RPing has been getting a bit boring lately. People aren't trying as hard, and, since it's only done for fun, our writing skills aren't being exercised as much. A contest would challenge us and really make us work hard on our entries.
How it works:
This contest will be categorized by genres. Everyone will tell us their top three choices for which genre they want to do, then it’ll be assigned by us. Four people will be in each group, and we’ll make all the threads in BaB because BaB isn’t as active and won’t be as clogged up. You get to choose your own groups, so feel free to sort that out in this thread. Please commit! The RPs will finish in four weeks, so plan your time accordingly!
The genres are as follows:
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Horror (Are you sure the Admins will allow this?)
Realistic Fiction
Historical Fiction
Mystery
Once your groups are formed and the genres have been decided, we recommend making a planning thread to sort out what you want to do with your RP.

If you didn't put horror on your list, you will NOT be assigned horror, @Lucy and @Leeli.
@Leeli: You'll pick your groups, and then we'll look at each individual's rankings and decide on a genre for the group. For example:
Person 1
Mystery, fantasy, sci-fi
Person 2
Realistic fiction, mystery, fantasy
Person 3
Sci-fi, horror, mystery
Person 4
Horror, mystery, fantasy
We'd probably assign this group mystery, because everyone has it on their list somewhere. In other pairings it might be more difficult, but y'all can poke us if you have any problems with what you've been assigned.
