The Kraken
This terror of the seas is shrouded in myths, and many sightings of it are hoaxes, but we know about certain qualities that the Kraken posseses. The Kraken looks like a Giant Squid except for its colour. It is comepletely black. So black that even out of the water it looks almost like a shadow. It has been hard to pick out the fragments of fact from the Myths, but several things are always in the sightings. The people (Human or otherwise) always glimpse it, just a tentacle, maybe a beak, but always, always a certain part of the Kraken. It waits, showing a flicker, a misplaced wave, to it's victims, slowly letting the terror rise higher. Slwoly it encircles these unfortunate beings, making it very slowly visible, a shadow under the water, an eye staring fixedly and then gone..... And then, when it's victims are terrified, it releases a gas. That gas, known as Vapor Malum, induces hallucination, fear, and dizziness in the being, human or otherwise. Then, when the crew is comepletely incapable of steering the ship or raft, the Kraken strikes. It wraps its tentacles around the ship or raft and quickly punctures it with its beak, dragging the raft down into the sea's inky depths. Then, if there are any surviviors, it will carefully wrap its tentacles around them, drown them, and devour them.

The Angel of Death
When all of the Powers were born, and Unicorn came out of the flower, she fell to the ground. And when she made impact with the cold earth, a little piece of her horn broke from her body and fell to the ground as well. When it hit the ground, the little chip of horn grew into the shape of a human girl with the wings of a hawk. The other powers saw the little Power Friend and decided they ought to give her a name. That name is Death.
Little Death grew, and as she did so did the world around her. But soon everyone realized that the world of Kyngdom got crowded, because more and more people and animals were born, but there was no where to put everyone who was elderly or sick. So the Powers decided to give little Death a job: she would walk between worlds and find everyone sick or elderly, who got seriously injured or was stabbed in war, and she would bring them to this other world that they call the afterlife, where they could live forever after they'd passed in peace. And soon they even came to call this state of after-living death, named after the little girl with wings.
But after centuries, there came a blond, blue-eyed boy who didn't want to die. His name is Catastrophe. He tried to capture Death, so that he could not die. So Death was forced into hiding. She took her soul and let it be reborn, reborn as a girl in a village near BIG, who's parents affectionately named Maria. But Maria's parents were killed by their employers BIG adn soon so was her older brother. Maria, having no memory of her past life, went on to become a rouge. She learned to survive by never staying in one place to long. When her family died, she renamed herself shadow.
One day she found herself in room 13 of the Bog and Burrow Inn. There she met a cyborg cat named Mina, and they went on to battle Catastrophe alongside a girl named Icy. They had many great adventures together, and visted palces like the Battle of Aslahari, The Burning of the Bog and Burrow, and Sailhaven. They met people like Raven Shadows, Fox-Boy, and even Sprocket and Trillian Cogs of Sailhaven. At the moment she is trying to interrogate a girl named Luna. She is one of the founders of the Army of Mutants, and is currently helping write the Declaration of Liberation of Kyngdom, a document that may change the lives of everyone in Kyngdom forever.

THE VILLEPAIXIAN ELVES
History and information:
There are nations of elves spread throughout Kyngdom, but one of the largest are the elves that live in a forest Kyngdom by the name of Villepaix. There, a royal family rules, and a Council makes desicions beneath them. The other elves of Villapaix have different jobs, such as being soldiers or working in the palace.
The Council makes laws and deals with other matters, and the royal family approves those matters and govern Villepaix.
But the biggest reponsibilities lie upon the Elven children.
A few children every month get picked from their homes and sent to the Juenecouncil, where they are trained in Elven magic, history, literature, and other subjects until they are considered for the Council.
While in the Juenecounciul, they pass through several levels of magic, including beginner, mediocre, apprentice, teaher, expert, and master expert. They continue their training even in the Council. But once they are accpeted into the Council, and they are a Master Expert, their hair turns pure white. Even if they are young, they have white hair. No one actually has an explanation for why, but there are some legends that many lock away for an unexplained reason.
Current information:
An old enemy and assasinator of the king, Tallefine, is in rule and being a tyrrant over Villepaix. The old royal family, consisting of the king, queen, and prince ruled before, but the queen made the prince rule in secret in fear that one day they would be overthrown. The prince's name is River Boiset, and he has claimed himself as king. The queen, Zefara, right before she too was assasinated, flowed and gave all of her magic to River's friend, Rose, who is almost a Master Expert and now the successor to the queen.
Currentley, River, Rose, a werewolf named Autumn and a girl named Crimson are working on reclaiming the throne to the actual heir, River, who is also being pursued by Tallefine.

I'm so sorry if this seems rude, and I'm sorry I didn't know this before but...um....that's not really the um...backstory of the Powers. There was never an Angle of Death in the Power orgain story, and Catastrophe never tried to take her. Um, maybe we could work something else out? Like, maybe she was banished as a baby when she was boren, or she was the offspring of a sideaffecetd Power?

Shadow, I don't think it's a big deal, maybe Claaws had another sidesffected Power that the power's didn't know about? But if you do want anything like that, please post on This RP is... thread. Its of the anceint times when the Powers ruled, and maybe we can figure something out there, once you get to know the Powers and Sideaffceted Powers and everything that hast to do with them. I'm sorry again if we sound mean. Just trying to not get things confused and having some people think one thing and then others think another...that is how Kyndom dies.

Yeah...Sorry. Maybe alter it somehow? Oh, maybe have her be part Claaws/Dragon as well as part Sylvia/Unicorn. Sylvia seems to be more creation and the giving of life, whereas Claaws is the opposite, through no fault of her own. I don't think it's like Hermes, simply guiding dead souls to the afterlife. It's more allowing or forcing them through the gates. I'm also not sure if the Power Origin Story can or should be changed at this point.
Do you think Sylvia's horn being broken would affect her magic at all? Sorry, just wondering.

Dear Viola? and Claaws,
I am sorry for the confusion I seem to have caused with the origin story of the Angel of Death. I chose to use this story after writing many others because it felt right with the story of my character, shadow. It also explained why she has healing powers, and some of her others as well. I bought that maybe shadow's was an untold part of the Power Origin story, and that it could have been lost over time when the legend was told in Kyngdom. I understand completely that it doesn't fit in with the original story, and I see where I caused confusion. I would happily alter the story if you want me too. Also, Viola? I like some of the ideas you have about shadow, and her role in the factor of death.

I'm sorry Shadow, but the Power Orgain connot be changed. But I do like the factor of Shadow being the death part. Maybe *gasp and faint.* *wakes up a moment later, brushes self off and continues* MAYBE SHE'S LUNEE'S SIDEAFFECTED POWER! It makes sence, Lunee is all good, death is sorrta good in a twisted sorrta Sideaffected way. Tell me if you like!

@shadow: It's okay. It is definitely reasonable that the story of the Powers would change over time.
@Claaws: That would be incredible! She is an angel, in a way. But it seems a little odd that shadow would be the way she is if she's a Sideaffected Power. They're usually a lot more destruct... Wait. She is destructive. But she stopped being quite so much that way, and of course she's really nice and not obsessed with Lunee at all. Sorry, it's really her choice. shadow?

I dunno, I guess shadow is rather destructive... is that one of the tells of a sideaffected Power? I mean, she does tend to beat up things when she's angry, but she hates killing things or seeing things die before they were meant to. Maybe we could make a new category for shadow, classify her as something else? She could be umm, Lunee and the Unicorn's sideaffected Power, or maybe something else? Also, I'm honestly not quite sure what a sideaffected Power is, although I've heard them mentioned quite a few times.. Jaaws is one, right? And he's evil? Didn't he kill Claaws? Are all sideaffected Powers evil? If so, then I don't think shadow could be one. She's not exactly 'evil'. Also, are we going with the 'story changed over time' idea still? Maybe we could combine all of our ideas together, and come up with a mismash...
