The Longest Thread

The Longest Thread EVER!!!!

Let's make a mission to make the longest thread in CaC EVER! I think we just need to get more than 144 posts right now. We'll need lots of different themes to talk about to keep this thread from dying, but I think we can do it, right? I mean, that's why this is called the CHATTERbox, isn't it? :-)  Okay, then. Ready? Set?

GO!!!

P.S. Let's try to do CaC first, and if we accomplish our goal, we can do other sections, okay? Good. Now let's get chatting!!!

I'd rather have a roommate myself.  I like having someone I don't know totally intimately to talk to.  The idea of being totally alone in a room is kind of lonely and - call me a sissy if you will - a bit scary.  Though at least at the college I have intended myself for (since the age of eight.  Yes, I know) automatically gives you a roomate freshman year, and after that you enter a housing lottery and unless you're really unlucky you can choose.

Really? I'm completely the other way around. I'm perfectly fine on my own, but I get nervous when I have to talk to people I don't know.

Ummm...I think I'd like a room to myself, though I wouldn't mind sharing a room with someone, as long as they aren't messy and they don't stay up late or snore.Smile

I would be a little self-conscious about it but I would like it. I would like to matched up with someone who is like me, instead of someone that is totaly different from me. Sammt are you afraid of heights? I am.

@Claire S.:  Yes.  A bit.  Sometimes.  But then I've never been up that high.

@whoever asked this question:  Cat, maybe?  Unpredictable, attempting to be self-sufficient (and succeeding as far as I can try), likes to eat meat, has prominent ears.  Ha.  Ha.  Ha?

Hmmm... maybe a rat instead.  (Me, I mean.)  Small and sneaky. :P

Or an octopus.  Smartest of the dumb. :P

Or some little-known beetle thats name is only in Latin and nothing else. :P

Or a mouse.  The kind of thing that makes people stand on a cahir and scream.  :P

About the roommate question, I would rather have one than be alone. I get so bored and lonely when I'm alone, and I went to a summer camp once at UC Berkely and it was fun to have a roommate. As to what animal I'm like, I can't really think of anything but a human. My favorite animal is a monkey, though.

What kind of homeschooling do you do?  Do you do it on your own or as part of homeschooling groups?  Have you always been homeschooled?

What's homeschooling like?

Lonely.  Try "sitting at home all day translating Latin with no friends your age."  Try "canned soup for lunch with cold cuts and frozen spinach."  Try "pointed remarks about subjects completely exhausted."
