I was reading through some of the CB Confessions on the old thread, and I noticed people saying things that really resonated with me - that they didn’t connect with a lot of CBers, that they didn’t have close friends here, that they never had a chance to just chat.
And so I decided to make this thread.
The goal is for CBers to engage in lighthearted, not-just-to-advance-a-story, as-if-we’re-sitting-around-a-lunch-table chatting. It’s like an AE chat thread, but with CBers. That’s it. No rules, no nothing. (Although I will ask, on behalf of all the CBers out there that feel overlooked, that we try to reply to everyone, not just our “friends.”)
Cool! So, how’s everyone doing today? I’m feeling a bit bored, because it’s a weekend and I have no work to do, but that’s also kinda nice. How about you?
It's sunny here for the first time in weeks, and I'm about to take a walk outside, so I'm feeling good! This morning's sunrise made me realize how much I'd missed the sun!

As a person who loves improv and theatre in general, I'm here to reassure you that it gets easier with practice. I have a few tips for you as well.
1. Don't contradict something that your improv partner says.
Example-
Person 1: What is that cat doing on the toilet?
Person 2: That's not a cat! That's an orange!
This might be funny for a second, but Person 1 will most likely end up saying something like "Oh, ok..." and then drift into an awkward silence. They might have had a plan for where they were going to take this, and Person 2 has just thrown it out the window. Of course, if this is the case, Person 1 might also retaliate with "No, it's definetly a cat!" which might lead to an improv argument.
2. The left field is a nice place to visit, but not a great place to stay. In other words, being ridiculous gets great laughs, but if you don't make any sense at all for an extended period of time, you'll lose your audience.
3. The funny will come, just go with the flow. You shouldn't try too hard to be funny.

<3 Thanks for your help everyone. The first meeting was yesterday. It went fine. I'm not very good at improv acting, but then, I didn't do very much, and I've only just started, so I don't mind.

My schedule is about to explode. I had a nice off season in the winter, but I'm back at it again with two soccer teams (school and club), band, drama club, yearbook club, and on top of all that, school! So the rest of my Februaury is going to be spent trying to find time to breathe.

Question: Does anyone know where Bagel Princess went? Haven't seen her in AGGEES.
Also does anyone else feel like Chatterbox is a special thing just for us CBers? Like a secret cove or hideout? That's why I don't really want to tell my friends to check it out. It's like a secret club!!

I don't know where Bagel Princess is. I hope she's just taking a short break. She's a very nice CBer.
I actually have invited a few of my friends to join the CB. Only one really did, and that's Autumn Artist.
