The Longest Thread

The Longest Thread EVER!!!!

Let's make a mission to make the longest thread in CaC EVER! I think we just need to get more than 144 posts right now. We'll need lots of different themes to talk about to keep this thread from dying, but I think we can do it, right? I mean, that's why this is called the CHATTERbox, isn't it? :-)  Okay, then. Ready? Set?

GO!!!

P.S. Let's try to do CaC first, and if we accomplish our goal, we can do other sections, okay? Good. Now let's get chatting!!!

My favorite words are pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, awkward, and gyroscope. Oh, and strenuous. My friends and I have a running joke about the word strenuous. It came from when we were walking up a hill at science camp, and we spent the whole time yelling, "Strenuous! Strenuous! Strenuous!" :) Does anyone else have a running joke from a really long time ago?

YIKES!!! WHAT does pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis mean??????  And our dictionary says that floccinaucinihilipilificatiousness was the longest word in the English language.. it looks so puny now.

  pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
Part of Speech:    n
Definition:    supposedly the longest word in a dictionary, an artificial word said to mean a lung disease caused by the inhalation of silica dust

How could I have forgotten that word?! It's one of my favorites. Well, I don't know anyone with it, so I've never had the opportunity to use it...

WOW.

submitted by Oregano, age 13, Inkwell? Oh no, CaC.

@ Oregano? Really? I can't imagine not being able to imagine using it--or any word, really. There are some words I floccinaucinihilipilificate, but I can imagine using them whether or not I would in real life. It's quite easy.

@ Elizabeth: Thanks!

@ Black Hole Lover: I can't see your comment yet, but I agree with your name!

When you go to college, would you want a roommate or would you want a room of your own?

Good question to think about, Oregano!

I would love my own room but having someone to be with sounds nice. But what if I didn't like the person?

My own room, unless the roommate was someone I knew REALLY well and loved like a family member. An immediate one, I mean, not just a cousin (mine aren't too close to me; we've little in common).

Um, well...I guess It would depend.....It would be nice to have my own room, but if the roommate was nice or something, I guess it would be fine.

New Question!!!!

So this is kind of a stupid/weird question, but what animal do you remind yourself the most of and why.

I think I am like a......um......zebra? because they are kind of like horses (and theoretically regular people are horses) but totally different and cool..So yeah, that's my confusing answer...

Hm... I don't know. I'm similar to a zebra in the same way as you, but I don't think my personality is similar to a zebra's. A prairie dog? No, they're too good at communicating. A meerkat? No... I think maybe a tortoise. No, a turtle. Yes, that. I'm slow and like water. Of course, tardigrada sum, but I certainly can't presume to have powers anything like theirs...
