Wings of Fire

Wings of Fire Roleplay!!

Alright, so in this roleplay the canon characters do not and have not existed.  The wall of weird IceWing aristocracy rankings was never broken. There is no decades-long rivalry between any tribes (y'know, besides the usual "my tribe is better" junk.)  The Lost Continent is common knowledge. SilkWings are still servants of HiveWings, but there is no mind control. LeafWings' existence is not a secret and they live in a secluded forest. There is a school just like Jade Mountain, Unity Academy, but it exists on an island between the two continents and takes tribes from both continents. Scavengers are treated as they were before book 14 or Dragonslayer, in fact of even less importance because of the lack of the War of SandWing Succession.  They are of little consequence to this story.

Other than that the world is the same.

There can only be one Animus dragon for each tribe- it's first come, first serve (and only for Pantalan dragons.)  Only one blood-red egg MudWing and only one firey-scales SkyWing.  One character can be a hybrid for each roleplayer.  Four leafspeakers, four flamesilks.

There are five winglets in the school, just like Jade Mountain: Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, Sapphire, and Amethyst, each consisting of ten dragons.  You do not have to be a student.

All righty then!

Um, I have a question! Can I still join or is that closed? If I can, can I come up with any power or does it have to be an exsiting one?

I'm not Tsuki, but I believe it has to be an existing power in the world of Wings of Fire. I'm not certain though!

Thanks! But just to make sure, I'll wait for Tsuki to answer, also, can I still join?

Sure, you can join!  Like Shining Star said, you have to use a power that already exists.  Have you read Wings of Fire?  If not I can tell you about the tribes and powers.

I read it a while ago, so if you could tell me about them, it would be a huge help!

Okay!

Here we go~

--PYRRHIAN DRAGONS--

MUDWINGS- they're the big brown ones with the heads that are kind of square.  Clay was one, if you remember him- Dragonet of Destiny?  First book?  Peril's kind-of-boyfriend?  Hungry?
Anyways- they're strong, they can breathe fire if they're warm enough.  They don't care about their parents or their kids, but they have the STRONGEST sibling bond any species has ever seen.  The bigwings- the oldest sibling- ends up becoming their sort of parent. They live in swamps.

IF a MudWing is born in a blood-red egg they can become fire-resistant.

SEAWINGS- Blue/green dragons,  they have superstrong tails, webbed paws, and many of their scales glow, and the dragon gets to control it.  That's how they speak underwater.  They can breathe underwater and are powerful swimmers.  They live in the sea.

RAINWINGS- often described as quite lazy, RainWings have prehensile tails, can shoot deadly venom from their fangs (MAGICAL DEATH SPIT) and their scales can change to any color they want.  Can even mimic their surroundings so closely they become entirely invisible.  Color changes are often due to emotion.  They're pretty much all vegitarian. They live in the rainforest.

NIGHTWINGS- the most secretive, most tribes hate them.  Large black dragons with silver scales that look like stars.  Can breathe fire. They... well in the books, they lived on a volcano of death and then in the rainforest, but that's due to events in the books which do not exist in this roleplay.  Let's say they live in a normal forest.

IF a NightWing is born under 1 full moon (the planet has 3 moons!) they are gifted EITHER prophecy or mindreading abilities.  IF a NightWing is born under 2 full moons, they are gifted BOTH prophecy and mindreading abilities.  NightWings with powers are born with silver teardrop scales next to their eyes.

SANDWINGS- Sand-colored dragons, beady black eyes.  They have a stinger like a scorpion's on their tail that contains a deadly poison.  Can breathe fire and tolerate extreme heat.  They live in the desert.

ICEWINGS- White or light blue dragons, shimmery scales, whip-thin tails, lots of iciclesque spikes.  They have "frostbreath" (pretty much they breathe on something and it freezes) and tolerate extreme cold.  They live in the tundra.

SKYWINGS- the most powerful fliers out of all of them.  Red or orange, breathe fire.  Live in the mountains.

IF a SkyWing is born with too much fire, called firescales, causing anything they touch to catch on fire.

ANIMI- Animi can be born into any tribe, and have the power to "enchant" things- they could say, "I enchant this rock to look like a burrito whenever anyone says 'I'm hungry,'' or "I enchant this spear to kill this dragon," or "I enchant this scroll to allow its user to have anything they draw on it."  Existing animi objects include the Dreamvisitors, three sapphires that allow dragons to visit others' dreams; the Eye of Onyx, a SandWing artifact that chooses the rightful queen in case of a dispute; and the Obsidian Mirror, which, when a dragon says a name to it, allows them to see what the named dragon is doing.  Animi is hereditary, so in this roleplay only one dragon of each tribe can be one.  If you want to be an animi, make sure to check no one else of your tribe has already claimed the spot. Pantalan dragons cannot be animi.

PANTALAN DRAGONS-

It is important to know that a whole lotta STUFF went down in the books, so these descriptions will just be for this roleplay.

HiveWings- orange or yellow dragons with some black scales.  Have wings shaped like dragonfly wings.

IF a HiveWing is born with special abilities, they vary greatly.  Possible powers include deadly stingers on their wrists; fart powers (that's basically what they are lol);  paralyzing toxins or venom in their teeth, stingers or claws; and acid shot from a stinger on their tail.  Live in "Hives-" basically there's like seven giant apartment buildings that everybody lives in.

SilkWings- beautiful dragons that can be any color except black, have butterfly wings, have antennae, are HiveWing servants.  They can spin silk from their wrists.  Live in the Hives.

IF a SilkWing is born a flamesilk, they can put some amount of fire into their silk.

LeafWings- Green and brown graceful dragons, wings shaped like leaves. They live in a secluded forest.

IF a LeafWing is born a leafspeaker, they can "talk" to plants as well as make them grow in a split second.

~~~~~
HYBRIDS- Just what they sound like.  Hybrids!
If there's anything I forgot please do tell me.
And you should DEFINITELY reread the books- and for visual descriptions google the book covers and the guide to the tribes that's the first few pages in each book.  I LOVE how each dragon tribe has subtle changes in scales, pattern, wings, body structure, horns, spikes...
Hey Pancake!
Great character, but can you make one tiny change?  I forgot to mention (sorry...) dragons have names related to their tribes.  I.e., there's an IceWing named Polar Bear, a RainWing named Tamarin, a MudWing named Clay... and it's all in English (although a lot of the time it's weirdly obscure words I'd never heard before, like Quibli, or words that might actually be in a different language but exist in english words as well because they are species names.
Sure! @admin, can you change my charrie's name from Sakurako to Frost?
Ok, I wanted to mention one *tiny* thing about SkyWings. Tsuki said there can be SkyWings with too much fire, right? However, I believe she may have forgotten to say that these dragons have a brother/sister in their egg WITH them, except that this dragon has too little fire. Basically, every now and then, an egg hatches where one dragonet took fire from the other one and ended up with too much while the other has too little. Ok that was a RAMBLY explanation!
Ender ||
Ender assumes a calm expression as she nods her head. "Of course."
But inside, she is bursting with excitement. Nobody has ever invited her to anything and this is her first time and she's so excited and she finally feels like she belongs and- cut the emotions, please.
Anyways. Ender carefully steps out of the cave, sniffing the fresh-ish air. Preferably no dead rats.
OKAY.
...That was short, my apologies.
Can you give me a summary of what happened so far? Then I will know what has happene so far.
Welll basically we all got to the school (duh) Seaweed had a weird dream about a weird dragon with a Dreamvisitor, Anthrophora got blown off into the wind but then came back, Ender had some disturbing visions.  Plus we all became semi-familiar with each other's personalities (check the character sheets for a quick run-down on those.)
I'm pretty sure it wasn't Ender who had the visions, Ender just had dreamvisitor stuff!
