I wonder why Princess P. and NAME haven't been posting. I hope they do soon.

@Brendan J:In Elizabeth M's post she said that Bill was going with Emma, Annie, Katie, Jess, and Rose.

//Katie//

I was getting ready for the dance. I put on the purple dress and French-braided my long chocolate-brown hair. I put on light blue eyeshadow and pink blush. Then I put on silver peep toe kitten heels. I wasn't really sure the heels were a good idea because of my height but they were the only formal shoes I had and I didn't want to have to buy new shoes. I finished getting ready by putting on a sapphire pendant necklace that my mother had lent me and silver bangles.

I went downstairs to eat a quick dinner and wait forAnnie and her aunt Sue to come pick me up. My brother was going to the dance too, but he had a date who he was taking in his car. I didn't even know who he was taking. Shows how little he tells me.

After I ate I ran back upstairs. I had forgotten my purse. It was a silver medium-sized clutch. Inside was my cellphone, a bottle of pepper spray, chapstick and small camera, since my cellphone couldn't take pictures. Before I went downstairs I grabbed a purple shawl that matched my dress. I ran back downstairs and saw that Annie's aunt Sue was just driving into our driveway. I checked to see what time it was on the big grandfather clock we had and saw that it was 7:45, still a quarter of an hour to the dance. My parents wanted to take a picture before I left so I gave them my camera and they took several pictures. I said good-bye, reclaimed my camera, and went outside the door. I knew that Jess wouldn't be going with us after all because when she had gone over to Mark's house after she left the gardens he had asked her to the dance and of course she had accepted.

Bill

The girls were walking twoards my table.  I nervously gulped down the liquid that tasted a mixture of sweet and bitter.  I put the mug away, and the girls came even closer.  They sat down at my table, and I asked, "Who are you?"

Sorry that's so short.

Here's some info about Bil:

Lives with his mother, who is 47.  His dad was killed a few weeks ago.  He is a big soccer fan.  He is a Sporting KC fan.  His job at the market is to deliver raspberry jam.

Annie

The boy looked at us nervously as we advanced. The corners of his mouth twitched slightly.

“Who are you?” he asked in a worried voice.

Rose, Jess, Emma, and I stood around him with our arms crossed.

“What do you know?” Emma demanded.

“Wha…?Huh? About what?” The boy was getting even more nervous.

The girls and I looked at each other. The same thought was going through our heads.

He doesn’t know anything.

We each pulled a chair up to the table.

“Who are you and how did you know that the people had stolen their bikes?” I pointed at Rose and Jess.

“Bill. Bill Asphelt. I’m new at school. I saw some masked guys take the bikes. Who areyou?”

“Rose, Emma, Annie, the girl serving coffee is Katie, and I’m Jess.”

The boy nodded.

“Is there something I can’t know?” he asked, confused.

We all looked at each other.

Then we went over to Katie who had been listening to the conversation from the coffee machine.

“Should we tell him?” Rose murmured.

“Not here! At the community gardens, tell him to meet us there,” Katie whispered.

“Do you know where the community gardens are?” Jess asked Bill.

“Yeah…”

“Meet us there at two!” The boy nodded and I stared at my watch.

8.55!

I had to be at The Old Look in five minutes. I grabbed my tote bag and waved good-bye, running down to the clothing store for my Saturday job.

I looked at the time.  My watch told not only the minute and hour, but the second, also.   It said 8:56:17.  Channel 45 turned on at 9:15:13!  I hurried out the door and ran to my house and turned the tv on channel 45.  This time, it wasn't on!  I rushed to my room instead.  I turned my planner to the date, and under 2:00, I wrote:

Meeting with Jess.

I read one of my magazines.  When I was done it was "1:45:23!" I yelled.  I rushed out the door.

Aunt Sue went into the gardening shed and grabbed some gloves.

“We haven’t been here in a while. Better get to work. Are your friends coming?” I nodded and knelt down in the cool earth.

I heard voices and Katie, Rose, Jess, and Emma appeared in front of the gardening gate.

“Where’s Bill?” I asked.

“Don’t know…” Katie answered.

They knelt down beside me and started to pull at weeds.

During that time we talked about the dance.

“So, with whom are you going?” Rose asked the others.

“No one,” we answered in unison.

“Oh well . . . It’s not that important! We can go alone just as well,” Emma declared.

“Sorry I’m late!” I heard someone shout from behind.

We turned around and saw Bill standing out of breath in front of us.

“I was late and then I couldn’t find the place!” he told us through deep breaths.

Aunt Sue looked up. “Who’s this?”

“Bill Asphelt.” She nodded and waved from the other side of the gardens.

“Now, you wanted to know what’s happening?” I started off.

Bill nodded nervously again.

Then we told him about the folder, the pictures, the masked men, and the tracker on Jess’s phone.

“And you have to swear to keep that a secret.” Jess gave him a glare meaning: if you tell anyone then you’re dead.

Bill understood and nodded; after that he sat down and Aunt Sue gave him some gardening gloves.

“Are you going to the dance?” Rose inquired hesitantly.

“Yeah,” Bill answered.

“You can ride with us,” I said invitingly. “Aunt Sue has enough room for all of us!”

Bill was perfectly happy with that idea and answered, “Sure, that would be fine!”

Then we went on to other subjects.

That night: 6:30 pm!

I grabbed my dress from the rack and slipped it on. The silkiness was like water.

I smiled at myself in the mirror.

I took the curling iron from the bedside table and made my short hair into a light curly bob. I pulled my bangs back with a small white hair clip.

ThenI took the makeup I never wore from the table and found the mascara.

I slowly curled my eyelashes until they were long and dark. I took the small eyeshadow and covered my lids with it. It sparkled slightly in the light.

The last and final touch was a dab of pink lip-gloss. I was ready to go.

I slipped on the small pumps. They were red like my dress and had a small heel.

I grabbed my little bag and stuffed the pepper spray, cell phone, and little knife in.

I walked out into the hall. Aunt Sue came out in a cardigan and beige pants.

“Oh! Don’t you look beautiful! Let me get a picture.” Aunt Sue brought out the camera and snapped a shot.

“Well, come on! We’d better get the others.”

We walked down the stairs and got into the car.

I finished with my tie, and rushed out the door. I wasn't sure who to go with.  I didn't know many people in the school, so I didn't know who to go with.  I had to ask someone, though.  I decided to ask Rose or someone.  This was one thing I wasn't sure about.

Sorry, I can't think of any more.

Whew! I'm glad you're back. I'm also wondering where PP and NAME are. Oh well! I hope thay come soon!

Annie

Katie ran out ready in her purple dress.

She opened the door to the back seats and stepped in.

“Hey Katie!” Aunt Sue said happily.

“Hi Sue! You look great, Annie!”

“So do you!”

Aunt Sue hit the gas pedal and drove to Emma’s house.

When we got there she was standing on the porch waiting for us.

She waved and ran from the steps and into the car.

“We have to get Rose and Brendan,” I told Aunt Sue.

“Where do they live?”

“The outskirts of town. They both live on Jefferson Street. “

Aunt Sue looked at her GPS and drove quickly through the streets.

“Are you excited?” Emma asked.

“Oh yeah! This’ll be fun though!” Katie exclaimed.

Soon we were at Rose’s house.

I could see her face at the top window over the porch. Her house was large and surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Rose’s face disappeared from the window and in a moment she was out the door. She squeezed into the back seat.

After that we drove to Bill’s house and then we were off.

We got to the dance at eight.

“Bye girls! Call me if anything goes wrong! I’m correcting papers at home. See youat eleven or so.”

We waved as Aunt Sue disappeared into the darkness.

Katie, Emma, Rose, Bill, and I walked into the dance.

It was dark with disco lights and Grenade was playing. Couples and friends were dancing or talking with plastic punch cups.

“Where’s Jess?” I demanded over the music.

“With you-know-who!” Rose said and winked.

Then we walked onto the dance floor ready for a night of fun.

OMG! I'm SOOOOOO sorry! I was in the middle of moving, and my charger got messed up in the process and my parents wouldn't let me use theirs, so I haven't been able to post. Again, I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry!

Jess-

Matt showed up at my house about 10 minutes before the dance. My dress was beautiful if I must say. It was long and aqua. The open-toed heels were the same color. I was wearing a bit of lip gloss, and my hair was long and straightened. I wasn't wearing much makeup. Just a touch of blush lip gloss, and some eye shadow. I wasn't wearing any jewlery except a neckalce. It was a black string and tied to the end was blue sea glass in the shape of a circle. My brother had taken a couple pictures, then he'd had me take pictures of him and his date. Matt was wearing a black tux with a black tie. His hair looked like new Justin Bieber style. It was super cute! My brother drove us to the dance and told me not to do anything too stupid. I laughed and said, "Don't worry, I'll be fine." Then I winked. Matt and I walked into the dance together. It was loud and the music was blaring. I laughed. "Wow! This is awsome!" I didn't have a purse, but my dress had a concealed pocket. Everything I needed was in there. "Care to dance?" he asked in a funny proper voice. "I'd be honored." We walked onto the dance floor with the other couples. I saw Emma, Katie, and Annie, they gave me thumbs up, and laughed. I smiled. This really was awesome. When the song ended, the DJ played a slow song. Great, that was embarrassing. "Don't blame me if I step on your foot." I smiled. Matt laughed. "Don't worry, just don't be too offended if I do the same." He smiled now too. We started dancing. "So, what do you think of this?" he asked. "It's great!" "As great as this?" He kissed me, and I kissed him back. When it was over I said, "Not even close." We both laughed. Then I saw it, blood. Yup, dark red blood, probably not from today. "What's that?" I pointed at it. Matt looked down, and took a step back. "Oh my gosh, it's blood." I glanced at my friends who were enjoying themselves at the snack bar. Rose and Bill were dancing. I motioned them over. "What?" they asked. I pointed down. "Oh, my gosh. Matt, you and Jess leave. Now," Katie said firmly. "What, why?" "This is going to sound really stupid, but there's a murderer in the school who wants to kill me," I told him. Surprisingly there was no surprise in his expression. "I believe you. I know too. I just didn't know you were next." "Ya, well, I am. So we should leave." I was panicking now. That blood was old, but just the fact that it was here was making me panic. "Right, let's go." A man in a mask with a gun was right behind us when I turned around. The whole room gasped and stepped away. The gun was pointed straight at my chest. A night of fun huh? Ya, this is real fun. "I'll pull this trigger if anyone disobeys me; now everyone move away! Sides of the gym!" Everyone did. I was really mad. Like really really mad. But I had a knife in my pocket. AND pepper spray. He grabbed me and pointed the gun at my chin. "Now, little mister," he looked at Matt. "You drop that knife you have in your sleeve, and little miss," he looked at Kaite (I'm pretty sure she had the knife, right?). "Put that knife you have in your purse on the ground same as this young man." Matt put the knife down. Katie didn't. He took out a knife and cut my cheek. Red blood oozed out. "Now," he said calmly. Katie put the knife down. "Now, I want to see your principal if you'd please." Some kids moved aside to reveal a scared-looking principal. "Now, Ronald, give me that chip, and this girl won't die. Yet," he said in a voice that made the hair on my neck rise. "I- I don't know what you're talking about, now if you'd please let Rider go, and--" "NO!" He shot a bullet into the air which hit the roof and cut my arm. Deeper this time. OW! "Please." The guy holding me spat. "Now let's be reasonable. That chip is worth nothing, and-" He dug the gun deeper into my skin, and his finger tightened on the trigger. "Now, give me the chip or say good-bye to Jessica Rider!" he shouted. "You said my full name," I muttered. "Sure did princess," he growled. "And you called me princess?" I asked in a calm voice. Truly those things set me off. I kicked back with my foot. He lost his grip and dropped the gun. He hopped up and down clutching the area I'd kicked. I punched with all my might and my fist landed right in the center of his nose. I heard a crack and it started to bleed. "You broke my nose," he said in disbelief. "You called me Jessica," I reasoned. A smoke bomb went off and people went nuts. Matt grabbed me, and pulled me back. About 5 big guys completely in black surounded the man I'd hit and hooked him up to a rope. I looked up. Hole in the gym roof and a helicopter! What's next! "Until we meet again, Rider," he said. And he took off. Matt hugged me, and I hugged him back. Police sirens wailed, people went nuts, and my friends rushed over. "Jess are you okay?" Annie asked. "I'm fine." "No you're not, you're bleeding." I ignored Katie and rushed over to the principal. "What did he want?" I asked. "Nothing." "HE ALMOST KILLED ME! I KNOW IT WAS MORE THAN NOTHING!" I shouted. "TELL ME NOW!" My friends came over. Matt looked like he wanted to strangle the principal. "Tell, now," Emma growled.

I hope that makes up for the days I didn't post. :D

I loved dancing. (Is it okay if I say that this school has a lot of ballroom dancing instead of the other dancing? I mean like they actually dance waltzs instead of those weird slow dances.) I danced with everyone it seemed. Waltzes, east coast, west coast, group dances, and more. I loved the wonderful feeling of dancing, the way my skirt swirled this way and that and the wonderful exertion.

I eventually had to stop and sit down at one of the little tables at the side of the room. Emma and Annie came over almost as out of breath as I was. I saw that Clark had come with Emma to the table and Sam, a 6' tall sophomore with black hair and green eyes, had come with Annie. They all carried drinks, and Annie had brought one for me. I saw Rose dancing with Bill and called to her to come over. She did and Bill came too. I drank the refreshment Annie gave slowly. it was cola, my favorite soda.

This doesn't completely go with what you typed, but I typed it before you posted.

Bill

Nobody but me knew I was half-warrior.  I also knew that I was a sixteenth fortune teller, but I didn't use both powers at all until the dance.  Even though I was scared, I was almost fully brave.  My grandfather left a dagger and somemetal armor in my possesion when I was born.  Now I knew I had to use it.  At 9:00, when the ball was over, I ran in the car and they drove me home.

Next morning:

I got up and looked for the dagger and armor.  I felt slower, but stronger.  At 9:00:45, I saw my friends.  They gasped.  Rose whispered, "Wow! You're half-warrior!"  Just then, I saw a masked man pounce down.  I told them to stay back.  I used my fierce weapon moves, and before you could say "dagger" the man was dead.  I had defeated one, but I had a lot more to go.

Jess was demanding that the principal tell her what is going on. While she was I went to get my knife back and grabbed one of the tablecloths from one of the little tables. I cut the fabric into strips and wnet over to Jess and tied one of the strips to her arm. Then I tied another around that strip. I couldn't do anything about the cut on her face but I cleaned away the blood with one of them.

"Jess, I need you to hold this cloth to the cut on your face," I told Jess handing her one of the strips. Jess did.

After I had done all that I tuned into the conversation again.

The principle was just saying "I will tell you everything I can, but we have to go somewhere more private."

He walked off I assumed to his office and we all followed even Clark and Sam. Great, I thought, now they will probably be in that file as well.
