Dearest F.A.F.A, Capto Abolere, animal allies, and friends,
So much exciting and terrifying news as of recently. I am thrilled to report to everyone: the beast has been captured! This is NOT a joke—even though it is April 1st, our most foolish of days. Tremendous thanks to Trill W., Scarlet, Tani V., Storm Windwhisperer, Laria, Capri, Kasumi Hayashi, Rose bud, and everyone else who participated in the great battle to capture the Gryphon. Everyone showed great strength and courage (read more about it here). We now have the beast contained (thank you beavers for your assistance!) and medicated with sleeping darts. Gryphon’s wing was injured in the battle (I’m not sure which of our brave fighters struck this impressive blow). The creature is currently unable to fly and should be safe in this cage—for now. We hope.
THE QUEST NOW: We need volunteers to approach the Gryphon while it’s contained in its cage. Please report back to me what you find out in the comments below. Those from Capt’n O, I know you’ve had many recent battles with the Gryphon. Maybe your experiences will help give a unique perspective on how to handle the beast (read more about their adventures here). To those that say the beast is untamable, I await the day we prove them wrong and they have to “eat crow.” (Oh, how I pine for a less morbid turn of phrase.) We can prevail. We have Storm’s tablet translator, so we have a means of communicating with the Gryphon. But what should we ask? In your interrogations, try and find out all you can about its powers. How do they work? What else can it do? Why was it rampaging through the village? What does it want?

Yay for my tablet translator app! Hoot hoot! Anyways, hopefully nobody had pranked anybody yet, because I have read that some owlets from the great tree have stuck sap to one of their teacher's nest. What terrible tricks! Happy April Fools, and I have made everyone brownies from brown paper, shaped into an 'e'. teehee!
Ok, back to the serious stuff, I think Tani has some relationship with the gryphon or something. This is getting exciting!

Hello, dear Guardian! I have been practicing diplomacy since I did emerge from the egg that sheltered me (ask Reyn if you wish to question the veracity of that statement) and I would, if you will it, volunteer to speak with this Gryphon. I would also be willing to simply observe the Gryphon, and report to you any information I gather.

Due to the fact that I am a Time Lady, I can speak many languages including horse and baby human. I've never met a gryphon before, but I'm game to try!
