If you're new here, start at the first labyrinth post. All the labyrinth posts live on the Power of Claw page.

This latest solution was a bit meta, wasn't it? I clicked the combination lock to "O-P-E-N," and that's exactly what the gate did. We found ourselves in an incredibly long and incredibly straight hallway that led straight to this door made of what looks like new-ish wood. It could also be wood that hasn't been disturbed for centuries--it's hard to tell down here.

This time the code is a little tough to read, since it's so tiny and high up. Here's my best attempt at photographing it in this low light:

Can anyone help?

NOTES:

1. Thanks to Little Crow for the, er, enthusiastic guest post yesterday.

2. Here's the latest bark update from old badger, who is sipping about five cups of green-stone tea per day lately (we'll need to do another green stone run at this rate): -J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-.

3. I miss the sun. And yeah, that's coming from a Sprocketville bunker boy. I wonder how Dr. Sheepshank and the rest of the Cypher Labs folks are doing up there.

4. Who won the last few flying races, and Little Crow seems to have given up for a while. Knowing him, though, he'll challenge that owl first thing tomorrow.

5. Silverpaw still snores.

6. B.I.G. is still suspiciously quiet up there. Either the tunnels have taken us far away from them, or they've finished their work, or something else is up.

I looked in my brother's rhyming dictionary, and here are all the four-letter words that rhyme with conceal. (Skipping proper nouns.)

Keel, deal, feel, heel, heal, leal, meal, peel, peal, reel, teal, veal, and weal.

There is also he'll and we'll, but those have apostrophes.

There's also creel, eel, kneel, real, seal, squeel, steal, steel, and zeal. The only ones that seem to make sense are seal and zeal.

Or maybe it's zeal. That actaully might fit!

It does!

Okay, I think it should probably rhyme like the others. Let's try S-E-A-L.... Nothing happened. Now Z-E-A-L.... Still nothing. This one is hard.

Oops! Lucky for me, the Admins fixed it. Thanks Admins!

To my fellow Kyngdom users:    Two things to say...

The night sky sings to me, daring my wings to fly. The urge is resisted long enough to write this. What progress is being made? The BIG, as you say are no more than a murmur. The sooner the code is deciphered, the better.  I am now off to soar!

You miss the sun? Try living in a covered wagon all your life and then spending twelve days in some tunnels. The Cypher labs were bad enough.

CAPTCHA is yryr. I don't think I've gotten a pattern before.

I found this on a wall near the last gate.

Can anyone make sense of it? I can't work decoders. My claws are too big.

What's that reddish square by the arches on the first and second pictures? It has a metal ring on it!

It says I'll get all youre mine. That must mean I'll get all you're mine, but what is our mine?

Wow, you're right! It's not there in the full picture!

Thimble~

I'm rather stumped with this new riddle. I'm trying to be a little bit useful, but so far the only help I've been was to solve one simple riddle and make everybody scared with a mysterious scroll. Well, that's not anything I'm putting on my resume.

Some of the group thinks we should split up to search for the missing group. I'm not so sure about that. Icy and Eli are capable fighters. If it were just a matter of finding them, I'm sure they would've gotten themselves out by now. Something dangerous is out there.

Then a thought occurs to me. People have been in here before. A really long time ago. Well, who's to say they didn't wake up....er, that dragon....before? I mean, the scroll made her sound like she was pretty close to the gate we were in. I feel like we would've found her by now. She could've escaped--and--and--she could be following us right now!

Scarlet, Arra, and Wiseowl are trying to crack the code. They're right by the door. I hope they don't notice me sit close to them but as far from the door as possible.

"Come sit closer, Thimble," Arra invites. Okay, so they did notice. I'm just a little scared of the door, that's all! Nothing to be ashamed about, right? The only thing shameful is that without the sunlight my new fur is growing in all dusky. No matter how much I groom myself, it remains coarse. I shake my head. No more worrying about appearances. It's time for work.

Wiseowl, in human form, scours the wall for extra minute clues. Me? I wait for her to sit back down. You won't catch me climbing that slick brick wall. Scarlet leans close to me. "Lucy, that little girl genius, thinks Wiseowl is the spy," she whispers while Arra isn't looking. Bringing me up to date on the rumors? Hm. Or does Scarlet think so, too?

"Do you think that?" I ask worriedly.

"Well, I'm actually not sure yet," she replies, a hint of concern creeping into her own eyes.

"It would make sense. She could've framed Who, possibly even sent false messages. All the while the 'innocent' owl-human gets the inside scoop on everything to be known," I continue, stating the reason for both of our worries.

But when Wiseowl turns back, we put on smiles and act like the whole thing never happened. One more thought whistles through my brain at the last moment: Jaaws will tear you apart, it said. Jaaws will tear you apart.

Oh sorry Charlie, I didn't see your post. If it's not those then what about spiel? Acoording to the dictionary it's 1.) a long or fast speech or story, typically one intended as a means of persuasion or an excuse but regarded with skepticism or contempt by those who hear it. That might work.
