The cat person points in my direction. Insomnia rushes over. When she's about a foot or less away from me, I come back to this dimension and spring up, making a hissin noise as I do so. Insomnia shouts and scrambles backwards, an Dog jumps a mile out I his fur. I laugh. Eventually they laugh with me.

"Is that the extent of your powers?" The cat person cocks a mocking eyebrow. I smirk.

"If it was then I wouldn't be called Rune the Deadly, now would I?" He jumps back. "Ah, I take it you've heard of me before?" The cat boy nods, interest flickering wildly in his eyes. 

"Yes..." I say, the fur on the back of my neck prickling, "There're rumors that you don't even really exist, that you're a specter that flickers in and out of existence."

"The flickering part ain't untrue."

"Ever heard of the Claw?"

"The shapeshifter? Yeah. You want me to kill him or something?"

"Hah- no. I am the Claw." he suddenly seems slightly alarmed.

"Ohhh... I'd guess you'd like me to kill the Coyote Lord then."

"I thank you for offering."

"I wasn't- That'll cost you a pretty penny." I hold up a bag of coins and jingle it. 

"This enough? Another one if you take out his lieutenants too?"

"Sure." which -obvously- is when the Pack finds me. they burst in the door of the restauraunt, and i realize theres no back door on this place. I'm an idiot. but suddenly rune grabs me and does the magic thing. "Why?" i hiss. "I protect my employers. Especially if there's an extra end payment." The Pack leaves, and Rune releases me. i finish my sushi, and a  hyena comes in, his eyes glowing. I immediately rise to my feet. "Alllmarellll" he growls. 

"Dez."

"You've cost me a pretty penny with your meddling."

"Yeah."

"What?" Rune interjects. We ignore him.

"So let's settle it here and now."

"Oh?" he rushes me, cloak flapping behind him. I jump, whirl, and- "ENOUGH!" Insomnia shouts. We both freeze. Insomnia is holding a pair of crossbows, loaded with Shotbolts. Nonfatal, but they still hurt.

Oh, by the way, i beleive Almarel would like you to add rabbit stew and stuffed mouse to the menu. 

I acted disturbed when the cat-boy said he was the Claw, but now I'm enjoying this confusion. I'm especially amused at the fact that the Claw think's I'm a 'he'. I'm also enjoying the fact that he thinks my only magic is dimensional magic. Well, put simply, he's wrong. I emit magic. I can use any type of it, but my favorite is flickering from dimension to dimension.

I smirk at Insomia as she waves two crossbows around.

The figure in the cloak--Rune, as I now know her-- chuckles.

"Well, this rather entertaining. The most entertaining one in here being the coyote, or course," Rune says.

" And what do you mean by that? " The coyote asked, hostile once more.

"Well, I find it funny that you come in all tough and ready to fight, and end up being scared by an odd dog," Rune replied , smiling.

Dez growled. "Thats not just any odd dog! That is an experiment, and a dan--"

"It doesn't seem to have attacked anybody. Or has it?"

"Well...I s'pose not..."

I snort. Dez should be afraid of me!

Ooh, drama, excitement! All of a sudden, I'm aiming two crossbows at the two people in The Olive Den.

I put them down, and slide over some plates. "Here are your orders," I say, like nothing ever happened.

I take out a piece of paper, and start doodling a map. Strange things happen when I make maps. All of a sudden, sometimes I'll know where something is, or I'll find something new on the maps. So it's a pretty useful skill, as a cartographer.

Almarel and Dez back away from each other, glaring and snarling. They sit down across from each other, seperated by the extent of the room. Almarel motions for me to sit next to him. I do. Insomnia looks up at us, then returns to her work with a peculiar look on her face. Dog lays down where he is, laying his canine head in his furry human hands. He pretends to be asleep, but through the thin slits of his eyes I note that he's just watching Dez incognito. Almarel strikes up a conversation with me.

"So, Rune, tell me about yourself." He tries, not looking up from his Peking duck. I shrug.

"What is it that you would like to hear?" Almarel thinks for a moment.

"How about your family? Have you got any? Any friends?" His eyes go blank. "A boyfriend or a spouse?"

"No. I haven't got any of those. My family cast me out when I was little, bearing the excuse that I was 'Just too powerful.' Friends? Nobody likes me, or trusts me enough to even get close to me. As for a boyfriend or a spouse... Nobody can love what I am." Almarel shrugs.

"I doubt that's true. I think you just haven't gotten to know the right person yet." Dog comes over and lays his head on my knee to try to comfort me. I smile faintly.

"It's okay, Dog. I don't need comforting. It's just truth." Despite this, Dog hives his head further onto my leg. I smile a bit more and pet him. Almarel looks over and laughs. The hyena across the room sneers. Insomnia looks up and giggles. Almatel returns to his duck, and Insomnia returns to her maps. Dog lays down again beside me. Cautiously, as to avoid stepping on Dog, I walk over to the counter.

"One order of crab sushi, Insomnia." I put a coin down on the counter, but I keep my hand over it. "Please." I lift my hand from the coin. Insomnia looks up from her scrawlings.

"Not bad for a professional assassin-or-whatever." She smiles and takes the coin, then disappears into the kitchen.

Ehehehehe I kinda ship Rune and Almarel. Cats claw what do you think? Eventually? :) 

A small ding sounds as the door to The Olive Den opens and in steps a being shrouded in darkness, his eyes skimming the people in the diner with feirce concentration. He then deems the creratures as not threats and he sits doen in a seat.

Insomnia then notices that she has another costomer "Hello, welcome to the Olive Den."

I speak so quietly that Insomnia has to lean in to hear my words "One freshly made sushi please."

As she leaves I grin from under my hood, I turn my brows up at a dog with, human hands? What an interesting creature.

I have not made a character sheet for this charrie yet so do not panic if you don't know anything about him. 

The newcomer's eyes flicker over to me. He seems to recognize me. He makes a swift motion with his hands. I smile from under my hood. I motion back, mimicking him. A quick clenching of both hands, then the sign for 'Freedom'. What he neglected to add was the short and almost unnoticeable twitch of both forefingers. The stranger smiles. Insomnia reappears with the stranger's sushi. He takes it and moves silently to a seat.

What I just looked at Almarel's sheet. He's a cat-shifter. Ich, ship is off. See, Rune's normal form is human-like so it won't work. Sorry, Catsclaw. :I 

I smile slightly, a familiar face at last. Then insomnia comes with my food and I sit, watching Rune out of the corner of my eye. I pick up the sushi with the chopsticks offered, test it for poision, and eat it cautiously. When I am finished I turn to Rune and smile, though she can't see it beneath my hood. Oh what would she do if she knew who was under this hood? Probably try to kill me, but that just makes the game more fun. My gloved fingers drum the table as I survey the creatures around me, eyes landing on the Claw. Oh what fun this will be.
