Dear Future  Students,

You have been selected to attend the Griffinfeather School for Determined Children. Here you will learn about being extraordinary in an ordinary world, as well as other useful talents that are worth more than you think.

You may be wondering why we chose you out of all the people in this world. The answer is that you are extraordinary just by being yourself, full of talent because you believe in dreams, and brimming with determination simply because you believe in yourself. These qualities are what make a true superhero.

Orientation will be held on October 3rd. The attached forms will need to be filled out and sent to us by October 1st. At orientation, please bring with you along with typical boarding school neccissities:

1. A song heard by nobody's ear.

2. A word held by nobody's tongue.

3. A cloak of hiding that covers nobody's heart.

Warning: these items will not be the same for everyone.

Nobody will be admitted into Griffinfeather's School for Determined Children without these items. If you can pass this simple test, it will show that you are exactly the person we are looking for. Further instructions will follow at orientation.

Sincerely,

Sasha Night (school prinipal and Head of Training) and Winston Lendrift (teacher, Head Talent-Searcher, and head of the Pinecone League one-on-one training center)

Please fill in all blanks on the following form.

This is a charrie RP, not a SaS. I love all of your charries! It feels, however, that everyone is on the older side. So...you guys all want to work with Sasha? A lot of cool thigns are going to happen in Winston's class too (AKA unnecissary explosions and competitions and lots more)!

Also, I don't want to be "in charge" of the setting and all. Be creative please! Add stuff and minor characters in! Make more classes and groups and talents and devices!

You can start RPing about your search for my riddle. There are more than one answer I believe, but I wrote it with a particular answer in mind. It's not impossible. In fact, if you pay close attention to my wording, it is quite easy.

DATES HAVE CHANGED! Forms are due on Sept. 30, orientation is on Oct. 1st! Solve that riddle!

(September 28, 2016 - 10:25 am)

Name: October Kay

Age: 16

Personality: A drama queen, overreacts to everything, chattery, jupmy and usually very excited about something. Immature. Scatterbrained and charming.

Appearance: Curly brown hair, brown eyes, freckels. Fairly tall. Prefers to dress very femininely.

Background: Grew up in a well-to-do family, always went to very small private schools and is kind of sheltered.

Talents: Breaking things, collecting dead spiders, knitting, whistling, talking over people and staring off into space.

Past experiance with unicorns*: None.

Would you like a free fried gull?**: Erm.....maybe? That sounds kinda strange, don't you know.

Other: Adrian's twin, if you haven't figured that out yet.

Name: Adrian Kay

Age: 16

Personality: He is mute, and thus never draws any manner of attention to hismself. Which is perfectly fine by him, as he is rather awkward around people.

Appearance: Dirty blonde hair, brown eyes. About a head shorter then October.

Background: Same as October's, except he tended to be pushed in the shaodws, as their parents liked October far better over him.

Talents: Glaring at people, annoying October, pretending to be invisible, drawing, and grinning evilly.

Past experiance with unicorns*: Limited to staring at them.

Would you like a free fried gull?**: Of course.

Other:  N/A

I drew a map of the Griffinfeather campus. The words are all backwards I guess, but the only ones worth reading is where I wrote Pit of Lava, crossed it out, and said under it "recreational area" :P.

Here 'ya go! I'm basing this off myself in real life. Also, I have already obtained three items. Random fact! I had a dream last night that I brought them to Micearenice for orientation, she said they were typical and boring, and then I stuck a giant glob of ice cream in my hair and pretended I had thought it was a hat.

SO ANYWAYS.
Name: Autumn Leaves
Age (11-13 year old will be working with Winston, 14-17 year olds will training with Miss Night): 13 (And 3/4)
Personality: Well, the random trivia fact that I just spouted sums up my personality when I'm writing/talking online. In real life, I'm really quiet and thoughtful when I'm by myself, and really excitable and hyper when I'm around friends. Socially awkward around people I don't know well.
Appearance: Long (ish), auburn hair, brown eyes, usually wears cute, fall themed sweaters/cardigans/scarves. Always wears boots.
Background: My parents are musicians, and I love all things musical. (Even setting up stages and running cables :D)
Talents (do not overlook even the smallest and most insignificant): Plays clarinet pretty well, loves to write, is always living in her own daydreams as opposed to the real world. Has a good imagination, is good at crochet, has the ability to read and crochet at the same time. (Sometimes, and if the book is a hardcover of does not need to be held open. *shakes fist at gimpy, two towers paperback.)
Past experiance with unicorns*:  Well, Echosong lives inside my brain, and Echosong has met Sam and Windwhistle, and Windwhistle is a pegasus, and a pegasus is part unicorn, so yeah.
Would you like a free fried gull?**: As long as I get to eat fried octopus legs.
Other: I am very excited for this, and may or may not be sneaking Echosong, who I'm going to pretend is a grey and white kitten for now, into school. Hope that's not illegal.

Dear Daisy,

Congratulations! You have been accepted by the Griffinfeather School for Determined Children. This year you will be training to be a true "superhero" for our world. Please realize that training will be intense and missions will be dangerous and difficult. Groups in the 11-14 age group are divided into four rotating groups of somewhat likeminded people. I believe that your character and personality belong in the "Dream" group.

Be prepared, aware, and ready.

Sincerely,

Sasha Night

Alright! Here 'tis!

Name: Lia Twyne

Age:  15

Personality: An extreme overachiever, Lia has spent her entire life striving for perfection. She is obsessed with getting things "right," and will get incredibly embarassed over little things. She tends to get jealous easily, but it's more "Oh my goodness, how am I so stupid and not better than you?" jealousy than a spiteful jealousy. She's very academicy, and up-tight, and is often told to loosen up, which she hates. She is actualy very emotional, and often cries in private, but bottles up her emotions and seems cold and reserved around others. She keeps a diary, in which she vents rapidly, often filling up pages at a time (it'd be a good plot point if someone found and read her diary at some point!) She tends to be a bit of a know-it-all, and people don't really like her. She pretends not to care, but actually does. She tries to help anyone she meets, typicaly under-cover, because if anyone discovers it, they call her a suck-up.

Appearance: She looks pretty... average. Average height, with dark brown hair trimmed in a perfect line, reaching mid-way down her back, and bangs in a straght line down her forehead, which she tries to tuck behind her ears when she's nervous. She has dark brown expressive sparkly eyes that no one seems to notice, and a small, turned-up nose. Her skin, pale from lack of time outdoors, grows rosy whenever she's embarassed. She wears pullover sweaters over collared shirts, and skirts or slacks. She usualy has a pencil tucked behind her ear.

Background: Her mother is a senator, and she spent a large period of her life away at expensive boarding schools, getting her expectations of herself sky-high. She had a roommate who hated her, and spent every possible opportunity needling her, which taught her to hide her emotions. Her father, a shy, quiet, biologist, is basically ruled in every word by her mom. However, he was the only person she's ever been close with, and often corresponds with him. She has no siblings.

Talents (do not overlook even the smallest and most insignificant): Time management, stressing out, pretty much every subject under the sun (though she especially enjoys math and English), hiding her emotions, being disliked, helping others while staying in the background, giving people the wrong impression of her, determination, over-achieveriness

Past experience with unicorns*: Wait, what? I was told in fourth grade they didn't exist... One of the most heartbreaking moments of my life... I mean, uh, sorry. None.

Would you like a free fried gull?**: Ah... No, thank you.

Lia-

Oh. No. Oh no no noo. This application... What if I got it wrong? What if I couldn't answer... What if? What if? This shot through my mind as I glanced over the application for Griffinfeather school. I must find... A sound heard by no one's ear?

Easy. I smile to myself, writing a reminder to pack silence. Next... A word heal by no one's tongue? This one takes me a little while. I begin to grow nervous, until I remember something Papa told me in one of his letters: "Always trust that there is an answer somewhere out there. Look a little further, and it'll be there just waiting for you." I keep those words close to my heart, knowing that, no matter what happens, they'll be there for me. So I look further... Nothing. Nothing! For once, Nothing has been my aid. A word held by no ones tongue? Nothing.

Now... A cloak of hiding that covers nobody's heart. A smile a little at that. Goodness knows, I've been hiding behind a cloak practically my whole life, while my heart's been out in the open. Not that anyone bothered to find it. Here, I frown. But perhaps it is all for the better.

A cloak... That would be calm. Behind a cloak of calm, so much can hide. Yet, a heart can still be in turmoil, out in the open as if the calm didn't even touch it. A superficial calm.

A seal up my application, bringing it to the campus mailbox, along with one for Papa. Then, I flop down on the bed in my dorm. Be what may, I may soon be getting out of here. As much as I don't want to get my hopes up... I can't help myself. I have to get into Griffinfeather. I just have to.

-------

Also, in adition to other... A secret crush may be in order for Lia sometime. We'll see.
