Dystopian RP

Dystopian RP

I know I haven't been on here for a while; I really am going to try to post more often... Anyway, I thought it would be cool to do a dystopian RP. But we have to make up what the world is like before we start soooo any ideas? :)

Nothing really new happened when you were gone, BHR. It's still pretty much the same.

I HAVE ARISEN! Let me just quickly say that I probably will steal Juilette from here and make her be my lead in a novel I'm going to write. Her looks and name mainly. Okay. Now to this story.

Juilette--

A Seedpod drifted in front of me. It looked complicated, so many little bits and pieces. It finally landed and opened up. I inched towards it and saw it held water, a can of tuna, and a can opener. I sighed, grabbing it. I didn't care too much for tuna. I also preferred flavored water. But this was normal water, swishing in a bottle of unflavorness.

"What'd you find?" Julian asked, coming up to me.

"A can of tuna, horrible tasteless water, and a can opener."

He motioned to the items in his hands and said, "A small notebook, a small pack of pens, and canned fruit."

"Gosh. Can't they fit better food in here? I can't live on unflavored water and tuna," I muttered.

He chuckled.

"You weren't supposed to hear that..." I said, a dead look in my face.

"Then I didn't," he replied.

I smirked, and walked away to my bag. I shoved the items in it and grabbed my music player, sticking the little white earbuds in my ears.

Gosh, there are more and more people escaping, I thought to myself. Is there going to be a revolution or something? I looked down to my hand, opening and closing as if an invisible hand kept on trying to escape. I still had no idea who had grabbed my hand in the tunnel. I hope I'm not going crazy. Nobody brought it up. I hope someone would.

I heard a think next to me and saw Tristy sitting there, staring at my music player.

"Yes?" I asked, grabbing my earbud out from my ear.

"I've never seen one of those before... How does it work?" She asked, clearly fascinated with my small device.

"It's a music player. You add music to it by selecting it from a music player dock and plugging it in. Then, you put the earbuds in your ears, chose a song, and listen to it."

"What do you listen to?" She asked, actually looking at me.

"Stuff you probably won't like."

"Oh," she said.

There was a moment of silence, then I asked, "How do you feel being out here with random runaways?"

"Well, it can be a little scary. I mean-" She was cut short by the fire being forced out and someone screaming.

Correction: I am. I'm taking Juilette. This feels wrong though, like I'm plagerizing. She's my character, but still. Hmm... I can probably think of another character. Yup. I have one a bit in my mind. So false alarm? Or not? I'm not sure.

Thanks, Bookbug! Gah, sorry, I know I said I'd write, life just has been SO busy!  Okay, so aaanyways, I shall write now!

Jessica ~

The seedpods, which I immediately began mentally disecting, gently dropped down to the ground. Cautiously, we proceeded to examine the contents. A group of packages wrapped in grey paper were neatly arranged inside, with no name or tag as to who sent them. I sat cross legged on the ground and carefully pulled aside the paper. You never knew when it might be useful. Beneath the paper were several boxes of matches, canned foods, a lantern, another canteen, a pot and a set of bowls, a pocket knife, and, much to my surprise and joy, and set of glasses. They were a simple set of black wire frames, but my vision was so poor, anything at this point would help.

"How..." I mumbled, now thoroughly curious as to who sent the pods, and why they would have thought to add a set of glasses. I slipped them on my face, and in an instantaneous rush, the world came into focus. I blinked several times, attempting to adjust myself to the drastic change in vision.

"Whoa," I said aloud, blinking rapidly.

"What?" Julien asks, glancing over at me. "Wow," he said, when I looked at him as explanation.

"Who sent these?" he demanded, now just as curious as I was.

"Who knows," I muttered in responce, thinking hard and checking the seedpod over again for anything I might have missed. Deciding there was nothing left, I stood up, about to check on the others, when movement to my left caught my attention. Suddenly the fire went out and the world went black, and I felt someone grasping me around my stomach. On instinct, I screamed. A hand was quickly clamped down over my mouth, and I felt myself being dragged off. Thinking fast, I opened my mouth and bit down hard on my captor's hand. He let out a sharp yell of pain. I tasted blood. His grip on my loosened slightly, and I took advantage. I rammed my elbow backwards into his abdomen, causing his grip to relax even more. I wrenched my arm out and grabbed hold of his hand, twisting his arm back, causing him to double over. I then proceeded to knee him in the exact same spot I'd elbowed him. He dropped to his knees, gasping for breath.

By this point, Kevin had already located and subdued my kidnapper's partner, who was also down on his knees. Juliette had lighted the lanter I found in my seedpod, and held it to their faces.

What I saw immediately was that they were not soldiers. They were middle aged, around their fourties, and weren't wearing a soldier's uniform. They had no weapons on them other than hunting knives which I noted were still in their sheaths. Their hair was messy and longer than the usual crew cut soldiers had, and they looked like they hadn't shaved for at least a week.

"Who are you?" Kevin demanded, though he had no weapon drawn, evidently having made the same observations as me.

"You kids are going to get yourselves killed or captured with your wandering around the woods," the first spoke, glaring up at Kevin. "Just look how easily we spooked ya. Besides, you shouldn't be going anywhere near that old town. Place is crawling with soldiers."

"You're telling us," Finn muttered.

"And you're dang sure lucky we found you before the soldiers did. You didn't miss but a few yard distance from them awhile back there while you were tramping up here. We heard you, and came to warn you."

"Yeah, trying to kidnapp us is such a great way to do that!" Julien said exaggeratedly.

"We were trying to make a point," my attempted captor said, glaring at Julien, "Point is, we're trying to help you. Now you can either take it and have a better chance at survival, or you can leave it and fend for yourselves."

"And we're supposed to believe you?" Keven demanded scoffing.

"Look, since you all are so obvious deluted, you're not the only escapees. People have been slippin' off one by one for years. Now there's a whole lot of us. We've formed a sort of community, living together in a camp. That's your best chance of being outside the compound. It's several miles southest of here, that way." He pointed. "You all can choose to come, or stay here and waited to be hunted down. Your pick."

With that, the two men stood up as if this had been a simple little get together, and headed off toward the woods.

"Wait, why should we believe you? How do we know you aren't spies and aren't leading us to a trap?" Kevin called to them.

"You don't," the lead man said, glancing back. "But if do go, tell 'em Gabe sent you."

I watched them disappear into the inky blackness. The whole time they talked, I watched their eyes and breathing. One thing I could tell for sure, they weren't lying.

This is just random, so y'all can throw it out. But there ya go.

This actually makes a lot of sense, BHR. Why did I never think of the fact that, if our charries could slip out of the complex, other people could have done it too?

By the way, to the TOP with this! THIS THREAD WILL LIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
