RP. So, I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

RP. So, I

RP. So, I have been onto a fantasy obsession lately, so I was thinking, why not start an RP? It's like a school for half-magical creature kids, and they go there to learn how to control their powers, and there's this bad guy, whose name I haven't thought of yet, who's trying to take over the world, and the kids have to stop him. Any magical creature. Leprechaun, fairy, whatever.  Sound good?

Name: Analee (means Grace in Elvish, and her elvish name is Eruanna, pronounced Air-oo-ahn-na) Sometimes goes by Ana for short

Creature: Well, duh, elf. And not Santa Clause elf. Tall, really pretty elf.

Age: 14 I guess

Appearence: long, auburn hair, amber eyes, tall, pale and really pretty

Personality: Quiet, shy and quick-thinking. Really smart and really nice. She didn't know until school that she was half elf. She lived with her human mom until then.

Powers: Healing. She can heal almost anything or anyone. She can shoot a bow and arrow really well too.

@Tiffany Sure!

Ana~

My life fell apart the day I got an F on my math test.

"Mom, It's not my fault," I said, picking a raisin out of my oatmeal cookie.

"Yes Ana, it is," my mom said. She was twirling her grey-streaked hair around her fingers. "Honey, you can't have grades like this. I don't care that you're home schooled, you still have to try." She sighed and bit her lip. "We've been going over this stuff for a month now. What's wrong?"

I moaned and sank into the chair. "Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that I'm the lonliest kid on the planet?" We had this conversation every day.

Let me explain. I have never been to school. All of my life, my mom has been my teacher. The reason? A few things. My mom's going on sixty. She had me when she was twenty. I'm fourteen. Or I look it. In reality, I'm going on forty.

How does this work? I have absolutely no idea. My mom say's I'm "special." But she won't tell me anything else. And not only am I fourteen going on forty, I have a really weird talent. I can heal stuff. With the touch of a hand.

"You know you can't be out there," she said. "It's too dangerous.

"How is it dangerous, Mom?" I said loudly. "I feel like a caged animal. I've never been farther than up the block!  Why can't you let me go out there?"

"Ana, we've been through this." She sighed. "With your...conditions, you can't go out there. people can hurt you. Your dad...

"Dad's not here anymore," I said coldly. "But if he was, he wouldn't want me penned up in a house... I didn't finish. The doorbell gave a cheerful ding-dong!

"Go get that," she said quietly. "We'll finish this later." I snorted and ran to the door.

A man in a dark suit was standing there. He was tall, and his short blond hair was slicked back.

"Miss Analee?" he said. "I'm Mr. Darko. I'm a admissions director at The Academy Of Half Blood Creatures. May I come in?" I was too dumbstruck to respond. The academy of what?

"No." My mother's voice came out cold behind me. "You're not welcome. I already told you. She's not going there."

"Ah, Mrs. Tompson," he said pleasently. "I've been meaning to speak with you. You know that Eruanna was enrolled at birth to our school. She is about ready now to go. And you were supposed to prepare her for it. Not lock her up and try to prevent her from coming. We are collecting half-blooded children from everywhere now. In fact, right after I bring Eruanna to school, I must go collect another child."

"My name's Analee," I said. "And I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm homeschooled."

"Oh Eruanna, don't you know?" he said pleasantly, like I was just a silly little girl. "Your father enrolled you at Academy of half blooded creatures when you were born. The reason you haven't aged is because you're an elf."

Age: 13

Powers: Can summon sea creatures to her, but if she's not in water, they appear in water bubbles.  Also can summon water.

Name: Ukanite (Uki)

Creature: Dragon

Appearance: Black floppy long-ish hair, tanned skin, really dark sorta reddish brown eyes. Tall.

Personality: Warm and friendly, social, talkative. Likes physical activity, confident, but enjoys writing as well. Stubborn and disobedient. Rational. Gets angry often. Rash.

Powers (not fully developed yet): Breathing fire (not really massive, it's actually kinda thin right now) and... I'm brain-dead. I'll think of more later.

Uki~

I always knew I was special, somehow. Never mind the fact that my dad teaches me at home and won't let me make friends. But alone, sometimes, I'd come into the backyard, get a pile of twigs, and set them on fire. I couldn't figure out how I'd done it, it was just a thin stream anyway, but... but yeah.

That morning, my dad was trying to explain some sort of equation to me. I'm actually okay in math, if I didn't get so bored with it. After a while, I just get tired of it, and start watching anything besides the paper. And my dad isn't helping.

Eventually, I finally get it. When I solve it, my dad beams at me and says, "That's great! BUT, when you're in the next grade, the equations will be WAY harder!!

That's my dad for you, really knowing how to boost a kid's confidence.

Just then, there is a knock on the door. A tall man in a dark suit walks in.

"Hello, my name is Mr. Darko, of the Academy for Half-Blood--"

Dad abruptly stands up. "Didn't I say no?" he asks sharply. "He's not going. I told you. I'm not going to this place, mixed with who knows what. You disgrace his heritage; he's fine here."

"Fine where?" I ask, confused.

Mr. Darko turns around. "You think your mother is dead, don't you?"

I nod.

"Mabye she is, mabye she isn't. But your mother... was a dragon. So follow me. I'll explain in the car."

He grabs me by the hand, and after throwing Dad one last glance, I don't see him again for a long time.

Awesome! :D

Name: Lotus

Creature: half-pixie (not happy Disney pixies, mischievous trouble-making pixies)

Age: about 200. She doesn't exactly remember when she was hatched. (more on that later) But she looks and acts around 16.

Appearance: light skin that always looks a little tanned. Pixie cut X) gold/blond hair, ice blue eyes that turn a light lavender/pink color when she transforms into "full pixie form". Tall and slender, with REALLY long legs.

Pixie appearance: same, except only about 6 inches tall. XD and has dark lilac colored dragonfly like wings.

Personality: even though she seems like she could be a steryotypical movie version of a cheerleader, personality-wise she's more of a punk. :) knows everyone vaguely but doesn't get super close to anyone. Ever. Because she's secretly afraid someone will find out she's not 100% human. Very rebelious, loves crazy parties and other such events where only mildly dangerous chaos rules. :)

Powers: can be very convincing. (like charmspeak in the lost hero) :) can fly, has enhanced senses, and has scary-good aim when throwing anything.

//Poplar//

"Poppy, honey, get down from there!" My mother called from inside the house. Already the vile smell of roasting meat wafted through the kitchen doors. "No, I'm staying up here," I yell from the top of the tree I was up in. I'm vegetarian in a family where everybody loves meat, so I'm usually half starved. A squirrel runs across the branch in front of me and stops and looks at me. "Hey there, little bud." It doesn't say anything. "Tired? Thought so." Still nothing. "But don't worry, the day's almost over. I hope that thing with you and your wife settles down. Sounds pretty intense." "Thanks Poplar," it squeaked, then ran off in the other direction. "Poplar, get down from that stupid tree right this instant!" I jump down and walk through the sliding glass doors. I can hear arguing in the study, and I know that he's here again, to take me off to the School of Freaks for my third year in a row. A man in a black suit walks out and my father follows behind him. "Poplar, darling, are you ready?" "Mr. Darko, pleasant as usual." I nod and walk into my room to get my bags. The plants that cover my shelves are already drooping, so I give them a smile to perk them up a bit. There, better. I grab a list and hand it to my mother. "What's this?" "It's their watering schedule. The ones closest to the window have to be watered twice a day with that water that we get from Portugal, and the ones next to my bed have to be moved into the study every other week, it's all on the list, don't worry." She nods and scrolls through it. "Good luck, Poplar, darling, and honestly, bring those grades up!" I groan and follow Mr. Darko out into the car. The last thing I ask him before we step in is, "Is it eco-friendly? Because you have no idea how much effect smog can do to the enviroment, honestlly, I had the worst case of asthma when I was 98..."

Ana~

"We're almost there, Euranna honey." Mr. Darko said cheerfully in the front of the car. "You're going to love school..."

"Why do you keep calling me Euranna?" I said testily. "I told you, it's Ana..."

"That's your elvish name." He said. "You're to go by that when you are at school. Understand? Analee is your human name. You are with kids like you now." Wow, how encouraging.

"Yeah, whatever." I mumbled, hoping he would never figure out that I would keep introducing myself as Ana. We were silent for a minute.

"I understand that this must be hard for you..." He said finally. "And never leaving your mother before..."

"I don't need her." I said coldly. "I don't need anyone anymore. My life's just a big lie anyway."

I looked out the window and thought back to when I was packing my clothes and getting ready. My mom was standing in the corner, quietly sobbing. I ignored her, and threw in my jeans and a tank top. She stopped to breathe, hesitated, and whispered, "Don't leave me, sweetheart. I may never see you again. I'll be all alone..."

"You'll be all alone?" I snapped, slamming my suitcase shut. "You've trapped me in this place for forty years mom, and you have the guts to tell me you'll be lonely?" I snorted in disgust. "Why didn't you tell me in the first place?"

"I thought it would be too dangerous for you." She whispered. "I thought you would be safer here..."

"Well you know what? I'd rather have danger and a life than being shut up by a selfish lady and safe any day." She was stunned into silence. "Oh Ana..."

"I need to go." I said coldly. "I guess I'll see you when there's break... if they have breaks, that is. Don't bother checking up on me." I turned around, marched down the stairs and headed out to the car.

I'm adding..

Ana~

"Welcome to the Academy for Half Blooded Creatures, Euranna," Mr. Darko says, opeing the car door. "I hope that you'll be very happy here."

I stared up at my new home. It was a large brick mansion, with ivy climbing up the walls. For some reason, I could almost feel the magic vibrating around it.

"Follow me," Mr. Darko said and started towards the door. Even though I was still upset with my mom, I was actually really excited. I would have friends! I could go outside! I wouldn't be a freak anymore!

We entered a long corridor, went up some stairs, and made a few turns, until he found a green door. Inside, it was small but cozy, with a window looking out to some woods. Two beds were facing each other. Two desks were next to the bed.

"Your roommate should be here soon," Mr. Darko said pleasently. "Make yourself at home until then. Dinner is at six. We have a lot of explaining to do." He then turned around and left. I sighed, dropped my suitcase, flopped onto the bed, and waited for my roomate to arrive.

Remember when I said she wasn't sure when she hatched? The species of pixie she is is almost like Disney pixies in that they don't have parents. They hatch out of acorns that have been exposed to pixies' magic for long periods of time. Lotus was created when one of those acorns was picked up and worn as a necklace by a young man for years. That man adopted her after she hatched and turned out to be able to turn human. :) Since she doesn't age very fast, she has lived with her "dad's" descendants ever since.

Lotus~

"I hate you," I whispered to the boy sitting next to me as the teacher droned on and on about a book I'd read at least 42 times. The boy next to me was Evan Jones, the most annoying, gross, rude boy ever to walk through the halls of any high school on the planet. EVER. He was poking my left arm repeatedly, trying to get me angry so I'd get myself in trouble. It's worked on me multiple times, unfortunately.

"What's wrong, flower?" he whispered back, and I could practically see his smirk even though I wasn't looking. He knows I hate being called flower. I swore at him under my breath, but he just snickered quietly. Then I got a really good/bad idea. When the teacher wasn't looking, I spun around in my chair, grabbed Evan's wrist as he tried to poke me again, and said a mild itching spell under my breath. Soon Evan was scratching himself like there was no tomorrow.

Gotta love pixie magic.

~~~
After school I walked home as fast as I could (which, considering I'm not supposed to fly around humans, wasn't very fast) and ran inside and up to my room before Anne could say anything to me. The oldest of every generation in Milo's (my "dad") family has been given the resposibility of keeping me safe. Not that I need it, of course, but it is nice to have kind of a family.
I was in the middle of doing my English homework when there was a knock at the door. There was some quiet muttering, then Anne called my name up the stairs:
"Lotus! Come down please!"
I ran down the stairs and saw a smiling man at the door. "Hello," he said. "I am Mr. Darko. I'm an admissions director at The Academy Of Half Blood Creatures.
"Uh, hi," I said, slightly baffled. I'd been on this Earth for 200 years, but never had I heard of The Academy of Half of......whatever.
"Did you know that you are half pixie?" he asked seriously. My first thought after that was,
THE GOVERNMENT'S FOUND ME!!!!!!
Then I thought,
Did he just state the obvious? Yes. Yes he did. SARCASM TIME!
"NO! Really? I didn't know that. Even though I have wings, eyes that change color, and am over 200 years old, I thought I was just a normal human."
Mr. Darko did not appreciate, or even acknowledge the existence of, sarcasm. At all. He simply said,
"Well you are half pixie. I've come to offer you a spot at the Academy of Half-" I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, I get it! You don't know what sarcasm is, I'm supposed to go with you, 'et cetera, et cetera, et cetera,'" I said, quoting one of my favorite plays of all time.
"Exactly," Mr. Darko said, smiling. I rolled my eyes, then looked back at Anne, who was smiling encouragingly.
"Fine." I packed my stuff, said good-bye to Anne and followed Mr. Darko to his car.
"By the way," he said once we were driving off, "I love The King and I."
Maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all...
