Pretty much what the title says. Introduce yourself - favorite fandoms, colors, animals, characters, weird stories, AEs, anything you want. Find things you have in common with other people. Have fun.

I'll go once it shows up.

Ooooo I wanna do this

Okay so! I've been on the CB since last April so about 10 months.

*sees weird stories on list*

So this one time, I went to New York. My cousins live over there in Albany, and it was spring break for us here in CA so it was very cold. Anyways, this one day we went up to their grandparents' house. They own like two acres of land or something so it was a house and then a giant field with trees. Anyways- we found out they had... well you know those cars for little kids? Now turn THAT into like one of those for... adults. There was no roof and no windows. My dad drove my sister, my cousin, and I around for a bit but I was over it.  I  wanted to drive. I begged my dad and he eventually said yes. So I did! I drove at full speed, maneuvering around trees. It was awesome. When we got off, dad was proud of me. He told my cousin's dad about how good I was. But he said that only 13+ year olds were aloud to drive, and we'd be in trouble if we told the grandparents. So we went in for dinner kinda nervous hoping they didn't see us. We were all good though.

So the same trip I went to New York, I went to New York City. One night my cousin I had never met (I have a lot of cousins in New York) wanted to meet us in Brooklyn. Of course, I was the most adventurous (still am) in my family, so I went. I'd never been on a subway. So everything was normal and we got on and... I LOVED IT. It was rush hour or whatever they call it so there was basically the whole world on that subway and I loved it. All the interesting people doing weird things were... cool to me. ANYWAYS we got off because we had to take a different subway now so we did. But when we got off that subway we realized... we had no idea where we were. That day I went on so many subways that I memorized my mom's PIN number. And had to use it on my own multiple times. That was the most chaotic hour of my life.

if there was a thread just for weird stories, I'd LIVE there. I've always wanted to be like TheOdd1sOut and tell weird stories for a living. Those stories are just ones off the top of my head. Enjoy...?

WHY NOT ._.

I'm Writing_in_the_Dark, AKA Writing (Yes, I am aware my name is outragessly long and sounds like a username but I've become conected to it, so no changing it now lol) I'm 12 years old, and from New York (no, not the city). I use they/xe pronouns... And I run the MCU as The Doodle Society every other month!

*doesn't know what to say* Uh, my fandoms are many and I'm obbsessed with all of them; The Riordanverse, Encanto, Steven Universe, the DSMP, The Owl House, Amphibia... Probably a lot more but I can't think of any :) Also, if you haven't noticed, I am a tad bit obbsessed with animation; I want to work as a Storyboard artist or run my own TV show someday!

And look at that! An excuse to talk about my AEs. I'LL TAKE IT :D

We've gottttt~

Aliza (she/her) Basicly me when I was younger but angry.... so kinda like my IRL sibling! But more focused and mature!!!

>Dawn (ae/aer)< my introverted side with a large dose of anxiety!!

#Tempest (he/they)# honestly, I don't even know. At first he was my extroverted side... now? He is just... there ._.

-Cassidy (she/they)- she's my creativity!

Speaking of creativity, I love drawing and making stories! So. Many. Stories.

I don't know what else to say! :D So. Uh-

*ends comment awkwardly*

Okay.

*  Cracks knuckles of an utterly self indulgent writer who enjoys talking about themself more than anything else and get DOWN TO BUSINESS *

Hi, I'm lord Entropy and I just recently remembered I had ever been active here! After like, three years? Yeah. Three years, which you spent without having to listen to me. Your poor souls. I'm fixing this grievous mistake though, don't worry.

Okay, uh, favorite fandoms:

I dislike the idea of fandoms in general actually? They're kind of... Incredibly toxic? Usually. Not always. But yeah... The argument abides. So my favorite works of media which I try not to involve myself in are... Homestuck, Adventure Time, Steven universe, Twin Peaks, and some other stuff.

The best book I've ever read is Night by Elie Wiesel. But it is incredibly hard to force yourself to read due to its immensely heavy subject material. I have only read it once, and I will never read it again, because it gave me such a palpable sense of despair to read, and I can't put myself through that again.

My favorite book is either Coraline or anything by Otessa Moshfegh.

My favorite genre of anything is fantasy or science fiction.

My favorite color is vibrant pink. None of that faded pink jazz.

My favorite animal is a walrus.

Lin Manuel Miranda is the modern equivalent of Shakespeare. This isn't an opinion. It is a fact.

The Mountain Goats are my favorite band. Their lyricist/ singer,  John Danielle might also be the modern Shakespeare. They are objectively awesome.

I am a writer. Not a particularly good one, but I am improving. I am writing a book about a group of strange disaffected teenagers in the Pacific Northwest, fighting cryptids and waiting for the apocalypse. I am also a terrible artist, but that doesn't stop me. I am writing a sequel to my comic about a suburban wasteland 94 years after a nuclear fallout.

I seem to have an affinity for apocalyptic scenarios and strange people who use their strangeness as a coping mechanism. Its a recurring theme in my stories.

Maybe I should get that checked out.

I use any pronouns. Whatever. I think of myself in they\them terms but I wouldn't be upset if you use she/her or he/him pronouns. Gender is a societal construct anyway. It's useful, but its not for me.

You can call me man, or dude, or their dudeness or el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. I consider those gender neutral terms.

Most of that was a quote from the big Lebowski. Man, that was a funny movie.

It's also rated R. I'm sixteen, chances are you aren't so uh, don't... don't watch it yet.

Phew! Saved it.
