RPing has been getting a bit boring lately. People aren't trying as hard, and, since it's only done for fun, our writing skills aren't being exercised as much. A contest would challenge us and really make us work hard on our entries.
How it works:
This contest will be categorized by genres. Everyone will tell us their top three choices for which genre they want to do, then it’ll be assigned by us. Four people will be in each group, and we’ll make all the threads in BaB because BaB isn’t as active and won’t be as clogged up. You get to choose your own groups, so feel free to sort that out in this thread. Please commit! The RPs will finish in four weeks, so plan your time accordingly!
The genres are as follows:
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Horror (Are you sure the Admins will allow this?)
Realistic Fiction
Historical Fiction
Mystery
Once your groups are formed and the genres have been decided, we recommend making a planning thread to sort out what you want to do with your RP.

So I asked Claaws to see if he/she wanted to join, and it turns out Claaws went away from the contest. So anyone want me to join group, I am okay with any genre.....but I would like Historical Fiction.
Then I'm assuming it's a pseudonym, not your real name.

Ok. Sci fi would be okay, I guess, but I'm willing to do almost anything to get on a fantasy team. My choices are like this:

Guys, guys, calm down. I'm sure it'll all turn out okay. St. Owl and Mei are trying their best to make this a fun and challenging experience for us all, and if fantasy is top of the list for you, they'll try to put you in a fantasy Group. So just, hold on, and at least wait until they choose the teams to rant, because they may well choose all of us to go on a team. :-)

I would've been on your team, yes, Abi. :) But, snice Mei said they will be choosing, we can only hope. :)
