Song game!!!

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Song game!!!

Song game!!!

I had a brilliant idea. Or maybe it's brilliant. I guess we'll see. So, what if one CBer writes a couple lines of a song, and the next CBer has to post a couple lines of the song that it made them think of.

For instance, if I posted:

Now it's cold without you here

it's like winter lasts all year

but your star's still in the sky

so I won't say goodbye

Then the next person could post:

The cold never bothered me anyway.

It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small

and the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through

no right no wrong, no rules for me, I'm free!

Then say the next person posted:

Free to be anything you choose.

Free to weigh tables and shine shoes!

And so on. Got it? Okay, just remember to make sure the last person has posted before you post.

All right, so here are the song lyrics we'll start with:

And at last I see the light

and it's like the fog has lifted

and at last I see the light

and it's like the sky is new

and it's warm and real and bright

and the world has somehow shifted

Have fun!

I think there's another thread like this that was just started a few days ago. Please be sure to list the song/show and/or singer/writer to give proper credit to the lyrics. I'm pretty sure the words above are from Frozen. Am I right?

Well, I think those lyrics remind me of Monody by TheFatRat, so I'll post some of those lyrics here

Watching seasons change

Our roads were lined with adventure

Mountains in the way

Couldn't keep us from the sea

Here we stand, open arms

This is home where we are

Ever strong in the world that we made

I still hear you in the breeze

See your shadows in the trees

Moving on, memories never change

Through the darkness and cold

The wind in the trees

A girl with no name

And no memories, but these...

Sorry! I wasn't aware that anyone else had stated a thread like this.

The song lyrics are from Tangled and the examples are Frozen, West Side Story, and RWBY.

That reminds me of Someone Like You, by Adele. I think it's only because it says the word "memories."

Never mind I'll find someone like you,

I wish nothing but the best for you two,

"Don't forget me," I beg,

"I'll remember" you said,

Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

Nothing compares, no worries or cares

Regrets and mistakes they're memories made,

Who would've known how bittersweet this would taste?

The last comment was an Adele song which made me think of hello

Hello

It's me

I was wondering if after all these years you liked me

to go over

everything

the say the time's suppose to heal you

but I ain't done much healing

This is actually a song from a book! I'm not sure what made me think of it but:

"Oak, Granite,

Lilies by the road.

Remember me?

I remember you.

Clouds rushing

Clover Hills,

Remember me?

Sister, child,

Grown taller,

Remember me?

I remember you."

It's from Ella, Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine. :)

Now I'm out here looking like revenge
Feelin' like a ten, the best I ever been
And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt
To see me like this, but it gets worse

*shrugs* I dunno. Adele reminded me of Demi Lovato. Though they're really very different, I know.

That comment made me think of "Love's Just a Feeling," by Lindsey Stirling ft. Rooty.

'Cause love's just a feeeliiiiiiiiiing,

Some kind of emotionn,

When you need the heeeealllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiing,

When you're all brookenn...

Don't over think iiiiiiiiitttt,

Until the moment is broookennn....

'Cause love's just a feeeeliiiiiiiiiiing,

And right now I'm opppennn, I'm ooopen!!!!

Look it up, they're both incredible!!!

That song reminded me of Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede, a classic rock song.

IIII’m hooked on a feeling!

And I’m high on believing,

That you’re in love with me!

I said I’m hooked on a feeling!

I forget who originally sang this, but I wanna say U2?

When I see your face,

There's not a thing that I would change

Because you're amazing

Just the way you are!

From the Leap soundtrack.......

You'll be brighter than the stars

And you'll see how radiant you are
I know you're full of doubt
But don't let them bring you down
'Cause you're unstoppable

That reminds me of Invincible, by Kelly Clarkson.  (Random sidenote: Did anyone else see the Super Bowl commercial for The Voice? I loved it! :)

Now I am invincible,

No I ain't a scared litle girl no more

Now I am invincible

What was I running for
