So this RP is going on Rick R's mythology novels. Your character can either live at Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, or Brooklyn House, KC being in existence alongside PJ/HoO, or anywhere else in the Riordan worlds. They can be a god, demigod, magician, mortal, whoever. We'll decide what time era to set this in. My charrie:

Species: Demigod
Godly parent: Apollo
Appearance: Messy hair, naturally blonde, but he dyes it green. Skinny and athletic. Wears novelty T-shirts and cargo shorts.
Personality: Impulsive, but very bright. Is always very loyal to friends. Has a crush on another camper (I'll choose someone else's character as the target).
Pasttimes: Archery, basketball, capture the flag, reading the Alex Rider books
Dominant hand: Left. Just like me...

@BHR: Nice one! Seems like we got our first monster for the heroes! Sorry for the delay, but I was wrapped up in such and such... and Not Back to School Camp kinda derailed my progress on this back in September...
Here I go.

We walked through the forest. It was boring. Night fell, and we began to set up camp. I regretted not bringing a book. Very, very bored, I struck up a conversation with a dandelion.
Then something growled. We stopped in our tracks. "What. Was. That?" hissed Renee. I couldn't believe I was thinking this, but the way Renee talked when she was panicked was cute. Everything she did was cute. The way she walked, the way her hair flowed across her shoulders, the way she blinked, the way her feet fit into her shoes...
Sorry for boring you to death, whoever person was unfortunate enough to stumble across the documentation of this tiring and tedious adventure.
Anyways, I drew my bow. "Why are you holding your weapon with the wrong hand?" Avril asked me. "I'm left-handed," I told her. "Deal with it."
The monster leaped out of the bushes. It was the minotaur! We ran away fast. We had no idea how to fight a minotaur. At least I didn't.
Sorry, did I say we ran away fast? In my dreams. Only I ran. Everyone else stood their ground. I noted I was the only boy on this quest. Guess girls are braver than boys.
"Come back here!" shouted the two girls who happened to be my quest partners. Avril chased me, while Renee began working on something. After a moment of running, Avril crashed into me. We rolled down a long hill and landed at the foot of it. Avril held me tight. I pretended to struggle, but really I didn't mind.
After a mo, I heard a big explosion and then Renee ran into us. "There you are!" she said. Avril let me go. I stared at her... uh... yeah. Anyway, Renee looked pretty annoyed. "Stupid bull-doofus!" she said. We heard a roar. "What did you do?" I asked.
Renee grinned. "Celestial bronze-coated dynamite launched straight into his throat. Trademark weapon of a punk Cabin Nine girl. Easy-peezy. I have a bunch of those things in my bag." I frowned. "No one else heard the monstrous roar?" I said indignantly. "Seriously?" The thing roared again.
Renee listened. "Dang it!" she said. "More monsters? Run!"
We ran. Ran like mad. As we ran, I stepped on a rock, and the rock glowed. The ground opened up. "Get in here!" I said to the girls. We all got into the hole as it closed up. The monsters didn't follow. Guess they couldn't open the door.
We were safe for now... but it was dark down here. Hmm. I looked around for an exit. "Come on!" said Renee. "We have to get out!" I ran a few hundred feet, and then we turned left, right, right, left, right, left, left, right, turned around 180, left, right, stop. Took us about five minutes. I sighed. "No way out," I said as I leaned against the wall.
Then the wall glowed, and another door opened. We exited, and although we'd only been down there five minutes, it was now daylight. I looked around at our surroundings, but the light was blinding after our time in the dark and I could barely see a thing. "Where are we?" I asked. My eyes adjusted as Renee said...
"China???"

@ Joe: Thanks! And I love the whole minotaur, labyrinth to China thing! That is awesome!
Avril ~
I was thoroughly exasperated with Lewis by this point. My right arm was sore from tumbling down the hill, though I tried to ignore it.
"What on earth are we doing in China?" Emma asked as we emerged. The Great Wall of China sprawled out in front of us. Tourists milled around, walking around, taking pictures. The fact that we had just appeared out of nowhere, or that we were four minors by ourselves looking like we'd just spent the night running for our lives didn't seem to bother them at all.
"We need to get back to the US," I said, looking around. I turned and faced the wall behind us, studying it. My thoughts raced.
"Spread out, start looking," Renee said, moving along the wall.
How could we have gone from Long Island to China in just a matter of minutes? I thought to myself.
"Hey! I found something!" called Emma a few minutes later. We rushed over to her. A Delta was carved into the wall. Unless you were looking for it, you would never have known it was there. Something tickled at the back of my mind.
"The labyrinth!" Emma cried. "That's the mark of Daedalus. This is an entrance to The Labyrinth!"
Lewis brushed his hand across it, trying to brush away the dirt. It suddenly glowed a bright blue, and a hole appeared in the wall. Again, none of the mortals noticed. Inside was pitch black, with stairs descending down.
"Um, are we sure that's the way we want to go?" he asked. I had to admit, even I was hesitant.
"It's the only way," Renee said firmly. "It would take too long to find any other way back."
I nodded and led the way down.
