This is, indeed, the ski lodge connected to the hotel ski lodge I finished not too long ago. I intend to make this one more eloquent then the hotel one, which was painfully short. If you like mysterious, strange ski lodges, then by all means, come.

Day 7 (try 2):

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Icy rolled over in her sleep, then yelped; her hand had landed in something sticky. Byann stood over her, weilding a jam jar and a butter knife, an evil sort of glint in his eyes.
"Good morning," he chimed in a falsely innocent voice. Icy groaned. Darkking half-heartedly threw a pillow at him. Icy went to go wash her hands. Once she left, Byann threw the pillow back at Darkking. When Icy came back, she found herself in a full-blown pillow fight. She grinned and grabbed a weapon of her own. Annabelle groaned and buried herself under a pile of blankets. Voila? became overcome with a fit of giggles, leaving herself vulnerable. Darkking took that Moment to throw his pillow at her, but he missed, knocking over a nightstand instead. The pillow fight stopped after that.
Pine cabin burst into breakfast, giggling madly. Those who were in the other cabin- Fireburst, Ty, Will, and Nymph- were already there. the rest set down in their spots and begin to eat scrambled eggs and cereal. Everyone made plans to go outside together exept Will, Annabelle, and Nymph- Will and Annabelle had books to finish, and Nymph was too preoccupied being antisocial. When breakfast was over, Darkking, Ty, Fireburst, Byann, Mor, Icy, Everstorm, and Viola? trooped out in a large pack. Voila? looked admiringly at the beautiful, bright flowers weaving up a tree trunk.
They somehow found themselves at the lake. Fireburst looked up and saw two tree branches over the lake that made a sort of tightrope. She stared at it, then a grin creeped up on her face...
Byann noticed where she was looking. Stealthily as he could, he snaked his way through the group, then climbed the tree. He trampled across the branches way too fast, so when he reached the middle, it pitched him forward and he landed, headfirst, in the lake. The others looked at him and laughed, then begin attempting the tightrope themselves.
Icy went first. She climbed the tree with great care, placing her feet in sensible places. When she got to the tightrope, she wrapped her whole body around the branch and shimmied her way across. It was extremely effective, and there was only one small tense moment when she transferred to the second branch. The rest applauded her, then Viola? took her turn. She took the same approach as Icy, maybe a tiny bit less careful going up thee tree, but otherwise the same. When she got to the middle, though, she put too much weight on the right side, so she toppled over and descended into the lake. She popped up seconds later, laughing.
The rest followed; those who wanted more of a challenge walked on it like a balance beam. they were having so much fun that they stayed out there all morning, their wet clothes and hair plastered to their skin from falling in or swimming. When Ty was going again, he began to sing Believer. The rest picked it up and begin to sing raucously. They only went back to the treehouse when all of their stomachs had turned into starving little monsters.
For lunch, Madam Bearu had made Mexican. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos- she even threw in a little bowl of chocolates for each table, because hey, why not. Darkking inhaled just about all of it in 2 minutes. Byann stared at him admiringly as he ate every single chocolate in the bowl.
Viola? had enjoyed the fun at the lake, but she wanted a bit of time to herself. She wandered aimlessly through the rooms, cross The Swinging Bridge, and found herself in a very peculiar room. It had a big, sleek floor, with four large poles in the corners supporting the frame of a roof-except there wasn't a roof in the frame. It simply opened up to the heavens, with no ceiling, walls, or door. So simple, so... beautiful. Viola? simply stood in the middle of the room, staring upwards, noting the delecate elegance of it all. The intertwining branches fading into twigs and leaves, the sun's Rays forcing their way through the thick forest canopy, the mouse on the tree trunks, which vary in thickness and color... She slowly sank to the floor, completely awestruck. A burgundy Leaf parted gently with its branch, floating joyfully and daintily down, landing right on Viola's? nose. She giggled and let it rest there, and she set in the quiet piece of the empty, open room. Then a sudden realization struck her...
"Icy would love this," she murmured to herself. Reluctant as she was to leave, she was also eager to show her friend her discovery.
She hopped across bridges in through unexplored rooms, Then peeked into their new cabin. She peered around, then let out moan- for not only did Icy lay dead on the floor, but also Byann next to her.
~
(After dinner)
Annabelle stuck her bookmark in her book, setting it down on the table next to her. Will, who was sitting across from her, took no notice and continued in his own book. Annabelle huffed. Will ignored her. She cleared her throat. He ignored her.
"Will," Annabelle said loudly, "we need something to do." At long last, he set his own book down.
"I suppose you're right," he sighed after a long pause. Annabelle searched her brian.
"There's checkers in the game room," she recalled slowly. Will's face lit up.
"Great! I love checkers." He waltzed out of the library. Annabelle smiled to herself. Will return with a rectangular box in his arms.
"Red or black?" He asked. The two AEs slayed out across the floor, weighing their options of where to move next. Annabelle managed to  acquire the first king, but Will was more skilled; he jumped it before Annabelle could realize her mistake. After several minutes of battling, Will cornered Annabelle's last remaining piece, forcing her to accept defeat. Will cheered inwardly. They told each other good game, then headed for their cabins.
Strange, I suspected myself. But now I'm dead, and--
WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING!? Mourn for me! I was well loved and stuff! I was very popular and--I really wasn't--but why are you celebrating the post is finally up and Soren finally triumphed? I just died!
...Oh. Right. Great work, Soren! I know the feeling of not being able to get a long writing post in, and I'm proud you were able to do this!
Hm, Snowy says toro. Toro? Isn't that what you say when there's an angry bull around? Wait, is there? Snowyyy! Tell me more!
Oh, dear.
I can't quite wrap my head around the way everyone is dying. Am I allowed to inspect the bodies? I probably wouldn't think of it right away, the loss being more predominant. But no marks? At all? How?! I guess it's easier than the way Alizarine and I did our ski lodge... Maybe it's Darkking, or Annabelle.
Day 8
~~~~~~~~~~

Mor had gone to bed early the previous night, so she woke up early that morning too.  She sat up and stretched, careful not to hit Everstorm's bunk above her, then paused- there was a strange buzzing noise. She scanned the room for what it was, then spotted a large wasp perched on a night stand next to her. She slipped out of her bunk, crept over to the trunk she shared with Darkking and Will, pulled out one of Will's books, jumped over to the wasp, and whacked it repeatedly with the book.

Darkking sat up at the noise, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling. Annabelle, Viola?, and Everstorm awoke as well. Darkking scrambled out of his bunk and over to his beloved CAPTCHA, who was standing there innocently with Will's book. Darkking surveyed the scene, understood what had happened, and sighed.

"You could have just left it alone..." He pointed out half-heartedly. Mor ignored him. Darkking climbed back into his bunk, but Mor, Annabelle, Viola?, and Everstorm began to go to breakfast. Then, Mor got an idea. She whispered it to the CBer, AE, and fellow CAPTCHA. They all agreed that it would be fun, so they desserted their current path and followed the signs to a different destination. Mor snaked up in the lead, creaked open the door, and sneaked inside Oak cabin where Fireburst, Ty, Will, and Nymph were sleeping- but not for long.

"GOOD MORNING!" Viola? and Annabelle had screeched while Mor and Everstorm varied it to "GOOD MORN INNG!" Ty fell out of his bunk, which must have hurt, because he was sleeping above Will, Fireburst jumped as though she had received an electric shock, Will yelped loudly, and Nymph stood up and snarled, baring poisonous fangs and sprouting devil-like horns. The four girls from Pine cabin laughed. Nymph glared at her CBer furiously.

"C'mon," Viola? said between giggles, "Let's go to breakfast." The eight of them began to walk together, four smiling, three rolling their eyes, and one livid. Annabelle nearly tripped on her shoelaces, so she dropped back to tie them. Will noticed it was taking her a while. He looked back, then gasped; Annabelle lay dead, untied shoelaces strewn across the floor.

Ten minutes later, Darkking came into the dining room and noticed that his AE looked a little down. He understood as his eyes slid over to the empty seat next to Will. While he still felt the usual pang in the stomach, the shock of death was wearing off. Darkking plopped down on the table he shared with his brother- Neko, MJ, and Icy were, of course, dead. Ty was just getting through his fourth waffle when Viola? and Fireburst asked if they could sit at their table. the death toll was Mountain so high that all of the tables were half empty, one with all four dead (Harli, Byann, Winter, Ocean). Ty and Darkking agreed.

"You know, we should do something together like yesterday, " Fireburst said thoughtfully as she pulled up a chair, "like soccer." Ty looked up.

"Um. That's perfect, actually." Two seconds later, they were organizing a soccer game. The CAPTCHAS joined them, but Will and Nymph, as usual, elected to sit out. They made two teams of 3: Viola?, Mor, and Darkking vs. Ty, Fireburst, and Everstorm.

"It would be nice if we had bigger teams..." Fireburst stated uncertainty, casting a glance at Nymph and Will. Nymph fired up immediately.

"I'm sorry, is it supposed to be my fault that I don't want to kick a ball across a bit of dirt?" she snarled, clearly still mad from Pine cabin's wake up call. Fireburst went stop sign red.

"Um... I'll go ask Madam Bearu if she has a soccer ball we can use," Viola? announced, breaking up the tense moment. Everyone stood around awkwardly, and we're all very grateful when Viola? returned with a large, battered soccer ball, which was mostly faded white with long streaks of mud across it. Those playing soccer left quickly after that. Will had long since disappeared to find a library, leaving Nymph to do who-knows-what.

The soccer group Thundered down the stairs, agreeing to have two offensive and one defensive player on each team. Fireburst declared that she would find a clear spot to play on. The rest followed her excitedly.

She found a good spot near the edge of the forest. She marked the goal with twigs, and Viola? and Everstorm took their places as defenders. Fireburst started off with the ball. Instead of Simply passing it to Ty, she did a pullback to pass it to Everstorm, who controlled it nicely incident herself up to pass to Ty, who was open, but it was quickly stolen by an aggressive Mor. She was so fast she was merely a blur, giving Everstorm no time to drop back- Everstorm, however, was lucky; Mor has missed the shot.

Everstorm aimed the goal kick to Ty; Fireburst was being guarded fiercely by Mor. He dribbled it up, but Viola? put her foot protectively in front of the ball; Ty lost control, giving Viola? the chance to pass it to Darkking. He took it down the feild, dodged the other players, and scored.

Mor gave her CBer a high-five, then got back in position as the other team started. Fireburst chose to pass to Ty this time; he dribbled up, but Viola? was ready for him. They had a sort of mini-war, Viola? coming out as the winner. She shot over the other way and nocked it up to Mor. She dribbled it fiercely, passed it to her CBer, who took a shot. This time, though, Everstorm was ready for it. She swooped down upon the ball, then came up about halfway up the field, then found Ty open; Viola? managed to save it just in time.

Twenty minutes later, the six guests were screaming themselves hoarse; they were tied 4 to 4, and whoever scored the next goal would win. Ty was starting; he booted it horizontally to Fireburst, who nearly got run over by Darkking as he swooped down to steal it. Everstorm and Ty blocked him, but in the opening between them, he could see his CAPTCHA, standing near the goal, wide open.

It was now or never- Darkking seized his chance, sticking his leg between the two guarding him, the ball miraculously finding its way to Mor, who didn't hesitate to kick it in the goal, securing their win.

The winning team cheered, then respectfully told Fireburst, Ty, and Everstorm good game. Then they all weaved their way back to the entrance to go take showers.

after they were all done, the six of them skated over to the game room for peculiar game of apples to apples, and which there were slimy high schools in mysterious waffles. All of them nearly died with laughter. Viola? Volunteered to pick up the cards and put the game away. as she was sliding it back on the Shelf, she saw the board game Monopoly. Then it happened, just as it had with Fireburst- a strange Flash in her memory.

She and Gracia we're carelessly enjoying a game of Monopoly. fake Recollections of a strange noises, a moment's hesitation, and Haze of panic confusedly clouded her eyes, followed by blurred vision in a sudden and capability to breathe...

Then, as it had with Fireburst, it came to an abrupt Halt, and Viola? had no idea that something odd had just happened.

~

Lunch was cheeseburgers, fries, and coleslaw that nobody ate. Viola? Showed will the wall-less room, but the AE, instead of admiring it's Beauty, thought it was simply a good place to read. Viola? was still at the beauty of the miraculous room, and spent quite a while examining and marveling at it. She noticed that the skyshad become gloomy; it's usual Emerald Q had become Melancholy pale, blanketed by long, low-hanging clouds that looked like pulled apart pieces of cotton candy set in the sky. it seemed to affect the whole Forest, which looked less beautiful. a sudden frigid breeze rushed through the air, and Viola? reluctantly retired to the inside of the Treehouse, will following with his nose in a Dusty old book.

That afternoon was dull; the remaining guess had been there over a week and were running out of things to do. The two CAPTCHAS soaked in the hot tub, but only for a little bit; Winter's ghosts seemed to haunt it.

It's just tomorrow, Fireburst thought, then we'll finally know who the murderer is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RIP, Annabelle.
I'm very good at soccer apparently, huh. IRL I would be running away in fear from the ball because the kids in my class kick it so hard that it could kill someone.
Also *hugs my AE* *lets gpo after several minutes have passed* I just needed to do that, he's a sensitive bean.
