Song game!!!

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Song game!!!

Song game!!!

I had a brilliant idea. Or maybe it's brilliant. I guess we'll see. So, what if one CBer writes a couple lines of a song, and the next CBer has to post a couple lines of the song that it made them think of.

For instance, if I posted:

Now it's cold without you here

it's like winter lasts all year

but your star's still in the sky

so I won't say goodbye

Then the next person could post:

The cold never bothered me anyway.

It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small

and the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through

no right no wrong, no rules for me, I'm free!

Then say the next person posted:

Free to be anything you choose.

Free to weigh tables and shine shoes!

And so on. Got it? Okay, just remember to make sure the last person has posted before you post.

All right, so here are the song lyrics we'll start with:

And at last I see the light

and it's like the fog has lifted

and at last I see the light

and it's like the sky is new

and it's warm and real and bright

and the world has somehow shifted

Have fun!

I think there's another thread like this that was just started a few days ago. Please be sure to list the song/show and/or singer/writer to give proper credit to the lyrics. I'm pretty sure the words above are from Frozen. Am I right?

Love Without End-George Strait

Let me tell you a secret,

About a father's love,

A secret that my daddy said,

Was just between us,

He said daddies don't just love their children every now and then,

It's a love without end, amen.

That reminds me of Father and Son by Cat Stevens.

I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy,

To be calm when you've found something going on

But take your time, think a lot,

Why, think of everything you've got

For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not

Cat's in the Cradle- Harry Chapin

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,

Little boy blue and the man in the moon,

When you comin home dad?

I don't know when,

But we'll get together then,

You know we'll have a good time then

Cats in the Cradle makes me think about Dancing with my Father by Luther Vandross.

If I could get another chance

Another walk
Another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love

To dance with my father again

Reminds me of I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady.

I could have danced all night; I could have danced all night

And still have begged for more

I could have spread my wings and done a thousand things

I'd never done before

I'll never know what made it so exciting, why all at once my heart took flight

I only know when he began to dance with me

I could have danced, danced, danced all night

AAAAAAAHHHH! I love My Fair Lady!

This reminds me of Once Upon a December from Anastasia.

Dancing bears,

painted wings,

things I almost remember

And a song

someone sings

once upon a December

It's a bit of a leap, but from there I reached Yellow Submarine by the Beatles.

In the town where I was born,

Lived a man who sailed to sea.

And he told us of his life,

In the land of submarines...

So we sailed out to the sun,

'Til we found the sea of green,

And we lived beneath the waves,

In our yellow submarine.

That reminds me of this part (I think the chorus) of "Bird and the Worm" by Owl City

You and I left our troubles far behind

(Troubles far behind)

But I still have just one more question on my mind

For all my pals who live in the oceans and the seas

With friends like these, well,

Who needs enemies?

That remind me of The Troubles by U2:

I have a will for survival

So you can hurt me then

hurt me some more

I can live with denial

But you're not my troubles anymooooore...

Kilp says codx. You have a Codex? Is it Incan?

For some reason I’m reminded of Heroine by Sunmi (주인공 by 선미)

Even if you're mean

And you make me sad

You need to be yourself

Even if i'm not feeling well

And it's sad ending

The show must go on

The show must go on

You always fight to the bitter end

And try to cover everything

Why did you gave me wings and

Want me to fall

That reminds me of SCARS TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL by Alissia Cara

So to all the girls that's hurting

Let me be your mirror, help you see a little bit clearer

The light that shines within
