Oohhh, I like where this is going!!! Ok, I'll be okay with mystery, though we'll might have trouble with getting every thing mightget confused. Though, I might not have time to do this, so I'll just give hints, ideas, etc., etc.

Maybe, if it's going to be a who-done-it sort of mystery you could establish who did it before you start writing, and then create the characters, setting, plot points etc. from there. It would still be a mystery as far as how the plot develops, but everyone would be headed in the same general direction. Just a suggestion! I'm excited to see what you guys come up with! -admin

Elizabeth-I like magical stories, too! Like fairies, and pixies, and magic like that. Not bad magic, though. Just good magic.

Okay, so we have four (or three and a half) people for this thread. I have a few questions/concerns/comments. First, it seems like everyone agrees on mystery for our genre. That's good with me. I like the mystery part, but I don't really like stories that are scary. Like murderers, or kidnappers, or things like that. I get nightmares. :(  If no one wants to change it, I guess it's okay, but I'd prefer if we chose a different scenario, if you know what I mean. Second, I like Admin's idea. If we do mystery, I think we should sort of have things planned out so we don't get lost/confused. I do that a lot in my stories on my own. I can't imagine how it would be with four people! Not saying that's a bad thing, but I think we should plan out our story before we actually start writing it. Third, is this an RR or an RP? I guess it started like an RR, and most things like this are RRs, but I thought it might be kind of fun to do an RP. What do you guys think? Fourth, ZB, are you going to make a character, or should we have three girls in the story? If you don't want to make up a main character, maybe you could make up a minor character. Fifth, I vote we do first person. I think that's the easiest way to do it. Sixth,  I really like Elizabeth's setting. I think it's awesome!! Let's stick with it. Seventh (and lastly), may I please have another character besides Emma??? PLEASE???????

Okay Princess P. I'm going to answer all your questions/comments/concerns. Starting at 1 and going to 7.

1- Hmm, it's kinda hard for me to think of a mystery without something like that. Ummm, I'd like to stick with what we have now. Maybe Elizabeth has some ideas, but I don't. Maybe you could think of something better for you and we could go from there. But if Elizabeth can't think of anything, or you can't think of something then I suggest we stick with the original thing.

2- I agree, we should plan everything out first. Make more characters. Make bad guys good guys, exc. We can start by finishing up with characters and what role they play in the story.

3- Well, technicaly it's an RR, but we can make the story like a RP by doing it in 1st person.

4-ZB, if you're not going to post that often (not that it's a bad thing) then I think you should have a minor character that the 3 main ones know. But if you do make a main character then you should know that while you're not posting that the rest of us are kinda gonna be your character in our posts because you won't be posting as them as often. (If that makes sense, I had to read it over myself.)

5- Ya Princess P. we're doing it in 1st person. It is the easiest way.

6- I agree, we stick with Elizabeth's setting.

7- Of course you can have more than one character. You can use Maggie, or you can make your own.

Admin if 3rd person is the author telling the story, and 1st person is the character telling it, then what's 2nd person. Is there even a 2nd person?

I learned the terms first, second, and third person when I studied foreign languages. First person is I or we; second person, you (both singular and plural); third person, he, she, it or they. The terms are useful in grammar, noun/verb agreement. I don't think many things are written in the second person (you).

1. In answer to your first one. Well, I don't have many other ideas except: Somebody is on vacation and one of the girls notices that there're lights and movement in the house at night so she tells her friend and they find out that they're dealing with something very tough... We could also just stick with the other one. I don't think it will be too scary. We're just kids.

2. Great Idea! We have most of the things. What else do we need?

3.I believe this is an RR but I'm not sure. I'll read NAME's post.

4. I think she isn't going to make a character but I could be wrong. It sounds like she may just give advice and stuff.

5. Ok, let me see what NAME says.

6. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

7. Yes, you may. There's no reason why not!

I wanna add a few things about Jess: She lives in a small house with her older brother Mark. He's 25 and is out of college. Their parents died in a car crash 3 years ago. Mark works full time from 8 am to 10 or 11 pm at Bank of America every day of the week except Saturday and Sunday. Jess is outgoing and loud. She loves investigating and can tell when someone's going to end up a couple. She is very athletic and plays just about every sport with running imaginable (except wrestling). She's on the guys hockey and soccer teams, and she's no stranger to dangerous situations. She's brave, daring, and looks deeper than most people. She's about a C average student, but she makes up for book smarts with street smarts. She also skateboards and rides a bike. She is afraid of nothing. But she HATES needles. She rides a motercycle, and lastly can only be emotionally hurt if someone talks about her parents badly, or talks about their death. She's willing to risk everything for the truth, and can't stand it when people think they're better than everyone else. She has a great voice, plays guitar and drums.

I think that's everything; wow that's a lot more than I thought it would be!

Phew! I'm glad we're still alive. :)  GO TO THE TOP, THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully he'll listen. He usually doesn't, though. :)

Elizabeth D. Sure! You can join! It's all right by me. NAME will have to verify that you can, though, since NAME is the one that started it.

SO SORRY, but our family is leaving for vacation VERY soon! I won't be back for THREE weeks!!!!! We might have internet, but I'm not really sure...Hopefully this thread won't be dead by the time I get back. Do you think I should still have a character, or not? Or should she just show up later in the story? Otherwise, see you all in a few weeks!

Ok, Princess. We'll keep your character in good care. We could say that she moves to the town later and gets caught up in the mystery. What do you think?

PS: Have loads of fun!!!
