She crawld out of bed and walked down the path to the beach. On the shore she saw a furious girl who looked like she just washed up. "Hey?! You ok?" The girl mumbled something under her breath. "What's you name?" Megon asks slyly. "Etta," she replies. "What did you see down there?" Megon pushes on. "Mermaids! Slimy, gilled, fish faces!!" Etta exclaims. She gets up and kicks some driftwood. "OK, calm down. You want to get rid of them right?" Megon pushes further. "Of course I do! They tried to kill me! What's your concern anyway?" Etta demanded. "OK, listen. I am a mermaid hunter. I can help you! You help me, I help you. And your reward... " she looks around  and dogs in the sand and something catches her eye " for a reward you could have this seashell made of diamond." Deal," Etta agrees. "Follow me." And they walked up the path to Megon's house.  

Can I join? I thought this RP looked neat, and when I saw the plot line about battling sirens, I just couldn't resist!

Name: Hazel Sparrowsdaughter

Type: Cursed

Element she can control: Fire

Appearance: Bright red hair about shoulder length, gray eyes. Wears the same band of gray fabric around her chest that all prisoners of the merfolk wear.

Personality: Brave, cocky, and quite impulsive. Often lets her emotions get carried away, but tries to use her talent as a pyromancer (magician who specializes in fire spells) for causes that she thinks are just.

Other: Was taken prisoner by the merfolk when she attempted to steal one of them against her teacher's better judgment. Cursed with becoming a mermaid when the merfolk realized it was the only way to keep her alive for long underwater.

I also have a few little world-building suggestions; take them or leave them as you see fit.

-Merfolk militias should employ a few of the less powerful Water controllers to sense "echo ripples," or tiny distortions in the water left by a moving creature, sort of like an underwater scent trail.

-The main difference between merfolk and sirens is their powers: merfolk can control one of the four elements, while sirens can enchant or deafen opponents with song.

-Most Fire-type spells, when cast underwater, result in a huge cloud of steam and bubbles rather than fire.

• Megon• 

Megon and Etta walked up the path. It was all silent exept for the crashing of the waves. After about 2 minutes they reached megon's house. Megon sat down on the bench next to her house. Etta tiredly say next to her. Megon seen that her arm was cut. " what happen?" Megon asked " oh, that's nothing." Etta replies "no no no, stay here. " maple says calmly and walks into the house. When she returns she has waterproof bandages, neosporin, and a ice pack.she lays the ice pack on the cut. Etta flinches. " ok good thing my mom is a doctor, I am going to get a medical needle and medical thread and- " Etta cuts her off " stitches?'!?" Etta asks " is this entirely nessasary?" " well the cut is little more than an inch deep." Megon says " ok fine, if you insist. " she runs into the house and returns with the supplies. After the stitches where over Megon laid the half melted ice pack on the stitches and wrapped the water proof bandage around it." Ok so what are we going to need?" Megon asks " poison, daggers, fishing nets, waterproof camera. " Etta says calmly. " good thing I am good at chemistry!!" Megon exlaims " follow me!" And they disappear into the house 

Jackie was very scared. She was a mermaid. A mermaid. She thought they were only in lengends! She swam through the ocean, looking for someone to explain her something, something to help the dizzy confusion in her head. Most mermaids hissed at her, saying "humans. Why should I help you?!" Jackie moaned miserably as she glided through the evil, mysterious ocean. 

~ Etta ~

I followed Megon into the cottage. It was much bigger than I had expected, but I hide my amazed expression before she could see it. I followed her into a curtained corner full of jars, bottles, baskets, strange utensils, and more on shelves . There was a small well with a bucket, a towel, and an oven .

" What kind of poison ? " Megon asked.

" Liquid or powder that disolves in water, mild in taste, smell, and feel, and perferably painful. " She nodded and took out a basket . She emptied a jar full of small, oily sack-like organs labeled "Wasp Poison Sacks " and puntured each with a two-pronged fork. Then she fished the empty sacks out of the oily, clear liquid with the fork. She added various acids and powders, stirring slowly, then declared it done and poured it into a jug .

" What about the rest of the supplies ? " I asked, as she stoppered the jug and stuffed it in a sack. Maple pushed the curtain aside and stepped out. She lead me over to a chest and pushed it open. From among empty bottles, broken glass, tangled ballls of fishing wire, and cans of fish bait, she pulled out several nets, along with a lighweight, simple waterproof camera , and several rolls of extra film.

I nodded. " Good enough, I suppose. What about the daggers ? "

She showed me a rack covered with swords, daggers, bows and quivers. I studied the daggers expertly. One had beautiful carved wooden handle, which would easily give to a stronger blade. Another had a strong hilt and sharp blade. I started to lift it off, but it was heavy and unweildy. I put it back and examined a sharp dagger near the top. I lifted it off. It was light and felt good in my hand. I nodded to myself, slipping it ito my pocket.

" So , we have all the stuff , when do we do it ? " Megon asked excitedly.

I thought for a moment. It'd be better to wait till night to accutally poison the water sources, but it couldn't hurt to find them beforehand . I touched Tati in my pouch. he was probably hungry- it was almost noon . So I said, " Let's eat lunch, then find the water sources . "

" Okay. "

" I'm going hunting . " I told her.

" But I thought you were going to eat- " Megon said, confused. I explained, irr[tated, " I'm going hunting FOR food . " I left. As I walked toward the nearby woods, I glanced at the occean. I snarled quietly, " Soon, fish-freaks, soon. "

- Etta and Megon get captured and meet Hazel.

- Megon finds out about her sister being a mermaid and tricks Etta.

- Um... sorry, I think that's all. Two isn't really ' some ' , but that's all I've got .
