Ifly back up to the balcony, run into my room, and lock my doors. I had my fun. Now it is time to find Etta. I make sure all my doors are locked and climb up the ladder. I go to my new chemesty set and see Marvel. You silly cat. I pick him up and put him on his cat bed. I walk back to the set and pick up a bag of dried pine needles. I pour it into the water. I pour more secret stuff Mom told me I was not allowed to buy.  I make a suloution and label it " diamerm suloution." I put it in my waterproof satchel and same with Etta's new dagger. I get my trident and put it through my belt. I am right about to walk out when I hear pounding on my door. " MEGON, OPEN UP!!!" Misty yells. I don't, and I climb down the ladder and open the balcony doors and fly off . I grab a green glass bottle and put the rainbow-colored solution inside. I grab a waterproof Sharpie and write on the green glass bottle. " ETTA" is what I put on the bottle. I fly on, looking for her hair by the surface. Eventually I find it and drop the bottle. I forgot something! I catch the bottle and put the dagger inside. I check everything. Before I dropped I made sure everything was in it ( the dagger and a small vail.) ( it's a large bottle). Every thing was in it so I drop it. I go to an island nearby and go to my secret potion ingredient garden. I pick up what I need and fly home. I sit on the balcony and watch the sun set. Nothing is more beautiful. I fall asleep on my balcony chair.

I found a small bottle marked ETTA in Megon's messy handwriting. I opened it and found a vial and my new dagger. YES !!!! I changed back into a human using the sticky purple glop. Then I flew several feet straight up, looking for any mermaids. As much as Fish-freaks grossed me out with their scales and tails-yuck- gills, I needed their help . I saw the mermaid who had been with the girl who I had tried to kill- Tyst ? Thyst, maybe ? I forget. Anyway, Megon had knocked her out and was about to kill her. I flew over and stopped her. " I need her, Megon. Sorry, but . . . " I sighed. This wasn't going to work. I didn't want to fight the mermaids- I wanted to kill the sirens. I hoisted the fish freak and flew away with her. Megon tried to fly after me. She was an amuter and clearly didn't have any experince, but I was carrying Tyst ( or Thyst, or whatever ) , so she started to gain on me. I did an trick I knew: a flip, a tumble, then a disappearence. I had learned it a while ago when a condor attacked me. I splashed spectacularly and came up behind a rock. While Megon was searching for me underwater, I quickly flew away.

Megon

 I grunt. How dare she. I. Will. Get. My. Revenge. I fly lightning fast after her, but she flys faster. She dives under water and I look for her. I fly back up after a failed attempt to find her. I fly back up and find her flying off towards her house. I catch up, and grab Etta's shirt. She stops. "What?" she asks " GIVE ME NOW," I say through gritted teeth. "No," she says. She explains everything. "You're not the only one who has something to settle with the mermaids!!" I yell as tears fill my eyes. A vision comes of what happened that stormy night. Waves crashing, Dad on the small fishing boat. The mermaid flipping the boat and father being pulled down into the ocean, to his death. I fall out of my trance and grab the bag, fly up into my room, and again lock my doors. I carry the mermaid up to the attic. I spray the mist that allows mermaids to breath air. I grab my survival knife and open the net. I cut the tail up and blue blood drips down it. I throw the freak against the wall, and she screams in pain. I grab her and get ready to slit her throat. "Tell me who did it! Now!!! " I say, "or you won't see the next sunrise."

It wasn't up when I posted.

And, I have a book of characters in my room and she was in it. That was her back round. And I know I sound mean and bratty but seriously please back off. I mean no harm to ANYBODY.

I slashed my knife downward into the rock angrily. Now I'd have to get a new way to talk with the mermaids. I paced. That Megon. I spun around, pacing again. I leapt into the air, expertly practicing dives, flips, kicks and rises. I landed,pulling my knife out of the sand, and began to fight with a non-existent enemy. As I practiced, I fell into a rythme . Soon I was feeling every breathe of air and hint of breeze. I sensed the winds being forced to lift Megon. In this state of zen-like power, I pushed Megon back down to the ground. It was really very easy : you persuaded the wind to stop making such a huge effort. Chuckling, I turned my senses away from Megon and out to sea, searching for submerged mermaids. I found one longuing on a rock and dragging a comb through her hair, but the tail indicated she was a siren. Moving on, I found Tyst ( or was it Thyst ?) swimming away from Megon's cottage. I let go of the power, exhausted but pleased. It took a huge amount of concentraction and skill to merge myself with the wind like that. I rose into the air, flying away to where that mermaid Thyst ( or was it Tyst ? ) was. When I spotted her, I dropped, turning into a mermaid. Thyst spun, drawing a dagger.

I raised her dagger nonchantily . " Want to spar, do you ? Too bad. I'm exhausted from saving you and the other mermaid. " Thyst looked away , embaressed and cunfused. " Who are you ? " she asked, not lowering her dagger. 

" Etta Muthen. " I replied.  Clever mermaid, she doesn't trust me. I heard Tyst mutter under her breathe, " Prisoner, mermaid hunter, undesputed attempting to assainant princess . "I recoiled in shock.That was the PRINCESS ? Oh no ! This'll be even harder then I thought.

" WHo are you ? "I asked.

She bit her lip, clearly considering. Finally she said, " Thyst. " I nodded.

" I wish to speak to the King of The Mermaids , " I announced.
