She staggered into

Chatterbox: Inkwell

She staggered into

She staggered into her old home, looking around. In short, it was bewildering. New faces ran about in the streets, all calling to one another happily.

They didn't know. It was better that way, she knew, but it still hurt not to have her and her friends' names called out instead. These new neighbors, should have been her friends too.

But instead, she had chosen to tear up her roots, and try and hide her broken heart again. She had to drop by, and say hello. Ask how everyone was doing.

And make it alright. If she just came back once; not to stay, but to say hello, to make it feel better. It still hurt, that much was obvious.

It would never stop hurting, but some things might deaden the pain a little; rust the edge of the sword. Some things like extending a hand in friendship once more. With some, she had already.

But she had to extend this to the place, too. They would welcome her back, it was true. But they had rebuilt without her, and it felt so, very different.

Now, she was ready to make peace, and lay all of the old ghosts of the pasts to rest. And with that, she stood up on the soapbox, and yelled, "So, how are you all doing?"

Cho! I came back right as you left, but you seem to be an amazing writer! Welcome back! (p.s., I heard it was because you moved to Japan. Which region did you move to? I've been to Yokohama and Tokyo and other places because half of my family resides there.)

Thank you, Killim! I won't be staying, I'm just dropping in to say hi. ;)

As I've explained before to Ashlee, I haven't actually moved yet, but will be moving to the Kyushu/Ryukyu region. I'm excited, but also nervous. ^^'

No problem!

I love Kyushu! I went there to go to Karatsu before, and there are beaches. It's a really nice atmosphere, but be forewarned!

When I went to Katatsu, it was because my grandfather has a house there and invited us to visit. We had to go by Shinkansen (bullet train), which is also really fun.

Anyway, there was a beach really near by that we went to for the first couple of days. When we went there the first day, there were a few Japanese high school girls that let us catch things in the water with them. I ended up getting a flat fish that had tiger stripes. It was great.

The second day...was...um.... Interesting. I noticed there seemed to be a dead animal on the beach, so I paid careful attention not to step on it. Well it turns out that when I was carving big letters in the sand, I wasn't looking behind me, and I stepped on it. I blacked out for a moment, as it was a disgusting dead cat, and I ran into the water, trying to get the "germs," off of me.

Well I also wasn't looking around AGAIN, so I stepped in the sand and there were sand fleas all over my feet. It was the most disgusting thing EVER! It took a few tries to get them off, but when I finally did and told my parents about it, they laughed.

I can look back on it and laugh now, as Japan is a great experience and I love it there, but when I was in that situation- not so much. XD

But I'm not saying this will happen to you. I'm just saying that you'll probably love it in Japan, and no matter where you are, your wonderful personality will allow you to make new friends. <3

Gosh, it's great to see you. Life's been good, but busy. Marching band started, which means lots of playing the same song over and over and over again, which is fun. We've missed you a lot, and it's nice to have you back, if just for a bit.

I know! I would keep saying I've missed you so much, but then that would get boring. XP

Have fun with band!! *hugs*

Hi Cho! I realize we never really got to know each other that well, but I'm happy to see you again! Everyone missed you :)

Lot's of new CBers are popping up everywhere, and the Chatterbox is hopping!

I'm glad to see you too, Ember!

I've certainly noticed that; I'm also surprised to find that this thread is solidly staying at the top of Inkwell!

Hello! I'm new, so you won't know me. I've heard so much about you! I've also seen your name pop up when I was combing through the back pages, and found your leaving thread by accident while searching for some threads the post monster ate. I was going to search for the reason you left, but I kept myself from doing so out of respect for your privacy, I probably wouldn't want some far future person searching for the reason I left. The mystery will continue I suppose (sorry if I'm being inconsiderate, bringing this up). Welcome back, for a little while at least, and I'm glad to meet another Harry Potter fan!

Aww, that's so sweet, Mango! But you can look around, and find out the ugly truth about why I left. (I say ugly because it was probably the worst war I've seen) *shrugs*

The past is all behind me,

buried,

in the sno-o-o-ow ...

Who's your favorite charrie? (Mine's actually Hermione; there was another Hermione or two on here when I joined, and I like the name of Cho, so I picked that. ^^ Tho it does make it weird reading Harry Potter because of it ...)

Merlin's beard, thank you for letting me look around, this was driving me insane I was so curious about the Chatterbox's past! As I was looking around though, I realized that at around the time that I started looking at the CB, it was still in the aftermath phase of that big war(which seemed pretty bad, and I didn't even look at many of the threads from that time at all). I might have even been reading some posts while you were still there, I just didn't see you (I came across the CB and started reading the posts for a while before actually joining, its not creepy...I promise). Onto better topics, Harry Potter! I can get that having the name Cho would make it kind of weird reading the books...yeah that'd be really weird. While I was reading the series at first, I couldn't decide between Sirius, Lupin, or Hermione as my favorite character. Now, I really like Luna Lovegood, I like that she's quirky and that she's simply herself.
