I was thinking,

Chatterbox: Inkwell

I was thinking,

I was thinking, we could start a new story chain. You make up a new character, but they CAN'T be from the 21st century (they'll wind up there later). They have to be related to someone famous but NOT an actor, actress, singer, etc.

Mine is: Dehlia Ludington.

Related to a heroine of the American Revolution: Sybil Ludington.

Lives in Fredericksburg NY, 1777

Suddenly transported to the 21st century.

Age: Unkown

Short length blonde hair, blue-gray eyes, exactly 5 feet, rather pale.

Personality: Quiet most of the time, yet speaks out passionately when its something she cares about, strong, dependable, loving.

Hope ya'll like my idea!

Ah, okay, I have a bit of time to write this, cause I've also been thinking how to write it. Also, who knew it could be so hard to get someone out of a blasted dinghy? Moving on.

Dehlia ~

I watched as Dora took off, time tears clasped in her hands. At that moment, someone grabbed me from behind, and yanked me inside, one hand clamped over my mouth, the other gripped tightly around my chest. I thrashed and yelled, in attempt to gain freedom, but to no avail. "Quiet!" the girl, Liz, hissed in my ear. I could see Errol being held down by several people. I could see Liz grinning cruely at us, and I was instantly afraid. What did these people want? And then it hit me to the point I nearly collapsed. They were like us. They wanted the time tears. I said a quick prayer of thanks that Dora had escaped with them. We were taken, me carried, Errol forced, into a large room full of different chairs, and old fashioned settees. And then things got even worse. Standing in the middle of the room was the we'd seen who tried to take the time tears. And my fear instantly worsened.

Great!But where is Fleix?

~Dora~

I ran down the alley and into the crowd, being careful to look out for things that I could think of as "marks". A lampost, a store, I took in the information as I ran.

About five minutes later, I turned into an alley. It was a bit dark, but the warm smell of baking bread came from one of the shops. Perhapse I could get things from the trash... I shuddered at the thought.

Next to the sweet-smelling building I found a space where the fence was farther back then the wall.I gathered some old brown thick paper boxes. With them and some wooden crates, I made a shelter.

Woops. I forgot about Felix! He's just there too, I suppose. Tied up like the rest of us. I guess Felix will just be our "there" character, to help as needed, until Quintus comes back. Which I have no idea where she (did we discover Quintus is a girl, I have trouble keeping up) is. QUINTUS COME BACK!!!

Cappie just sweared at me. No surprise.

Sorry! I have been SO monsterously busy! So, I'll write now!

Dehlia ~

Time seemed to stop. I felt a mixture of absolute terror, and anger, after what had happened to Elexhiia. My whole body was rigid, and my feet were rooted to the floor. How did we get into this? Please let Dora be all right! What'll we do now? These thoughts swirled through my head as we stood in silence. The boy stood there, evaluating us. He frowned slightly. "Where's the fourth?" he asked, his question directed at the girl who'd helped bring us here, Liz. "Ran off," she answered, her voice haughty. "But we got these three, so I didn't see any bother in going off after her." "Where are the time tears?" he asked, this time directed at me. I scowled and didn't answer. "Search them," he ordered. They did, but found nothing. I couldn't help but smirk slightly, and think on Dora's brilliance. "That girl that 'ran off' has the time tears, and you let her get away!" He shouted at Liz and the other two. "Well, Max, what did you expect?" Liz retorted. So his name is Max, I thought. "We were trying to bring four of 'em in!" Max started pacing the room. His look was dark, and grim. I was more afraid then ever, for both us and Dora. Please get away Dora!

So, I figured we should know his name by now, since it's kinda odd calling him "the boy". And what happens next? AND I STILL WELCOME L, SC, and QUINTUS TO WRITE!!!! S, True?

I've posted, but I'm not sure. I'll think about it.

I can't really do anything until one of you escapes. If we can get L or Quintus here, then we can have someone inside and outside.... say, where is L?I haven't seen her around lately.

Anyway, who should escape?You,Errol,or Fleix?

~Dora~

I spent the next day carefully patrolling the house of doom that I had escaped from. But no one came out, and no one went in.

I've been wondering where L was too. She was in my cabin during Nano, and was busy writing her novel. But I haven't heard from her since. I'm not sure. And I haven't the least idea where Quintus or SC are. They've both disappeared as well. I fear it's just you and me left. I'm thinking we'll wait a bit, I'll write from our captive view, but if they don't come back, I'll have Dehlia escape, and leave Errol and Felix there. We'll continue the adventure from there, but still leave room for them to come back. Thoughts? I'm going to add drama as well. I don't want it to get boring. ;) Oh, and I won't be upset which ever side you choose for the war, so don't feel pressured. We're simply doing it for fun!

Dehlia ~

I felt myself shaking mildly. Fear clenched me. Suddenly, a man walked in. He was different than the rest, and was evidently in charge, for everyone got quiet when he entered. He stood by Max, and looked us up and down. "Take those two," he gestured at Felix and Errol, "to a secure room. But leave her." I was shaking harder. He was evidently from the future, like Errol. Everyone but he and Max left the room. He walked by me, and asked simply, "Where are the tears?" "I don't know," I said, my voice shaking. He smirked, and touched my arm lightly. Hardly anything, but it was enough. I screamed in pain and crumpled to the floor. It was excuciating, and unlike anything I had ever felt before. It felt like a fire, creeping through my body. My vision blurred, and was tinged with red. I was aware of what this man could do, and now, I didn't try hide my fear now.

**********************************************************************

So dramatic, yes. But it needed some umph! So, I simply wrote what came to mind. If you like, you can write something dramatic for Dora as well. Top dear thread! Top!

I know, but I hope that Blue knows that. I'm teaming up with her for a collaborative writing, so...

But, good job with the writing! I do hope that L, SC, and Fliex will come back soon. Oh, and Tovah L.!  Remember she said that she didn't want her character to die after all, and got us started on the time tears idea?

~Dora~

I was sleeping at the shelter and eating stale bread now, wishing for Aunt Clara nowadays.

The next day, on my way to the building, I saw the girl, Liz, at a hot dog stand. She was talking loudly to the hot dog man. I got closer to hear her words.

"Are you sure you haven't seen her? I last saw her running away from me. Oh, my poor sister!" she cried.

Running away from her? She must be talking about me! My heart thumped loudly, as I inched my way away from the stand.

But the hot dog man caught sight of me. As he made the gesture, Liz turned to look. Her eyes lit up. "Thanks mister!" I heard her call, but I didn't see her. I had already turned away and started running.

Through alleys and streets I ran, in front of honking cars and bumping into people.

Soon, I was pretty sure that I had lost her, but something was still wrong. I was lost in the city.

Sorry! I have been RIDICULOUSLY busy!

Dehlia ~

I awoke in dark, dusted-covered room. Drab curtains covered a dirt smeared window. I was lying on a tarp-covered sofa. Other various articles of furniture were pushed against the wall. Little light came through the window, and the only other light source was the crack beneath the door. I tried opening it, but it was locked, as I had expected. I went over to the window. A tree grew close beside, otherwise, the area was deserted. I tried pulling up the window. It was rusted shut. I looked around for something to pry it open with. Finally, after some pulling, and a great deal of temptation to use some of the words I'd heard the local boys use, I managed to pull down the metal rod holding up the curtains. I pushed it into the small crack under the window, and heaved. At first, nothing happened, but slowly, surely, the window began to inch up. I gave one, final, desperate push, and the window shot up. I stood still a moment, listening... Nothing. Gingerly, I swung one leg out the window. Then, leaning my body weight onto the window sill, I lifted my other leg out, and slowly lowered myself, till I was dangling. Letting go with one hand, I reached out to a nearby branch. Grasping it, I let go of the sill, swinging over to the branch. After that, it was merely a matter of climbing down. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I bolted. My first and foremost priority was getting away from there. Second, I had to find Dora.

**********************************************************************

So, I have freed Dehlia! Still leaving room for Felix and Errol to return.
