Labyrinth Tunnels Code7

Labyrinth Tunnels Code7

If you're just joining us, start at the first labyrinth post. You can find all the labyrinth posts at the Power of Claw page.

I'm going to keep this one short because I don't know who's reading. Certain parties might have access to this site, and the less they know the better. Little Crow still isn't back, and we have no information except for what Who, the owl, already reported: they split up.

I let Trill enter the code this time, since she guessed it first: Y-E-S-T-E-R-D-A-Y. (Kudos also to Scarlet and Arra.) The dark, heavy door creaks open, and we see a welcome sight:

A short, well-lit hallway. You might even say the light is warm. It hums at a low frequency and a high frequency at the same time, and almost seems to be speaking to us. The badger's eyes light up, too, as he scratches another letter off the bark:

-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-

The next combination lock shows we need a five-letter word, and the next riddle appears to be projected by the strange light source onto the opposite wall.

Can anyone help? Also, if you hear Little Crow's wingflaps coming down the tunnel, please alert me immediately.

We are not kicking anyone out. That is probably what the monster wants us to do, make us turn on ourselves.

We can't kick him out, and we can't let him know we have something against him. We must keep it secret. Hey Charlie, how 'bout point? I thought of that earlier. If that doesn't work, try plane.

I have made an explanation of why the answer is point!

The note that first said that Who was a traitor was lying on the ground, he must have seen it.

Hey, wait. Zero thoughts to go around? Why not try plain for the answer?

"A trap," I mutter. "Of course. But I have a plan." Everyone looks at me confusedly. I scratch a map in the dirt with my claw. It shows the underneath, as we have begun to call the place where Wiseowl fell. We don't know the creature's name yet, so we don't know what to call it. I call it Strange. "Spyral, Rob, and Thimble," I say. "You're small, Rob is sneaky, Thimble's a great spy, and Spyral glows. I think you two should go through the hole, and explore the cave. Scout it out. See what you see. Then come me back and tell us. That way I can map it in the dirt along with Strange. Next, Arra, Wiseowl, and Scarlet will fly quietly in, following any tunnels that Thimble, Rob, and Spyral found. They might find Icy, Eli, and Little Crow. If so, one of you come back and get me. If Strange wakes up, I will distract it. It will want me because I am the Power of Howl's future guardian, but I won't let it capture me. If it does, don't rescue me. You'll only put yourself in more danger. I'll get myself out. But that isn't likely to happen. Then we'll need a second wave of fighters. Elliot, Trill, and Trixie can help with this. If Strange gets really out of control, we'll call you in, and you can help fight it off. Orién, we need you down there to map what you see to take back to the Mapmakers Association at home. Finally, Charlie and Who will stay here and try to figure out the code. They can also put in the two password ideas, Point, and Plane. If I left anyone out, and you would like to help, you should be able to n the second wave. And if I put you in my plan, you can drop out. I'll work out a way to fill in the empty spaces. And one more thing, it's scary, but Strange could be Jaaws. We'll start soon. Wiseowl, did you see anything suspicious before Strange attacked?" Wiseowl spoke shyly. "Well, there was one long dark tunnel, but that was it."

"I suggest Thimble, Rob, and Spyral go down that tunnel and scout it out."

So who's with me? Do you like my plan? Want to change your position? Be sure to comment. I'm open to all new ideas.

Trill listened to Moonshadow's plan. She nodded, and said. "Sounds good to me." She walked over to Charlie. "Hey, a lot of us are going to scout the underneath, but we have a couple more suggestions. Try point, plane or plain," she said, and walked to a rock near the door. Trill sat down. Now for the anxious waiting, she thought. "Be careful, everyone!" Then she heard a voice so loud, it reverberated in her head.

sO mY pLaN iS wOrKiNg, Eh? LeT tHeM cOmE. i WiLl Be WaItInG.....

Trill shivered. "What's wrong?" Who asked, landing beside her. 'Spy!!' Her head screamed, but she calmly answered, "Didn't you hear that voice?" Who looked confused and shook his head.

Seems a pretty good plan. I'm in.

Slight continuity failure, so far only Scarlet, Arra, Thimble, and Thisleclaw have seen the scroll. You wouldn't know about Jaaws. Sorry for being so nitpicky. I wouldn't have said anything except that this is important.

Dis is such an out of character comment...

Any other ideas for the answer?

"I FEEL LIKE A LAZY LINE LYING FLAT UPON THE GROUND

WITH ZERO SLOPE AND ZERO Y AND ZERO CARES TO GO AROUND.

WHAT IS THE GROUND?"

submitted by Charlie
(May 29, 2016 - 8:24 am)

The answer is point. "Lazy line lying flat above the ground" means the thing is flat. "With zero slope and zero Y" means that it is, once again not high, or flat, but zero Y is a red herring (Read the author Edger Allen Poe's works), because we have no origin point, so Y could mean anything as long as it was in our dimension, but probably means (not mathmaticly) that this thing is like a line, only on the X axis, pressuming that Y means y axis. "Zero cares to go around" means that the object is a dot, or a five ltter word like: ta da! The answer, point. I got there by looking at the "to go around" part! The thing does not go around, so is like a dot, and the only five-letter word for that is point!

(I am sorry if I discredited anyone's math ideas for this, and I am sorry if this upset anyone. Also, anyone want to do an RP thingy for this, you know, me talking and everyone falling asleep!)

That plan seems like it would work, what should I do?? Also Charlie, try those two combinations and if they don't work then we will try to find more answers, that Way we won't waste time if one of those two are correct.
