Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Should I start fangirling about Thor and Captain America both...at the same time? Should I post less on this thread? Um.

I was introduced to Gilmore Girls, Indigo Girls, and S'mores Frappuccino all in one night. Let me tell ya, that was some life right there.

JAAAAAAAAAAANE DUMPED THOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR

Hey guys, I watched Thor: Ragnarok! But I didn't see Thor wearing any hoodies at all in it (although he was rocking this one jacket for a short bit....) and I don't love his new haircut.

I've also seen Doctor Strange and Spider-Man: Far From Home both, and I actually want to talk about all three of these movies and I think I'm going to make an MCU thread for that, because I feel like this Random Thoughts/Things thread is taking the place of me making other threads to talk about stuff, and I don't think I'm using this thread in quite the right way. But I'm going to do that later, because I don't have a lot of time now. But in the meantime, can we just mourn the loss of the Thor+Jane ship? They were so great together. *Wails*

There maybe almost no situations in which being able to play a gavotte is useful today, but boy, let me tell you, my friends and I would have been so helpful two or three centuries ago.

I LITERALLY JUST MADE A HECKING CAPTAIN AMERICA SHIELD

Look what Leafy hath wrought! I took a bunch of pictures and none of them are perfect, but the lighting in this one's slightly better than the others. It's still hard to tell though--the silver is shiny. Also, the shield is flat, even though it looks curved.

BUT I MADE A CAPTAIN AMERICA SHIELD.

XD Thanks friends! (Steeeeeeve Rodgeeeeerrrrrrrrsssssss)

Oh, and I have the large-ish rectangle of foam board (kind of like cardboard) that this was cut out from--so I have some more scraps of this stuff, and I was wondering what other Marvel superhero accessories I could make? Because I have some medium/small pieces. (I was wondering if I could cut out some rectangles and glue them all on top of each other to make a 3-d rectangle block thing as part of Thor's hammer? But maybe not.) Does anyone have ideas?

(BTW, I can't take credit for cutting out that perfect circle. My mom did that, before I took over the project and sketched+painted the design. This is for my little brother, who wanted a Cap shield. [He's now running around with it and pretending he's in a battle XD])

I'm not entirely unconvinced that you and your mom don't have good-circle painting/making powers. How did you paint the rings so well?!

Oh, my mom did a bunch of measuring to get the circle, and then I measured out sizes for the rings and circle that looked right--I think each ring is one and three quarters of an inch across? And I think the circle is three ring widths across. Then I found a mixing bowl that was exactly the right circumference to go around the second ring, so I traced that and for the others, I just measured into the circle to find where the edges of the circles would go to be the right lengths away from each other and made bunch of little marks, and then connected them by sketching the rest of the circle. And I cheated and traced the star; I suck at drawing five-pointed ones. I tell you, though, painting in the lines was hard.

I just got back from seeing Far From Home, and gah it was amazing. No spoilers but THE ENDINGGGG— I'm not that invested Marvel except for Tom Hol— Uh, I mean Spiderman, but now I can't wait for the next one ToT
