlet coming over. "We are going to leave soon. You ready?" Scarlet asked. Trill took a deep breath. "Moonshadow, Scarlet, I want to, but I can't. We can't. It's a trap," she said shakily.

I think we should discuss this as a whole group before making a decision. Also I think we should kick who out.

I agree. There is no room for traitors. But then again, there's always that possiblity in everything you do.
