I know 2 is the Unwanteds and 3 is The Westing Game (great book!!!).

I've never read them, (I really want to!) but from what I've heard and read about them I'd hazard a guess that 1 is Keeper of the Lost Cities?

5 sounds like a popular novel I'd heard of but never read as well, but I wouldn't know.

Is book 4 Diary from the Edge of the World? I never finished it, but I remember it was pretty good, and at some point when I was a smol bean I started writing a "book" just like it.

Book 5 is Murder on the Orient Express, I think? I must admit (inhales deeply) ihaven'treadthebookijustwatchedthemovie.

Yes, it's true, and I chide myself for it. But I'll read the book eventually.

I haven't done one of these in a while...

1. A girl wants to spend her summer at home in Lagoona Beach with her friends, but her parents drag her along to Vietnam to visit her family. She's surprised to find some friends and family history there.

2. When the main character's mother falls ill of the deadly mender's disease, the protagonist must embark on a dangerous journey to a magical island to save her. But the protagonist is only a weak little girl, and when dozens of men and boys have died on this quest, how can she possibly succeed?

3. During the day, the boy is a prince whose parents are determined to find him a wife. But at night, he dons beautiful dresses and leads a secret life with the help of his dressmaker.

Gah!!! I know the second, but I forget the title!! Something like The Sea In Winter, or maybe that's written by the same author. Or never mind. Not that book. But in the book, her father went on that trip, and he died. And she meets this creature thing that helps her? Grrr, come on, brain, think! You know this! When I remember the title, I'll come back.

Book #1

A young governess faces a daunting challenge as she discovers that her new pupils are — quite literally — wild.

Book #2

The sister of a famous author struggles with her art, her sister's fame, and her own identity in a historical fiction novel based on a real person.

Book #3

It's a classic: a young orphan girl, starved for love and companionship, comes to a new home, where she grows and develops into one of the most well-know heroines in children's literature.
