Countdown to the

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Countdown to the

Countdown to the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP7)!

54 more days today (Sunday). So I just thought maybe every day until HP7 comes out, everybuggy (well, just everybuggy who's into Harry Potter) can post a favorite Harry Potter related memory in their life, or just talk about what's been going on in your day. So yeah. Hope that made sense.

(There's a new HP7 commercial on the Harry Potter website. It's EPIC.)

Butterbeer! I had some at a local HP festival and loved it.

I saw the scene where they all turn into Harry on one of the websites, it was pretty odd!

I think it will be especially cool to see the breaking into Gringotts scene, for some reason. It should be interesting seeing Helena Bonham Carter being herself being Hermione being Bellatrix! What is everyone else looking forward to??

Admin, I am slightly curious as to why "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" was taken out of one of my posts?

I don't think the Mighty Admins are allowed to put up things in other languages -- they don't know what they say, and it could be something bad. If you want them to post it you have to give a translation. I know because that happened to us in the RP on Inkwell -- someone used Latin for their spells and it was snipped.

Right, ZNZ, we keep foreign languages and code words to a minimum. Generally only very familiar words like Adios are allowed.

Haha, I saw that too.  Disdufhsidhfsidufh <- that's all my fingers are able to type as a result of my excitement.

5 days (omg... I remember when it was like 50 days. FIVE?!), 22 hours, 35 minutes, and 28 seconds.

I'm so glad someone started a post on this! (I see I'm quite late though; I hardly ever visit Pudding's Place) Anyway.......I got my ticket to the midnight premiere!!!!!! I'm SO excited!!! One of the theaters here was sold out over a week before it came out. Has anyone tried Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans? My sister got some for her birthday a few years ago; take my advice, and don't try 'em. I got sick after eating a soap flavored jelly bean. From what I remember there was dirt, grass, rotten sausage, soap, vomit, booger, and earwax. Ew.

3 MORE DAYS!!! This is CRAZY! We're so close, and yet, so far away. Has anyone seen Emma Watson's new hair? It's totally short now! They finished filming both parts of Harry Potter FIVE months ago! Maybe that's why I never got a letter back from Evanna Lynch...And it was four pages long! All in cursive, and I had to re-write it twice! Anyway, we're having a Harry Potter marathon at my house leading up to The Deathly Hallows. Order of the Phoenix tomorrow. It'll be really weird when part two comes out, and Harry Potter is done forever. No more books, no more movies, no more excitement and anxiety leading up to the premiere. No more sporting our new Harry Potter garb the day before the movie comes out. Now I'm going to make myself cry. Do you think Harry Potter will always be really famous, or do you think people will kinda forget about it--well not really forget about it-- just won't make as much a big deal about it like Lord of the Rings in a few years? Did anyone see Daniel Radcliffe on the Jimmy Fallon show? My Mama recorded it on the dish and we watched it today. It was funny.

Peacing out for now,

-Hannah☺☻

I'm sooo excited!!!!!!  I didn't go to the midnight showing, and I'm actually going to see it later in the month with my friend, but I'm still really psyched.  But Hannah, to your question, I don't think it will die forever.  It's such a big deal, such an amazing series and people will still be reading the books, even if many of us have already finished.  There will be no more midnight openings for anything anymore, but the books and characters still live on.  I don't think it will die on its own after these movies.  But I still can't believe it's over.  Wow.  This has been so much of my life and now it's almost over!  This is so crazy. :)

To those who saw it already, can't wait to here all about it!  MuggleCast has been talking about it a lot, but I would love to here how good it is from you guys!  I read a review in the newspaper saying it was really true to the book but kind of boring and basically what you expect.  I was so relieved then, because being true to the book is the most important thing, I think, in a movie adaption of a book (or else it makes me mad).

Nah, the fandom won't die. The fandom'll never die. It'll be different, sure, but it won't be dead. Fandoms don't die just because all the books and movies are out! I mean, look at LotR! (Though LotR is far better a book than HP, but my point still stands.) There'll still be things to debate, fanfictions to write, fan art to draw. And new people discover the books all the time. No, it won't be over.

I agree. Oh, and if JKR ever really writes that encyclopedia to the world she's mentioned, there'll be that, too!

Oh, that's right, I'd forgotten about that! So that's something else. I hope she really does write it -- that is something I would totally read.
