YAYY!!! Okay, yeah, let's just keep it about about 18 charries, because then only about 7 or 8 people have to join, if we have 2 charries each (or just  one, I can't do math... xD) Yes, because a majority of people die at the Corn. I'll post more later, let's just get the background stories with the districtiis down first, then we start with Arena :) :) I'M SOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I start this?

//Jonatte//

I lazily rested on my back in the clear ocean water. Someone was calling my name from the shore, "Jonatte! Jonatte! Jo, come here!" I looked up, treading water, and saw my best friend Elicta. She was wearing a deep blue dress, and holding my green one up in the air. I forgot, it was the Reaping today. Diving into the water, I pushed the water away and swam up to the shore, reaching it in a matter of seconds. "You're getting pretty good at this, eh girl?" I laughed, it was obvious that Eli was the best swimmer in our part of the district. Grabbing my clothes from a nearby rock, I put on a loose white shirt and some green shorts. Slinging my haul from the day over my shouldar, I followed Eli up the shore and past a grouping of banana trees, in which a lot of the fishermen had their huts. Walking up to my own hut, I opened the door and crossed the threshold. My dad was in the kitchen area, cooking up a fish. The Peacekeepers allows us to keep one fish from our catch. I dropped my catch bag and sat down at our table. "Water's great today, da." "Heh?, great, great. Take Jimetri out after the Reaping, will you?" "Yeah, I will." Jimetri was my older brother. Well, not literally. He's one of the victors, he wandered into our hut because he became crazy after he won, and after they tried to have him be a mentor, but he just led the tributes to their death. So he became my big brother. He wandered out of his room, only in shorts. "Jo? Eli?" "Hey big boy! How's it going?" He nodded his head, excitedly smiling. Eli went to get him some water, and I stayed and chatted with him. No one wanted to tell him that this was the Reaping, if he knew he would go into a fit. I told him to put a shirt on, and he laughed and walked back into his room. Dad and I exchanged a look, and I walked into my own room to get ready. I bathed, curled my hair, and pulled on my green dress. Walking out into the kitchen, I realized that Eli had walked next door to her own hut and did the same, and the two of us walked towards the square.

Bellatrinto Experenzo was digging her hand into the glass ball, searching for the right peice of paper. She reached it out, and exclaimed, "Ooh! I like this name! Jonatte Melope!" And I practically fainted.

//Menola//

I climbed down from the orange tree, afraid of ruining my sunset orange dress. The Reaping would start in only thirty minutes, and my mom wanted me to be in the square early. I wandered through the already forming crowd, and the representative, Menkenna Altery was already there, obviously hoping to get this over with. She reached into the girls glass as usuall, and pulled out a name. An unusual hush came upon the crowd, and she yelled out the name. "Menola Alecto! Menola?!" I walked like a zombie up to the stage, to recieve an unusual pat on the shouldar from the Mayor. Everyone hated it when a 12 got chosen, but mostly we hated it. Though there were no volunteers.

All I could write! Sorry!

Kilian-

The cool water engulfs my whole body as I jump in. I open my eyes and look for fish in the clear blue water.

There! Something flitted past me. I slowly turn. I can still see the shimmering tail flipping back and forth. He isn’t a large fish but will be okay. Mom would kill me if I came back home late.

Before the fish notices, I throw my net over his little body and stab him with my trident. Blood trickles from the creature's body, but I am already taking the dead fish out of the net and swimming back to shore.

I had thirty minutes until the Reaping but Mom liked to make sure that I looked perfect on days like these.

“You smell like sea water,” she’d tell me sharply when I came in after a good catch. I’d ignore the usual comment and set the dinner on the table. She’d then begin to bustle about, skinning the fish.

I walked up on the shore and shook my hair, trying to get rid of the drops of water.

I hated that Mom had insisted that I cut my hair for the Reaping.

“Is there really any point?” I’d asked.

“You look like a mop, otherwise.”

“Maybe I like looking like a mop.” At least Monique Cullens seemed to. She always commented on my “beautiful mop of hair”. Oh, Monique. She was so amazing.

I turned my thoughts back to the house. I rushed back and set the bloody fish on the table.

“What do you think you’re doing, young man?” Mom stood behind me, her hands on her hips. A strand of gray hair fell into her face.

“Putting the fish on the table?”

“He’s dripping blood on my kitchen floor. Put him in the bucket.” I threw him in the bucket and rolled my eyes.

“And don’t you roll your eyes at me, Kilian O’Dell.” Sometime I thought Mom had eyes in the back of her head.

Oh by the way, Luxuria definitely dies, probably the first Career to do so. Not sure about Thanskyder or Fortis. And Luxuria's 16, but it didn't fit in the age box.

Olive: We think alike! I just noticed that. I'm currently writing (counts...1,2,3,4) books/stories right now, and in one of them there's a guy named Verdomin, called Dom. In another one, there's a girl named Myla.

Thanskyder Talorian

I didn't wear a suit to the Reaping. I didn't wear nice clothes. I didn't have bad clothes. I had regular clothes, and training clothes, which were dirty and streaked with blood. I wore regular clothes. There was no point in getting rid of the nice clothes, which I would have to do when I got to the Capitol. There were no eighteen year olds with dibs on this years reaping. When we the volunteers sat down to decide who would go, they would let me. Because I have District 7 to kill. And besides, they can always go next year. It was a party during the second Quarter Quell came, and twice as many got to go. So lucky, and such an amazing arena.

I waited with the fourteen year old boys. Most were bored, eager to go home. In District 2, if you don't want to go, you don't. There's always plenty of volunteers.

The girls went first. "Anise Chicory." the lady said. It was a thirteen year old. She walked up to the stage. I could already see the girls getting ready to shout. But not this time. "I accept," Anise Chicory said, and I looked at her again. Short, skinny, but strong. And the way she held herself... bloodthirsty.

A name was drawn from the bowl. Didn't matter who. "I volunteer," I shouted, before anyone else could. They didn't volunteer. But they whispered. Thanskyder Talorian, they whispered, the dead Windeelisa's brother.

And the Games have begun. Every movement I make, every expression, every word I say, is now just a game. A game for sponsers, revenge, glory, entertainment, and blood.

Oh, the blood.

Spammy says tcca. Tecca? I'm not making another character Spammy. Four won't fit in the name box.

OK, I can't write anything right now, but I wanted to add something. We also have to have our tokens. Jo's is a gold chain, with a blue fish on the end, and Menola's is black leather (REALLY rare in 11, leather) with a whiteish square, and a black oak tree in it.

@SC: WHOA! That's cool. I got the name Myli from Mylo Xyloto (Coldplay album... was lacking orginality) and I just like the name Dom. :)

Oh, and I don't like writing in first-person so...

Anise Chicory watched as Kyder Talorian volunteered. She recognized him. He was the one who had a bone to pick with District 7, the one with the dead sister. He was also a rather good fighter. She'd have to watch him carefully.

"Our two tributes!" the escort- Delia (feel free to change the name) announced chirpily. Anise allowed herself only a small smile but already she was thinking of how proud her family would be if- no, when- she comes home as the victor. Forget about Talorian- she'd let someone else kill him. She'd rather not have to end the life of someone from her own district anyway, no matter what was going on.

Peacekeepers were quickly summoned after the playing of the Capitol anthem and Anise was lead into a large room in the Justice Building. She sat down on one of the plush couches, nervously smoothing out her red dress.

Blood is red...

Anise's parents came in with Sage and her father gave her a small lecture.

"We'll see you once you win the Games," he said pointedly after finishing his little spiel. Anise's mum nodded at her- she was never one to talk unless absolutely necessary, which was odd considering that she was a teacher. And Sage promised to take care of Sorrel, Anise's goat. Once they left, some of Anise's friends came then went.

When Anise was finally led out of the Justice Building and into a train, she was rather anxious to see the Capitol. She couldn't read Talorian's face however, but Delia was grinning from ear to ear, going on and on about how she got not one but two excellent Tributes but how could she expect anything better from District 2?

She noticed the mentor- Myli Di- but she was rather quiet and also a little pale; there were rumours that she was being weaned off her morphling. She was sucking on a peppermint.

All for now. Am to lazy to go back and check. ;)

I fingered my small necklace, thinking out strategies on how to kill Kili. Well, of course, he could be my ally. We'll have to talk about that. Suddenly, he turned towards me. "Look, Jo. I've seen you around school, and you seem like a nice kid. I'll leave your killing to someone else." And he turned around. Lovely, right? Honestly, I couldn't wait to kill him right now. Then a drunken looking man hobbled into our little cart. The surpervisor exclaimed, "Jo, Kili, this is Elandor, your mentor." He waved his hand absentmindedly, "Be nice everyone!" she said as she left, which wasn't the best idea seeing the state Elandor was in. "Look ladies," this made Kili bristle with anger, "I'm here to, to help you all. Now, my advice is...my advice is," the next few words were inaudible, seeing that he collapsed when the train lurched to a stop. Grabbing my knife and keeping it at the ready, I dragged him over to the corner, which was quite difficult, if you realize how much weight he had gained since his Games. Gesturing for Kili to follow, I jumped train cars and into the television car, where we spent most of our time watching the past games and the other Reapings. So far the Careers from 1 and 2 were our main threat. A 12 year old from 11, along with an older kid who looked as if he could smash heads together. Some assorted kids who looked useless from 4 and 6. No one really spectacular this year. Running my fingers over the smooth metal of the fish necklace, my heart longed for the water. I'm ready for the Games, just not ready to die.

When I said "Coldplay album... was lacking originality" I meant I was lacking originality, not Coldplay! ...just thought to get that out there. :P Anyways! (oh, and as far as I know, no one else is from district 3 so I'm going to use my head!canon)

And... I'm making another charrie.

Name: Dessa Kir

Age: 13, turning 14 soon

Gender: Girl

District: 3

Appearance: A bit short, slender, glossy brown hair with bangs and brown eyes, pretty.

Personality: Friendly, easily scared, sensitive, not very brave.

Family: Mum, dad, older brother.

Skills: Fast runner, knows how to operate electric stuff, making traps.

Extra: Dom's lurvey interest.

Dom Ashner didn't like District 3. District 3 was an ugly place. It actually had smog and the apartment buildings were cramped together and old, never mind the rooms.

The town square was the worst however. It was mostly just an undeveloped plot of land surrounded by some of the largest factories. Albeit there was a stage and it was pretty well-made, but that was the only good thing about the place.

Dom made his way through the throng of people to go to the designated spot for the fourteen-year-olds. He couldn't see his two friends, Metopolis and Samantha (the rebellious little child's parents had some old books from before the war, passed down from ancestors) but that didn't matter, he'd see them later. After all, he only had his dad- his mum had died from hunger recently and his sister had died a few days after she was born- so he'd only needed to enter five slips. The odds were in his favour of not getting chosen.

How wrong he was.

The anthem played, then the mayor read the history of Panem. Finally, the grotesque-looking escort, Issa, pulled the first slip of paper from the glass ball and read the name written on it. Dom knew the girl. She worked beside him, near the conveyer belt, and always laughed at his jokes. She was a rather pretty thing, even now, silent but with tears streaming down her face. She was shaking as she stopped next to Issa. No one volunteered. The escort pulled out the next paper.

"Dom Ashner."

He paled. He'd entered only five slips. No, surely he must have misheard.

"Dom Ashner!" Issa said sing-songedly, but she was obviously exasperated. Dom still didn't move. "Dom Ashner!" the escort snapped. "Get up here or I'll have you shot!"

Someone gave Dom a light push and before he knew it, he was standing next to Dessa, the girl Tribute.

"Your Tributes," Issa said coldly, a smile still plastered on her face.

Only three people came to see Dom. His father who just hugged him silently before leaving, then Metopolis and Samantha.

"Win for us, kay?" Samantha said, dry-eyed.

"And if not for us, for that Dessa girl," Metopolis added, smiling a goofy grin. His eyes were anything but jolly though, and Samantha scowled at the mention of Dessa.

The Peacekeepers soon came and led him onto the train. Issa made him and Dessa sit next to each other.

"Dom," Dessa whispered suddenly. Issa had left- no doubt to fix her makeup- and the two were the only ones in the compartment. Dom looked at her and she held out a small lightbulb, about the size of Dom's thumbnail. "Here. I already have a token." Dessa held up a copper ribbon, made out of electric wires no doubt. She smiled as Dom reached out to talk the bulb.

"Thanks," he muttered.

"No problem," Dessa said. At that moment, Issa came back. The rest of the train ride was silent.

*

Dessa had been visited by her family. They didn't stay long. Then came her friend Puit and her mum. They were the ones to give her the tokens.

Dessa didn't know why she gave the lightbulb to Dom. Maybe it was because she wanted to pay him in advance for making sure her body would go back home in one piece, or maybe she just genuinely liked him and his jokes.

Whatever the reason, Dessa knew she couldn't kill him.

"Luxuria Salman! What a pretty name! And such a pretty little thing she is too!"

And I didn't even have to volunteer. That's beyond ridiculous.

I walked up to the stage and glared. No one dared to even begin to open their mouths. I was going. And I was going there to win.

I glared. And didn't bother listening for the boys name. But I heard it anyway. Krisitrian Mastoff. Didn't know him. But I might want to. It would be me him, the tributes from 2 and 4 in the pack. And then I would be the first to defect, while I was on watch, and kill them in their sleep, and finally hunt down the few remaining weaklings. And then I would come home, and everybody would love me.

My mother and father just smiled at me. They knew I was going to win, and at all costs. I smiled back.

We were on the train, watching the other reapings. Oooh, a tough bunch this year. Two good ones from 2. But the boy was only 14. "Here to avenge the death of his sister." Ooh. A quiet boy from 3. Two strong ones from 4. Two little twins from 5. A strong girl and a freakishly tall and strong boy from 7. A tiny girl and enormous boy from 11.

But I would kill all of them.

And I would come home, and everybody would scream my name and they would all love me.

--------------

I'm not sure if I made it clear, but Luxuria is a bit insane.

(d)=DIES, at Cornupocia or later. So... winner must be Kyder, Kilian, Nit, Fortis, or Leo.
