GODS AND GODDESSES

GODS AND GODDESSES RP

So in this RP, we'll be playing gods and goddesses that belong to an ancient civilization I just made up, which is called Faemiri. Its inhabitants are the Faemirians, and the gods we create, of course. Only eleven members, please. (In addition to myself.) If you join, you hereby pledge to post regularly and not forget about the RP, okay? I want this to thrive! Here's the charrie sheet and my charrie.
Name: Isychio
God or Goddess?: God
Age: If he were human, he'd be about 47.
God(ess) of what?: God of silence, fortune, and colors.
Appearance: Very tall and strong. Rich dark skin. Eyes are wise and kind, with a hint of sadness. They look like color wheels with no pupil. They're cool, I can draw a picture if it doesn't make sense. I'll just draw a picture of him for you so he makes more sense overall.
Personality: He is, in essence, quiet. When he speaks, his voice is deep, harmonious, and rumbling. Many mortals will Queste far just to hear it. He's distant and gives off a strong aura of power. He likes to be alone, but you can tell it's worn on him through the years. He's a constant presence, someone to lean on. He's always there for those he supports. He's well loved.
Powers: He can silence millions with a wave of his hand, and make colors erupt from anywhere. He brings good luck or bad to those he believe deserve it.
Homerealm (a private world created by your god that only your god and any they invite can enter): Vibrano, the land of color. It's an archipelago of floating brown rock islands with rope bridges between them. A depressing silence fills it, and not even the streams of color can be heard.
Weapon of choice: Isychio uses a broadsword that turns into a scythe at night. Whatever form it takes, it's always strapped to his back in a silver sheath unless he's using it. It has a blade of Vibrano Iron, which is a special metal that contains a jet of the pure essence of color in the center. The hilt of the sword is golden, as is the scythe handle.
Sorry this was so long, hope you join!

Hey Scylla, if you already said this then forgive me, but what is the name of the Fai'miri gods' common realm? You know, like the greek gods' olympus.

Er... I guess I haven't thought of it yet. Maybe the Valley of the Gods or something. Also, see my charrie sheet further up on this page. And we need to figure out who's married/related/likes who. Here's the first post!

Isychio~ I sit dismally on my throne, surveying the scene before me. The Fae'Mirians go about their typical lives, chattering away. The noise, unusually loud, presses on my ears. I long for the peaceful silence of my Homerealm. I stand up. "I'm going to Vibrano," I announce. Everyone else merely nods, they're used to my outings into my Homerealm. Under normal conditions, I don't speak, but by tradition gods must tell the others when they're going to their Homerealm. I draw my sword and slash it through the air, opening a jagged seam in what seems to be nothingness. I step through the portal into Vibrano. The silence is welcoming, enveloping and embracing me. As the portal closes behind me, I gaze around at the Realm. It's as beautiful as ever, with the rocky ridges and streams of liquid color. Animals go about their business as usual, and I wonder if the world is silent to them as it is to me. Perhaps they enjoy the hubbub of the mortal world and can hear it, and I only hear silence because that is comforting to me. I head to my palace, sheathing my sword. I need to spend some time alone.
Aionos~ Isychio is almost always in his Homerealm. Doesn't he realize that there's work to do in the mortal world as well? Fae'Miri is a young settlement and needs guidance, perhaps a push in the right direction. But then again, I have more responsibility than most Gods and Isychio doesn't have much he needs to do, but he could at least stay here to spend time with us. It's time for dusk. As usual, the warning flits through my head. Alright. I stand up and exit the Temple of the Gods into the Valley. I trek up the path, worn from centuries of raising the Sun and Moon. The Sun-half of the emblem on my breastplate's glow dims slightly as I raise my arms to the sky. I begin a low chant, slowly getting louder until I'm nearly yelling. The Sun begins to set, and as soon as it's disappeared below the horizon I lower my arms. The Sun-half is completely dark now. As I begin the chant for the Moonrise, the Moon emblem on my breastplate lights up. The Moon rises up from the sky, pale and bright. Night has fallen.

I don't believe in other gods, due to my religion, but I'm making one anyway.

Name: Sycyra

God or Goddess?: Goddess

Age: If she were human, around 24.

God(ess) of what?: Life, Death, Sanity, Insanity, the Mind, Light, Nature

Appearance: Long, red, hair done up in a braided crown; Dark, greenish, soul-searching eyes with sad, silent, and heartbroken glints; tall, strong, and slender; Eyes can see everything; Isychio's sister. I'll draw a picture if you can't see the image in your mind.

Personality: Short-tempered; easy to anger; quiet; when she speaks she almost always speaks like she is challenging you; can be firm, kind, furious, deadly, etc... depending on her mood and who she is dealing with; will look you straight in the eye, and force you to look into her eyes if you do not; gives off an aura of natural power.

Powers: She can kill, ressurect, make insane, and cure insanity in people; and she can also control life, death, light, sanity, insanity, the mind, and nature; most powerful goddess.

HomeRealm: Like Isychio, her homerealm is Vibrano, the land of color.

Weapon of Choice:  She mostly uses her powers, but she also uses a whip made of pure light and color.

Sorry, Gaby, but this RP is no longer accepting. Feel free to read if not contribute to it, however.

So guys, can we start figuring out relationships? I think Isychio will be Aionos's son.

If Linnea's okay with it, I would think Evdione and Anase would be related in some way. I just always imagine nature and the elements to walk hand in hand.

Anase~

Bored.

It's hard to be goddess of the elements. Basically, you get some say on the construction of the world, as you're the expert in the water, earth, and lava placements. And after that? Nothing. Sure, you get to cause a few floods or make some volcanos erupt, but I could get in trouble if I do that too often; we don't want all of Fae'miri to die.

Therefore, I spend most of my time in the Valley of the Gods.

I'd love to be able to walk amongst the humans like, say, Harmonia, who can provide counsel on music and math. But who asks the goddess of the elements whether or not they should herd their flocks today or what the square root of 1,277 is? I wouldn't be able to answer. I could always go and have a little fun, but no; I'd get in trouble for that. Is it wrong if I find my life boring?

Sorry it's short! Before I do anything else, I have a few questions:

What exactly does this Valley of the Gods look like? Where is it (i.e. mountain, alternate dimension)? Does it have thrones like on Olympus? How big is it? I'd just want to know that before I elaborate.

The Valley of the Gods isn't really a valley. It's a plateau raised above Fae'Miri, and it's very green and lush. There's a temple on it where all the gods have thrones and meet for counsel. There are a few lakes, an enchanted forest, and the Sacred Pool of Creation. This Pool is a very powerful Pool, and anyone near it can draw whatever they're thinking of out of its depths. The rules are: You can summon things of your own imagination out of it, but you must contribute blood for your creature to live. You must pull it out of the water with your own arms and stay at its side for seven months and seven days. It's in a small clearing in the center of the Enchanted Forest.

So could Isychio and Lumione be brothers?

Sorry- spelled Lumion's name wrong.

That's fine with me. Maybe Mortem could be their brother as well? It would kind of make sense. Who should their mother be?

Okay! Maybe.... Evdione could be their mother? I don't know.

That might work, but we'd have to change the ages on Isychio and Lumion because Isychio is a lot older than Evdione, and Lumion is only two years younger. The age for Mortem was never listed, though.

But on second thought, some gods/goddesses could just have chosen to age while others didn't, soooooo yeah it might work out okay actually.

I like the idea of Mortem being their brother.

Okay so maybe now we can start roleplaying? We need to figure out a plot -- I'm open to suggestions.

Maybe Fae'miri could be under an attack or something and the gods and goddesses would have to sort things out. That was just a random idea we don't have to use it.

Sorry if I keep referencing Greek/Norse mythology-- I'm kind of a mythology geek right now because I just took the National Mythology Exam.

But like Lemon Banana says it could be like a great battle of gods vs. monsters like Ragnarok, the final battle in Norse mythology... or maybe the gods could just have different adventures/myths like in Greek mythology? that wouldn't exactly be a plot, though.
