So for my CBversary a few people said they wanted to do this. I am working on a Little Lost Library revival but that will probably take a while. In the meantime, here's the music club!
This is for anyone who loves music and wants to discover new artists. To join, just comment saying you want to join. Next Friday, we'll start rotating, starting with me and then in order of who commented. Anyone can join the rotation at any time! If you comment saying you want to join, you'll be added to the end of the rotation.
The way it will work is each week, the next person in the rotation picks an album to reccomend, and everyone listens to it. Once you've listened to the album, say a little about what you thought of it! Doesn't have to be too much, just something like, "I enjoyed it" or "It wasn't really for me" and maybe something like "___ was my favorite song" or whatever.
I think that's it! We'll start on the 26th :D

Okay, I'm just going to start tonight because I'm busy tomorrow and people can join whenever anyway. So the way this will work is, like I already said, every week a new person will choose an album in the order of who joined. The person should post the name of the album, the artist, the genre, and a little bit about the album (how they discovered it, their personal favorite songs, whatever they like). We will have the week to listen to the album, and once it's been a week it will be the next person in the rotation's turn. The next person will have seven days to announce the next album and if they don't we will skip them. Please listen to the album each week and, if you're able to, make a post about what you thought of it. The rotation will go like this (we'll add anyone who joins late to the end):

Okay, the first album is Immunity by Clairo, which I know I talk about a lot, but that's because it is so good. This album, especially the song "Sofia" (which remains a very favorite of mine) was so important to me as I was discovering my music taste and general love for music.
This album is sort of in the indie-pop genre, I would say. It's a lot about being a young person in the modern world, and the highs and lows that come with it. Clairo sings about love, sadness, her struggle with arthritis, and much more on this album. Some songs are sad and heavy, like "Alewife" (which is very sad but ultimately uplifting), and others are sweet and purposefully corny, like "Sofia." What I love about this album is not only its variety but its honesty. It feels so true to me.
Anyway, I love this album and I really hope you do too (ofc it's okay if you don't though lol)! I'm really excited to hear everyone's thoughts on it.
Next Thursday night/Friday, it will be Hawkstar's turn!

i used to listen to clairo a lot actually but i don't think i actually sat down and listened to the whole album! im listening to it right now :)
