New music lyrics

New music lyrics thread, anyone? All the other ones are too massively long for my poor iPad to handle, so I thought I'd start a new one.
Paranoid Android by Radiohead. Obviously, I own nothing, music and lyrics are by Radiohead.
Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android) When I am king, you will be first against the wall
With your opinion which is of no consequence at all
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android) Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy
You don't remember
You don't remember
Why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head, man Off with his head, man
Why don't you remember my name?
I guess he does.... Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me TThat's it, sir
You're leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic,~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, the song is about Marvin the Paranoid Android. Amazing, yes?

*******

Falling in love with love is falling for make believe

Falling in love with love is playing the fool

Caring too much is such a juvenile fancy

Learning to trust is just for children in school

I fell in love with love one night when the moon was full

I was unwise with eyes unable to see

I fell in love with love, with love everlasting

But love fell out with me!

*******

This... is the version of Falling In Love With Love from the 1997 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, originally the second half of a song from The Boys from Syracuse by Rodgers and Hart (not Hammerstein, despite common misconception).

((Weird? Yes. But Bernadette needed to sing something, right? It would be almost criminal to cast her in a musical and then not give her a singing part. D:))

Behind These Havel Eyes By Kelly Clarkson (Awesome!!)

Ohhhhh!oh oh woahhhh!oh oh oh oh

Seems like just yesterday

you were a part of me

i used to stand so tall

i used to be so strong

your arms around me tight

everything it felt so right

unbreakable like nothing could go wrong

now i can't breathe

no i can't sleep

i'm barely hanging on

here i am

once again

i'm torn into pieces

can't deny it can't pretend

just thought you were the one

broken up deep inside

but you won't get to see the tears i cry

behind these hazel eyes

i told you everything

opened up and let you in

you made me feel alright

for once in my life

now all that's left of me

is what i pretend to be

so together but so broken up inside

cause i can't breath no i can't sleep

i'm barely hanging on

here i am

once again

i'm torn into pieces

can't deny it

can't pretend

just thought you were the one

broken up deep inside

but you won't get to see the tears i cry

behind these hazel eyes

swallow me then spit me out

for hating you, i blame myself

just seeing you it kills me now

no i don't cry

on the outside anymoreeeeee!

anymore

here i am

once again

i'm torn into pieces

can't deny it

can't pretend

just thought you were the one

open up deep inside

but you won't get to see the tears i cry

behind these hazel eyes

here i am

once again

i'm torn into pieces

can't deny it can't pretend

just thought you were the one

open up deep inside

though you want get to see the tears i cry

behind these hazel eyes

Phew! That was a workout! Kelly Clarkson won American Idol. She is so good!T his song is old! 2004! Does anyone know this song besides me and Analsia? Including you, Adimns.

I might know the tune if I hear it, but I don't pay much attention to lyrics. All that's been going thru my head recently is Fiiiiiiiire work. Is that by Katy Perry?

@Admin

Yep.

I should just let you all know that ~Blue Fairy~ can't spell, and that's why the lyrics are messed up.

Maybe you can help her proofread her work before she sends it.

@Analsia,

I was reading off of mom's breakaway CD book! I spelled everything right!

Admin,

That one was fine even though I am a bad speller.

@Analsia,

It's always a good idea to proofread your comment before submitting. I often correct spelling before posting comments, but it takes more time to do that. For example in this one you had Adimn. And the word I should always be capitalized. Cricket is a literary magazine and its Web site should display correct spelling and grammar. Thank.

This thread needs MOAR LOVE!

***

I think I was born this way. Other kids wanted to play cops and robbers... I only wanted to play cops.

It starts very early, once the baby toys are gone.

A kid on the playground has to choose which side he's on;

it's the bullies or the good guys, boy, there ain't no middle ground

though the hoodlums try to blur the line and twist the truth around,

and they call themselves a winner, but they're self-deceiving fools

'cause the game ain't worth winning if you're breaking all the rules.

The law is laid upon us when as kids we first ask "Why?"

our parents set the rules when "'Cause I said so!" they reply.

And though I thought I hated them and screamed with all my might,

the next time that I had a choice, gee whiz, I did what's right.

No I never snuck a drink, never stole a pack of Cool's.

'Cause the game ain't worth winning if you're breaking all the rules

(Don't break the rules)

Or else we're living in the wild, wild West;

(Don't break the rules)

God's keeping score, you don't wanna fail that test.

(Don't break the rules)

You thumb your nose right at the life for which I strive,
but those rules, those laws keep us alive.

Well, it started back with Moses when he led around the Jews
and climbed way up that mountain to bring back God's daily news.
He schlepped up old Mount Sinai, cried and begged on their behalf;
he almost dropped those golden tablets when he saw that golden calf.
Now we teach the ten commandments every Sunday in our schools,
'cause the game ain't worth winning if you're breaking all the rules

I guess the Constitution, boys, to some is too complex;

they think our founding fathers fought so they could forge some checks?!

They see themselves as Robin Hood, stealing from the rich,

paying back the things they take, well payback is a [censored].

'Cause the world ain't Sherwood Forest, you can't give away those jewels,

and the game ain't worth winning if you're breaking all the rules!

(Don't break the rules)

Or else we're living in the wild, wild West;

(Don't break the rules)

God's keeping score, you don't wanna fail that test.

(Don't break the rules)

You thumb your nose right at the life for which I strive,

But those rules, those laws keep us alive.

When you steal somebody's money, hurt his daughter or his wife,

you don't think of repercussions as you tap dance through your life!

Though you smile like you're a hero, you're an outlaw through and through!

But the odds are in my favor, and one day I'll catch you!

So go sneak into a movie, run a red light, sell some pot;

it's all the same to me, you're either guilty or you're not!

If we all did what we wanted every time we felt the urge,

the world would be total chaos; it's already on the verge.

Yes it's laws that keep us human, 'cause without them winners lose,

and the game ain't worth winning if we're breaking all the rules!

(Don't break the rules)

Or else we're living in the wild, wild West;

(Don't break the rules)

God's keeping score, you don't wanna fail that test.

(Don't break the rules)

You thumb your nose right at the life for which I strive,

but those rules, those laws keep us alive!

ZOMG. This thread did survive without my constant postings of the stereotypical angsty teen pop-rock that I'm so amused by. *_*
And now, to fill the awkward silence that has broken, here is Stewie's song.
You got your G chord right here
It’s like your cozy house where ya live
It's where you start your journey
Here I am in my house nice and cozy
Then you poke your head out the door with a C chord
Yea, everything looks okay out here
Maybe I’ll take a walk outside
To the D chord, Oh, walking ‘round outside
Look at all the stuff out here
And then we go to an A minor
Gettin’ a little cloudy out here
Lookin’ like we might have some weather
Then we go to E minor, Oh, definitely got some weather
Things are a little more complicated than they seemed at first,
And then we go back to my house!
Brian: “You sound like an unbelievable ******"
Then Brian comes in, and I change up the tempo
Brian comes in and he changes the song
Lookin’ at me like he thinks I’m a ****** ***
But he’s gonna learn pretty fast that he’s wrong
Hey Brian, why are you bringin’ me down man?
Why are you bringin’ me down?
DON’T BRING ME DOWN!

Life inside the music box ain't easy.
The mallets hit the gears are always turning,
and everyone inside the mechanism is yearning to get out.
And sing another melody completely.
So different from the one they're always singing.
I close my eyes and think that i have found me,
but then I feel mortality surround me.
I want to sing another melody.
so different from the one I always sing.
But when I do the dishes

I run the water very, very, very hot.
And then I fill the sink to the top with bubbles of soap
And then I send all the bottle caps I own a float
And its the greatest voyage in the history of plastic
And then I slip my hands in and start to make waves
And then I dip my tongue in and take a taste
It tastes like soap but it doesn't really taste like soap
and then I lower in my whole mouth in and take a gulp

And start to feel mortality surround me
I close my eyes and think I've found me
but life inside the music box ain't easy
the mallets hit the gears are always turning
and everyone inside the mechanism
is yearning, to get out
and sing another melody completely
is yearning, to get out
is yearning, to get out
is yearning, to get out

Shelter in the Rain by Stevie Wonder. <3<3<3

When the lights are down and the stage is bare,

And no more magic's in the air.

There's not a friend in sight to care,

Your tears no one will share,

I'll be your comfort through your pain,

And I'll be your shelter in the rain.

When your sad is bad and your bad is worse,

And there's no who to turn to first.

When you've done everything you can,

No one's there to take your hand,

I'll be your comfort through your pain,

And I'll be your shelter in the rain.

When you've looked around,

You haven't seen me anywhere,

But when you were down,

I lifted you up from there,

There isn't a thing

You can ask of me I won't do,

Just you put your trust in me,

My love will see you through!

When the final candle's flickered out,

"Why me" is all you can think about,

When all your joy has disappeared,

Your future isn't clear,

I'll be your comfort through your pain,

And I'll be your shelter in the rain.

When all the odds say there's no chance,

Amidst the final dance,

I'll be your comfort through your pain,

And I'll be your shelter in the rain.

Yes, I'll be your comfort through your pain,

And I'll be your shelter in the rain.

Rain.

Rain.

Be your shelter,

Be your shelter,

Be your shelter,

In the rain.

LIVE, thread! I command you!

o0O0o

I need to know

the nature of the demons that possess Man's soul!

I need to know

why man's content to let them make him less than whole.

Why does he revel in murder and madness?

What is it makes him be less than he should?

Why is he doomed not to reach his potential?

His soul is black when he turns his back upon good.

I need to find

a way to get inside the tortured mind of man.

I need to try

to separate the good and evil if I can.

One thing is certain; the evil is stronger

good fights a hopeless and desperate fight.

I must find ways of adjusting the balance

to bring man back from the empty black edge of night!

I need to go

where no man has ventured before!

To search for the key to the door

to end all this senseless and tragic decay!

But how to go? I need to know!

I need to learn

the secrets of the mind we cannot disern!

I need to learn

the things that make men pass the point of no return!

Why does a wise man take leave of his senses?

Where is that fine line where sanity melts

When does intelligence give way to madness?

A moment comes when a man becomes something else...

I need to know

why man plays this strange double game!

His hand always close to the flame!

It's a deal with the Devil he cannot disclaim!

But what's his aim? I need to know!

Dear God, guide me...

Show me how to succeeed!

With your wisdom inside me,

Henry Jekyll will follow wherever you lead!

I need to see

the truth other men cannot see!

To be things that others can't be!

Give me the courage to go where no angel will go!

And I will go! I need to know!

YAAAAAY! Been waiting for one of these for a LONG time!!!

Anyway-

You can't believe the history's real
Come with me to the firelands
You make me feel
The risk of the night
Stay with me in the firelands

Can you tell me
If you love me
Do you light fairies along the sky
Can you give me
Storms and sunshines
Stay with me in the firelands

You make me feel
My history's real
Stay with me in the firelands
You can't believe the risk of the night
Come with me to the firelands

Can you tell me
If you love me
Do you light fairies along the skies?
Can you give me
Storms and sunshines
Stay with me in the firelands

Firelands by Tracy Hewat

Walking all the day, near tall towers
Where falcons build their nests
Siver winged they fly,
They know the call of freedom in their breasts
Saw black head against the sky
With twisted rocks that run down to the sea
Living on your western shore,
Saw summer sunsets, asked for more
I stood by your Atlantic sea
And sang a song for Ireland

Talking all the day with true friends
Who try to make you stay
Telling jokes and news,
Singing songs to pass the night away
Watched the galway salmon run
Like silver dancing darting in the sun
Living on your western shore
Saw summer sunsets, asked for more
I stood by your Atlantic sea
And sang a song for Ireland

Drinking all the day in old pubs
Where fiddlers love to play
Someone touched the bow,
He played a reel
It seemed so fine and gay
Stood on Dingle Beach
And cast in wild foam we found Atlantic bass
Living on your western shore,
Saw summer sunsets asked for more
I stood by your Atlantic sea
And sang a song for Ireland

Dreaming in the night I saw a land
Where no man had to fight
Waking in your dawn
I saw you crying in the morning light
Lying where the falcons fly,
They twist and turn all in you e'er blue sky
Living on your western shore,
Saw summer sunsets asked for more
I stood by your Atlantic sea
And sang a song for Ireland

I've been on a Little Mermaid Broadway/Selena Gomez When The Sun Goes Down/ Muppets' Green Album kick for a while, so I will post *cue dramatic music*

Positoovity (from The Little Mermaid Broadway musical) by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater... well the beginning, anyway.

I'm typing this as I listen to it, so bear with me.

Spoken: What's this? You givin' up so soon? You gotta have a little gumption, yeah, a can-do kinda attitude.  Take it from a gull who knows.

Now look at me, you see this face?

In terms of beauty I'm a basket case.

And as for style and savoir faire (sp?),

Well, I guess there ain't a whole lot there.

Although, perhaps it makes no sense,

I strut my stuff with lots of confidence.

Though I lack,

An awful lot,

There is one thing I've got.

I've got positoovity.

I got positoovity.

It give me the zam, and the zow, and the addle-addle-addle.

That's why I walk with a wiggle in my waddle.

'Cuz once you hear that word,

There ain't nothin' you can't do.

So let thatpositoovity work for you.

Spoken: Positoovity? Why, there's no such word.

Of course there is; it's in the dictionary, right between popsicle and prehysterical.
