Saphina~

" Now that I know you're not an old lady, I'm not calling you 'Miss'".

" Fine. Call me Tuma."

"Call me Edwillow."

" Fine, Edwillow."

I'm acting all cool, and aloof, but... This is strange. And scary. I'm scared. There is a girl bleeding... Wait, no. She's not bleeding. Not anymore.

I whip out my magic orb.

" Am I going to be ok?" I whisper.

The orb reads yes. I sigh.

Furbin~

I aim my slingshot carefully. Patient. Careful. Fast. I let go of the string, sending the rock flying into the rabbit. The rock hits it's head, and I make the kill with my dagger.

I come back to our camp, a job well done. I turn into a wolf, to carry my prey in my mouth.

I don't make the big kills with the Hunter Wolves, because I'm too young. However, I still can go out and catch some small prey. We need these too, especially in these cold winter seasons. I shiver despite myself.

I bound toward Pernada, one of my friends here.

"Hello, Pernada!" I nudge him, but then I noticed he was distracted. "Is there something wrong?"

"Furbin... While you went hunting... Ternci called for a meeting... He... He said that you didn't belong here..." I always knew our leader, Ternci, had a grudge against me... But... "Yensang tried to stop him... He said being hybrid didn't matter... B-but he couldn't. Ternci kicked him hard." I gasp.

"Yensang... My..." My voice shakes. Yensang... The old wolf who took care of me.... Ternci kicked him. "...So... Did Ternci decide that I would leave camp?" Pernada tried to reply, but his voice seemed choked. He just nodded.

"Well... Then. I will leave. Am I allowed to say my goodbyes?" Pernada shook his head. "Fine. I will leave. Goodbye, Pernada."

"Goodbye, Furbin. May the woods never block your prey."

"You too, Pernada. Goodbye..." I nestle his fur, and, not looking back, I bound away.

I find my backpack, turning into a human to carry it. I stuff my tail into my pants, and put my prey into the backpack. Holding my slingshot tightly and my teeth clinched, I walk into the forest of leaves.

Menaya~

Why. Why why why why why. I don't understand. I'm not a freak.

I have been just kicked from my village. Everyone thought I was a witch. No one understood. It's not my fault! It's not my fault that I predicted Mr. Enconi would die! I didn't cause it!

That one night, where I lay in bed, dreaming, I had the vision. A man squirming in his bed, coughing blood, vomiting on the floor, screaming and screeching. Shivering, I continue refreshing my memory. When I woke up, my parents forced me to say what had happened. the next night, Mr. Enconi died.

Everyone thought I did it. I DIDN'T. All I did was predict it... My parents didn't even care...

No one does.

So now I stomp through the leaves and trees and finally here voices.

"...Get this girl to my cottage."

"Now that I know you're not an old lady, I'm not calling you Miss."

"Fine. Call me Tuma."

"Call me Edwillow."

"Fine, Edwillow."

I move closer. there is a girl on the ground, with honey like blond hair, and.... Is that a elf? A elf?

I trip over a branch, causing the elf to look toward me. She's blind. but she knows I'm here. She walks over to me and grabs me by the scruff, looking me in the eye.

"Who are you, young one?" Her voice is fluffy and silver, but sturness breaks through it like ice.

"M-m-mine n-name is Menaya. Menaya Renchai."

"Menaya Ren-what now?" Another girl growls.

"Menaya Renchai." I reply, more calmly this time.

"I think we can trust her." The elf says, studying me. "My name is Nenyala Tuma."

"And I'm Saphina Edwillow." Interupts the grumpy one.

"Gretta Rivenvale."

"Leila Tharrow."

Then the girl on the ground stirs.

"W-where am I?"

"In the forest, child. You are okay, you are not hurt." Nenyala carefully lifts the girl up.

"M-my name is Star. Star Ruby Jaden." The girl blankly replies.

"And mine Nenyala."

We go through introductions again, mine coming last.

I didn't exactly know why I came with them to their cottage. I probably just wanted some company.

When Nenyala went to go grab some tea from the cupboard, the window rattled.

"What was that?" I ask nervously.

"Probably nothing..."

"AHH!" A boy crashed into the room through the window, sending glass flying. He landing with a loud 'umph'.

"WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!" Saphina screams.

"Shhh, shh, let him speak." Nenyala hushes her.

"My name... M-my name..."

"Yes?"

"My name is Furbin."

"....That's it?"

"Yes... Furbin..." He brushed off his pants, and then gasped. "Oh..." I glanced toward his pants.

Sticking out of a hold, was a tail. A gray wolf tail.

And I will write in third person.

___________________________________________

Crystal was in her throne room when Flaimme arrived.

"Flaimme!" Crystal said. "What are you here for?"

"Summon the others!" Flaimme said.

"No need."

It was the jagged, echoing voice of Lightning.

"I am here, as is River. The Elemental Quartet is united-- Crystal, Flaimme, Lightning, River. Earth, Fire, Air, Water."

"I think we must set Master's plan in motion. I believe that Crystal starts, with earthquake. I follow, with forest fire. Lightning comes with hurricane, and River with flood. All that oppose Master shall be wiped from existence. Master will reward us well."

Star Ruby~
After I was chased by the Chitzah wolf, waking up surrounded by strangers isn't so terrifying. It's rather embarrassing, though. My cloak is gone, my french braid is undone and in scraggly honey-blonde strands all over my head. I must look a mess. No one is looking at me, and I try to sit up.
"Where am I?" I tentatively ask.
"In the forest, child. You are okay, you are not hurt," a woman bends down beside me and carefully lifts me up. I shrink away from her, but she continues to hold me in her strong arms. I catch sight of her eyes, and a lightning bolt charges through me, they are white, like my grandmother's eyes. I squirm, trying not to think of my grandmother; she left me too. I finally find my voice; ""M-my name is Star. Star Ruby Jaden." As soon as I say it, I regret it. I hate my name. Probably because it is the only thing to remember my brother by.
"And mine Nenyala," the woman replies. She reminds me so much of my grandmother, that I immediately like her.
"I'm Menaya Renchai," a tall girl with curly black hair bends down by me and smiles.
"Gretta Rivenvale," a really pretty girl announces.
"I'm Saphina Edwillow," an irritated-looking girl mutters.
"Leila Tharrow," another girl with curly blonde hair smirks. Nenyala leads us to through the tangled woods to her cottage. When we arrive, she makes me some tea which I except gratefully. It is still night, and I realize how tired I am. I slowly drain the tea and my thoughts wander. There is a crash from behind me and I duck as shards of glass fly from the window. A boy who looks a few years younger than me tumbles onto the floor.
"WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!" Saphina screams.
"Shhh, shh, let him speak." Nenyala hushes her.
"My name... M-my name..."
"Yes?"
"My name is Furbin."
"....That's it?"
"Yes... Furbin..."
Menaya stares at Furbin, and he shoves something into his back-pack. We each introduce ourselves again, reluctantly, and Furbin sits down as if he is part of the group. The others soon start talking about this and that going on in the forrest. Menaya continues to stare curiously at Furbin.
"Nenyala," I ask softly, "is there any way I could rest somewhere? I'm very tired." The words don't sound my own, but I still feel shy.
"Of course," Nenyala answers rather coldly, and I feel uncomfortable. She leads me off to a small room with a little bed in it.
"When you were unconscious, why did you say 'Uno?' "
"I-um said that? I must have been delirious" I feel even more uncomfortable.
"Humph," Nenyala says, and she walks away.

Oops, I meant 'Trying not to think of my grandmother; she left me too." Not 'Trying to think of my grandmother.'

I fixed it for you. However, this is a good reminder to all to please proofread your work before submitting it to us.

So basically, we've had people crash through this lady's roof and after introductions, we all sort of sit there awkwardly. Nenyala starts to speak "Today, we all were brought to this cottage for some reason, all of us just happened to show up here, why?" My honest answer was that I panicked when I saw a fire, I didn't know about the others. Menaya says " Umm, I wasn't meant to be here I just stumbled in on accident."

"So you may think," replied Nenyala "But I think otherwise, you may help me."

"With what?" I ask shakily

She looks at me solemnly and starts to explain.

"The elemental quartet has plagued us for years," I say quietly. Blank stares. I sigh.

"One is made of crystal. Terrakinetic. One is made of lightning. Electrokinetic. One is made of fire. Pyrokinetic. And the last one..."

"What?" Star asks.

I sigh. "The last one is hydrokinetic and she... she's my sister."

(BOOM! PLOT TWIST! If that's okay with you guys.

Also, NO MORE CHARRIES!)

Furbin~

The elf sends us off to bed, saying she knew we were tired. I agreed, but she immediately took me by the arm.

"I want to talk to your, Furbin." I nod quietly, awkwardly.

"Furbin, I would like to ask you how you came upon this house." Nenyala looks at me.

"Umm... Well, my pack didn't wan-"

"Your pack? Don't you mean village? And excuse me, but why do you sound so like a wolf? Furbin... Are you a wolf hybrid?" Nenyala persuses me with questions.

"Er... Yes... I'm sorry about my growl... Uh.." I look down.

I didn't know I was so far away from humans. I guess I'm so used to being taken care of by wolves... It's funny, that I don't even remember what it was like to be in a village... But I know how to speak English, and that humans exist... And that I'm human, ish.

"Er... I used to be taken care of my wolves, but then always knew I was a hybrid, and finally Ternci-- I mean the leader-- forced me out... oh, and to answer your first question, I was curious about that invisible... Stuff... I thought I could go through it, but it seemed to fall under me..."

"I think you mean glass," Nenyala corrects me.

"Yeah, that. Gas."

"No, glass."

"Glass, yeah... Well... I kinda want to go to bed..."

"You can, Furbin. I was just curious."

"Thank you." I was going to nestle her, but then I realized she wasn't a wolf. I awkwardly turn around and walk away.

Menaya~

That boy... He had a wolf tail. A wolf tail. How? Was he...

No. You only hear about them in legends... But then you only hear about elves in legends as well. And you only hear about fortune tellers in legend, too. So I shouldn't be saying that. He is most probably a wolf hybrid.

But he's kinda... Awkward. Shy. Maybe he was too far away from civilization?

Nevermind. Go to sleep, Menaya.

Saphina~

Pyro? What? She doesn't mean pyro, as in fire? As in, fire? Fire? What? No. No. I'm just not going to say anything. Act like I'm not deathly afraid of flames... And keep my calm, grumpy act going. There are also a lot of things I don't understand. Such as, how the heck did a furry wolf boy fall through the roof? And who are all these people, and why are they important? I whisper to my orb.

" Are these people trustworthy?"

The orb says:

Trust all but one among you.

That's annoying. So most of these people are trustworthy. All but one.

" What's that you've got there?" Says weird furry boy. I mean, Furbin.

" Nothing," I say. " An ornament."

" So you're saying that you  carry a glass ball around with you everywhere?" he says skeptically. Oh, why do I have to be so bad at improvising?

" As a matter of fact, yes. It is a keepsake."

I say no more. I get funny looks.

" So, anyway, why do we need to know about your sister?" asks Leila, looking at Tuma.

They each had their Kinesis styles. Crystal's terrakinesis used strong, solid, stable movements. Lightning's atmokinesis used fast, jagged movements, a strike and vanish strategy, and quick leaping. Flaimme's pyrokinesis used fluid but solid moves. River's hydrokinesis used fluid, flexible, flowing motions.

So Crystal started the Doomsday plan. At midnight was a perfect time, as any victims would be asleep and unprepared. Crystal started the earthquake. The ground pitched up and down.

Brookeira, I had written that Nenyala took Star Ruby to an extra bed because she was very tired. Can your "Plot twist" happen with the others while Star Ruby is asleep?

~Star Ruby

I dream that I am in a river. The currents are pulling and pushing me.... I cannot breathe. I hear a roar and I know somehow that it is the Chitzah wolf. I know I am drowning, and that the Chitzah wolf will kill me if the river doesn't first. Something grabs me, pulling me out of the river, and I find myslef face to face with the wolf. It gently lays its paws on my shoulders and hauls me onshore. I wait for it to kill me, but it doesn't. It makes a strangled sound in its throat, not a roar, but a gentle 'Haagh,' the word that stands for forgiveness, or apologies. In my dream, the ground begins to shake. The Chitzah wolf races away and my dream shatters...

The ground is shaking! I realize as my eyes fly open. I tumble out of the bed, only to swagger to my feet.

"Nenyala! Nenyala!" I scream as I fall over again. There are sounds that the others are awake. I manage to crawl on the floor as it quakes under me. I stand up and wrench open the door; when it opens, I fall flat on my face. I feel two hands on my shoulders, and they pull me to my feet. Something about this reminds me of something... but I cannot think about it now. I turn to thank the person who helped me up, which turns out to be Furbin.

"Thanks!" I yell over the noise of the earthquake. Furbin nodds.

"The elemental quartet!" Nenyala says as she runs waveringly past me.

"What?" I call after her.

"It is something Nenyala said something about after you went to bed. I didn't understand most of it," Furbin answers. And then someone screams from another part of the house.
