The ornamental woods.
Deep set in the cornapy mountains the ornamental woods are host to many an array of creatures. However wether they know it or not they are ruled by the "Kesaay" a government of beasts, mythical or otherwise. The kesaay perform invulnerable tasks. Controlling the weather for instance. Without them the forest and all its creatures would vanish forever.
However something is corrupting the forest. Trees wither like grass in full sun. Rivers are black with poison, and a disease is spreading. A disease who's bearers lay writhing in agony for a day and disappear the next.
Those of the forest blame the kesaay, threatening to overrun their rule and take the power for themselves which could only end in great destruction. Destruction that could spread from the ornamental woods into what lies beyond.
RULES & INFO:
The kesaay are organized into ranks, each rank possesses a layer of the forest. For example. The first rank abides in the upper canopy, etc.
RANKS: From lowest to greatest.
SEVENTH RANK: leaders of the animal clans. Example. Leader of wolf clan. Leader of owl clan etc. (This is optional, those who exel at sixth rank can still be part of the kesaay) capacity: there is no limit
SIXTH RANK: Training to become part of the kesaay. Failure in this can result in going down in rank. Capacity: 20
FIFTH RANK: Healers. Those in this position are sent out to heal the sick and injured as well as participate in further training. Capacity: 10
FOURTH RANK: Water. In this rank one will help control the speed, power and purity of the streams, rivers, ponds and lakes in the woods. Capacity: 7
THIRD RANK: Weather. In this rank one will help control rain, wind, lightning, etc. Capacity: 3
SECOND RANK: Nature. Those in this rank will help control plant growth, etc. Capacity: 2
FIRST RANK: Leaders of the kesaay. Those in this rank are known as the elders, they control the passing of time and space. The most powerful rank of them all. Legend hold the elders are fallen stars chosen by the moon. It is nearly impossible to get into this rank, none have done so in a thousand years. Capacity: 5
RULES:
1. There are no humans in the ornamental forest
2. You can be any creature imaginable, but there is no magic apart from that in the kesaay.
3. Potions etc. Are allowed though.
4. No being op. You CAN NOT be *poof* one rank into the other, moving rank too rank takes time and training.
5. When one is ready for the kesaay, the mark of first/second rank will appear on their body.
6. 11-up only please.

Inktail is it OK if no one knows your forests daughter? I'm really sorry but it would make more sense if no one knew about your lineage right now since Forest Probobly would have mentioned having a daughter earlier. :-( sorry.

Greatness lunged through the underbrush, the bushes and trees intertwing their mangled fingers behind his flank. I blundered after him, not caring of my wings or how many gashes were biting at my side.
Yells and screams jutted from ahead. Flipping themselves over and returning more sinister then before. I started, spinning around and catching the slightest glimpse of......no, I shook my head. It was nothing.
Greatness had disappeared from view. But the roar of his hooves could still be heard against the clash of a battle I needed to end.
I darted through the woods, dipping under the tangled overgrowth.
Sorry I have to leave for fair. *eye roll* finish later!!!!

Hooray! I really love reading the posts for this RP!
Name: Hynabo
Species: Red fox
Appearance: She's lithe and wiry, with big, dark brown ears and amber eyes. Her red-orange pelt is glossy and well-groomed, and not a hair is out of place. Her paws are delicate and dainty, but beware the claws that lie beneath the dark brown fur. She has a fluffy tail that's tipped with white, and her muzzle looks like she dyed it to match snow.
Personality: She's crafty and clever, but she never becomes cocky. She loves to play tricks, but she always plans them out first. Being a thinker, she's known to mull things over a lot, but all that pondering usually pays off. She's sneaky and a master thief, and loves shiny things. Smart, she doesn't get into trouble she can't get out of. Most of the time.

I cursed silently, again ripping my braid from the knarled fingers of a deceased pine. I ground my nails into my palms, demanding my body to move faster. To bear the pain.
Greatness' voice swept through the woods, drowning out the rush of blood against my ears.
"Come forest, the path lies clear ahead," I force my eyes shut, pushing my words back down my throat.
Its just a bad dream, stargazer would never do anything like this. Its just a dream, Ill wake up and everything WILL be fine. Just a dream...
An ailling breeze swept through, seeping deep into my wounds. I shivered, my muscles tensing.
Nothing, its nothing. I'm waking up, this is just a nightmare. Nothing, its nothing.
A silver dot slipped through the sky overhead. I stopped immediately. A flood of memories choking my thoughts.
No.....it..it wasn't...it couldn't be...
I was thrown back against a maple, a sickening crunch meeting my ears. I winced, forcing every breath through.
In a moment the pain seemed to be drawn from the rest of my body and then slipped into the gash at my side.
I screamed, pain searing down my wound like fire licking at dried fields. A charcoal shaft of light exploded from my side, breaking off into separate appendages, like ice breaking. I clenched my fists, tears pushing themselves from my eyes.
A thousand voices blundered into my head, yelling, screaming till their words fell in unison. Chanting.
Tefaru has returned.

~Silverwing
I winged back, the falcon nearly slipping from my talons.
"What are you doing?" Midnightmoon hissed.
"I was caught in the moment, stargazer needs to die." I spat.
She flipped around, slipping into my wake.
"He's just a griffin, weak compared to us. We can kill him along with the other kesaay when the time comes."
I turned to face her, beating my wings beneath me. A look of confusion swept over her face but she immediately concealed it under a frown.
"You don't remember do you?"
She narrowed her eyes but was silent.
I turned back toward the clearing, midnightmoon trailing dubiously behind me.
I caught sight of the space and ascended into a dive. Landed straight on all fours.
Stargazer growled, pressing himself upright.
"You-your dead" he murmered. A snarl embedded into his face.
"Surprise."
Midnightmoon alighted gracefully beside me, her eyes flicking over the bloody stargazer with a look of disgust.
His eyes widened and he started to snake uncontrollably.
"M-m-moon?"
She scowled.
I expected him to collapse but instead he just stood, his eyes glued to her like she was some kind of miracle.
"You....midnightmoon.....wonder...no..."
He glanced at me, then back to her. Then back to me.
"Let's just kill him and get this over with," she whispered.
Stargazer gasped.
"No...moon..."
"Dont call me that, worm." She snarled.
"Midnightmoon, stargazer, the spell..."
I lunged for his chest, pinning him to the ground.
"That's enough, wretch." I hissed.
"MOON, THE SPELL, ITS THE SP-".
I clamped down on his leg.
He screeched for a moment then was silent.
I grinned back at midnightmoon.
"watch this."
I drew a talon along his throat down to where his shoulder blades met.
I beamed, locating the rossete I had been looking for.
I set a claw across it.
Stargazer erupted into skreeches, clawing deftly at his arms and legs which were bubbling like molten lava. His coat shrank back into his skin which was convulsing and contorting over itself. His eyes bulged as ivory scales split through his hide slipping over one another like tatonic plates.
"What did you do?" Midnightmoon hissed.
"Revealed what out brother truly is."
Stargazer screamed, lashing his tail side to side while his wings peeled back revealing bat-like appendages. His claws lengthened, curling at the tips. He tore at his beak which had started to melt into a snout. He caught my eye for a moment then uttered one last cry before he crippled.
The transformation complete.
"Let's go." I said contentedly.
Midnightmoon stared at stargazer's corpse for a moment then turned to face me.
"I want the rest of the kesaay to look exactly like this when we're done with them."
She turned back to stargazer.
"Dead"

I started, light flooding into vision like a waterfall.
I winced when a shoot of pain burst from my head.
"Ah your awake.". A fuzzy figure stood in front of me. The smell of fresh cut simmersleaf drifting off her pelt.
I narrowed my eyes to better see her but it only made it worse.
"where am I?"
"The infirmary, and a lucky thing too. When autumn found you you were on the ground barely breathing. Babbling about some "tofu or toru" somin' like that."
The figure shrugged and I felt a cold cloth on my head with the unmistakable stench of rotroot.
"Our best guess was a book fell on your head or a spider bite. Nasty things, running wild this time of year. Here take this."
The compress was removed and replaced by another one, this time smoldering with splitoungue.
"How long have I been out?"
"A week actually,"
"A WEEK?!?!"
"Don't worry you didn't miss anything, classes were canceled since wonder disapeared."
"WONDER DISAPEARED?!?!?!"
"Oh ya, its only gossip but some says she got mauled by the queen, course I don't believe such things. Drink this."
She forced a liquid down my throat that tasted like vultures vomit.
"Calypso came in earlier dismornin', poor thing. He really did get mauled."
"By whom?"
"Dunno, greatness and forest came in all scared like. Dropped him off and left. I don't know what's going on but it nothing good. Need some water to wash that down?"
"Yes please."
She handed me a small earthen mug filled to the brim with the pure liquid. I grasped it in my talons savoring the sweet smell of pistillion, a herb the kesaay added to their water to purify and sweeten.
"Well dear, sorry to check and run but I better check on the other patients. Ill be back in a little bit to help escort you to your living quarters tonight. For now you just rest."
There was a soft thud then silence.
I stared up at the ceiling, wishing she'd come back and tell me more. But the room stayed silent. Quiet. Empty.
An earsplitting shriek shattered the tranquillity. I clutched my head which was beginning to pound again.
Dragons shrieked in agony, puss leaking from beneath their scales. Many were already dead, their corpses lying in heaps.
Wonder was chained to the stone face, forced to watch her tribe die. Greatness lay at her feet, unmoving.
Two griffins stood atop the canyon, one silver the other (are you gold claaws?) Watching the disease devour what was left of the tribe.
Suddenly the silver one turned on the other, pinning her to the ground before the darkness swallowed them up...

I smiled I'm back. It feels so good to be me again. I can be in control again. I no longer have to wait for that stupid dragon! No one hast to control my life any more. I am in charge. And not only for myself.
"So, brother. What's the plan?" He smiled. The hawk was hanging from his talons.
"Fist, we gather the remaindents of the shape shifters. Then we kill everything the kessay controls. Starting with the dragon tribe."
I smile. "The dragon tribe." I'd had enough of the dragon tribe. Being locked there for some time, I'm glad to be free. I'm glad forthem to die.
"And Wonder the dragon who controlled your life for way to long. Sorry I took so long coming back."
"You better be." A twing snapped in her chest. Sadness? For Wonder?
"Maybe we should slowly kill all the kessay, together. In the end."
And save mother..
Wait what was she thinking?!
Was there still a little bit of Thoughtful left in her?
"Yes, one by one. Slowly. With agony. And each will get more frightened as they see their own die."
"And Mother can be the last." She thought with satisfaction. "She can suffer the most."
"Mother?" Silverwing asked, swooping low to run a gallon through the trees. Leaves spattered around the sky.
"I mean Wonder. Maybe there still is a little Thoughtful left in me. But Silverwing, you know, you know that mother died a long time ago?"
"Yes. And I know who killed her. The kessay."
There was a moment and they said slowly together, "Stargazer."
