RP. So, I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

RP. So, I

RP. So, I have been onto a fantasy obsession lately, so I was thinking, why not start an RP? It's like a school for half-magical creature kids, and they go there to learn how to control their powers, and there's this bad guy, whose name I haven't thought of yet, who's trying to take over the world, and the kids have to stop him. Any magical creature. Leprechaun, fairy, whatever.  Sound good?

Name: Analee (means Grace in Elvish, and her elvish name is Eruanna, pronounced Air-oo-ahn-na) Sometimes goes by Ana for short

Creature: Well, duh, elf. And not Santa Clause elf. Tall, really pretty elf.

Age: 14 I guess

Appearence: long, auburn hair, amber eyes, tall, pale and really pretty

Personality: Quiet, shy and quick-thinking. Really smart and really nice. She didn't know until school that she was half elf. She lived with her human mom until then.

Powers: Healing. She can heal almost anything or anyone. She can shoot a bow and arrow really well too.

Wait, so Darko is a ghost? Just making sure I interpreted correctly.

Yeaaaaa. :) So just to brainstorm, some ideas for his powers:

The obvious:

Become solid/unsolid (obviously, he's a gohst)

Warp time slightly (how he picks up ALL those students)

Resist some magics (hence Sangua not being able to read his mind)

And some I think he should Have:

Read memories

Creating objects out of thin air

magically transporting items (such as suitcases)

Hehe, it's fun to think of what powers ghosts could have.

//Sangua//

By the time we got to school it was night-time. Never good for me.

I heard the lock click and I quickly opened toe door and stepped out into the night air.

It gave me the shivers, being here again. and especially with Mr. Darko.

I looked at him. He was having a harder time keeping solid in the moonlight. Besides being a bit taller, and wearing modern clothes, it could have been just yesterday that...

'No, don't think about that. Bad Sangua!' I scolded myself.

I grabbed my suitcase, which had appeared in the seat next to me mistiriously somewhere along the ride, and followed Darko into the school.

Dang! It hadn't changed a bit!

I instinctively walked twards the students dormitorys, but stopped. I wouldn't be there would I?

I heard a chuckle behind me.

"This way to the teacher's rooms, Sangua."

I followed him. He led me to my room and then dismissed himself for hallway patrol. I looked around the room. It was about twice as big as one of the student rooms and it had a desk, bed, bathroom and small walk-in closet.

I was begining to not be angry with Darko. Beggining to.

I leaned my suitcase on the bedside table and flicked off the lamp before collapsing onto the bed and falling asleep almost instantly.

When I woke up I was covered in feathers. I sat up and saw that the whole room was covered in a light dusting of them. I saw a note on my beside table.

Dear Miss Evans,

Welcome to the staff. We are glad to welcome you and to introduce you to the traditional and continuous pranking that goes on between the teachers. The students are not to know of this. We hope you're not allergic to feathers. You are to be teaching first year vampire and demons power-finding classes. Later in the year you will be teaching how to develop and use propperly and appropriately mind-reading powers. We hope you enjoy your time as staff withg us.

~The Staff

P.S. Lock your door at night.

---------------

I walked into the dining hall and stifled a yawn. I looked up to the teachers' table to see that the only empty spot was beside Mr. Darko. Darn, I was hoping to have at least my first day be a ghost-free one. I sighed and walked up.

"How did you know I hate feathers?" I asked, sitting down and grabbing a piece of breakfast sausage.

"Simple, I remembered," he said, carefully peeling an apple.

"You remembered? Or you peered into my memory?" I asked, now on my third sausage.

He smiled slightly, "You're a vampire, you posess the same anti-mind reading blocks that I do. No, I truly remembered."

I huffed, and reached for another sausage and a poached egg. Teachers sure had it good.

I voiced my thoughts aloud, "Seems like you guys have it made out here huh?"

"Yea, it's nice huh? If it wasn't for the fact that we're forced into service and all the bratty kids I'd say it was the best place to be for a half-blood."

"One thing we agree on," I say smiling.

The bell then rings for class to start. I look at Mr. Darko, lsightly pannicked.

"I'll show you to your classroom, you have a day to plan for your classes."

I nodded and followed him.

"Oh and by the way," he asked, "would you mind overseeing a detention after classes today? I'm a bit busy..."

"Sure," I replied a bit too enthusiastically.

I remember having detentions, this was going to be fun. I remember the detention I had with Darko...

'Thinking about that again Sangua? You know you shouldn't! No thinking!'

Detention. Humans really have some strange punishments. After what happened, everyone is giving me nasty looks, and I can't blame them. Don't get me wrong, I am not evil, but there are times when the demon part of me takes over and I lose control completely. It's easier to make everyone hate me so that they stay away. I don't want creatures so simple and innocent getting hurt. I look to the door as it creaks open. A tall woman with shockingly bright red hair walks in, looking slightly awkward. I pool some ki energy in my hand and play around with it. I have a feeling this is going to be boring.

I walk into the classroom, feeling slightly akward. I look at the group of students I am supposed to be giving detention to. There are eight students sitting there; two are boys and the rest are girls.

One of the girls looks up at me, and I meet her eyes.

'Hmm... Poplar? A Dryad. And she's worried about something, Bartho? I don't think he was still around. I'll have to ask Darko about that.'

"Polar," I said, still looking at her. She jumps and I smirk, "Don't worry about Bartho, I'm sure he's long gone by now if he's heard that I'm back."

One of the other girls looks up at me, quaking, and I shift to read her mind instead.

"Nerina," I said sweetly, "it's not nice to call people puffer-fish stickers. Even in your head."

Nerina choked on her own spit at this.

"WH-what? Slipperier than seaweed, you read my mind!"

I chuckle, "Well that's one of the advantages of being a vampire. I'm Miss Evans."

"V-vampire?" stutters another one of the girls.

I look into her eyes now. An open book. All of them are.

"Stop being nervous, Ana. It'll only make it worse."

She gulped. I loved having this power.

I spent at least an hour poking and prodding the irls and one boy, who seemed quite oblivious to the fact that eye contact made the connection. The Dragon, Uki, had the ability to shut it out, but he doesn't use it. The advantage of them knowing I was reading their minds was that they were thinking of exactly what they didn't want me to think of.

Lotus, for example, kept thinking, 'Don't think about that one crazy party, don't think about that one crazy party...'

I couldn't help but saying, "I see Lotus wants to tell us about some party she had."

At the end of an hour and a half, I let the worn-out group go. They filed out, and after having spent all that time with their minds open to me, I could hear their most foreward thoughts without even looking into their eyes. They were thinking very rude thoughts about me.

'Thanks a lot,' thought Beni as she walked by.

"Anytime," I replied.

"Wait right there, I said to Usiku, blocking the door. I haven't even read your mind once yet. How is that supposed to be sufficient detention?"

He still refused to meet my eyes.

"Look at me!" I yelled, and his head snapped up. My pet-peeve strikes again.

I smirk, finally staring into his deep green eyes.

'Deep with thoughts...'

I have to go now. Feel free to have Usiku shock me with ki energy or something. I don't care what you do to my character, just know that retribution will be swift. >:)

"That woman was meaner than a moray eel," I was muttering to my new friend, a half-blood dragon.  She nodded.  Then we heard a crashing coming from inside of the new classroom.  Quickly, I summoned a gust of water to transfer whatever was happening to out here.

The boy quickly stood up.  "You don't use your ki energy like that,"  Miss Evans scolded, her fangs out.  "This is what happens, class, when you misuse your power," she shouted. "He decided to throw some ki energy at me, and now Usiku is on probation at this school."

She covered up her fangs then strode off.  "I'm going to need to be an angelfish around her," I whispered to Lotus.

Ana~

I was pretty convinced that Miss Evans was the most annoying teacher of all time.

I had never really hated people that much, except my mom sometimes. But Miss Evans had fixed that.

"Is it possible that we can walk by her without her reading our minds and announcing it to the whole school?" my new friend Lotus muttered on our way outside for free period. A few seconds ago, Miss Evans had called out, "Lotus, if you stop worrying about how much homework you have and start doing it, it will be less of a problem. And Ana, it's not nice to call teachers annoying busy-body mind-reading freaks!"

"Not in her mind, it's not," Lotus muttered darkly. "I'm pretty tempted to go and zap her or something right about now," I snorted and waved at Laurie and Poppy, who were waiting for us by the doors to the courtyard. "Can you believe her?" Laurie glared after Evans. "She just told me to stop being annoyed at her for giving too much homework!"

"Yeah, and when I was walking with Nerina, she told her that comparing people to half-brained guppies would never get her anywhere in life!" Poppy said darkly. "She really just needs to go get a job somewhere else... maybe in Antarctica?" We laughed and sat down under an old oak tree. Poppy and Laurie instantly went into a nature-is-amazing conversation. Lotus and I started talking about the homework for healing 1. It felt absolutely amazing to have friends. Something that I had never had before.

"Did you guys hear about the latest attack?" Laurie said quietly a few minutes later. "They found a nymph completely paralyzed down by the river." We all sat in silence for a minute. "What do you think he hates so much about us?" Poppy said. "I mean, we never did anything to him, did we?" Everyone else shook their heads. We all sat deep in thought for a minute.

"I'm sick of this!" I said so loudly everyone else jumped. "If we don't do something, it'll be us next!" They all looked at me like I was crazy. "Ana... there's nothing we can do," Lotus said. "We're just a group of teenagers. We've been in school for a week!"

"But we're some pretty powerful teenagers," I said. An idea was forming in my mind. "Guys, meet me in the detention room tonight at the same time we ran into each other at the fight. Get everyone. Uki, Beni, Usuki, all of us. We need to make a plan."

//Poppy//

"A plan? How can we make a plan against Bartho? I mean, he's Bartho!" I ask Laurie as we walk down the steps to where we think Uki would be. "I mean, if Ana has a plan, then she's got a plan, right?" "Yeah, I guess." We jump down the final steps and sure enough, theres Uki, talking with some of the other fire creatures about homework. "Hey Poppy, Laurie. What's up?" Laurie and I look at each other and she raises her eyebrows. Guess I'm the one to explain. "You know how Evans is making us have detention for the rest of the week?" "Yeah," "Well, instead of blowing it off, which I'm guessing you were going to, Ana wants us all to be there." "What for? And how did you know I was gonna skip?" "Honestly, Uki, it's common knowledge. And she has some idea about Bartho, I dunno what about, but she wants us all to be there. If you see Beni or Usiku, tell them the same thing, alright?" He nods and turns around to continue talking with them, so Laurie and I walk back to the dorm halls. We turn a corner, about to reach the walkway to get to the dorms when we see a girl. She's about our age, and I know her from Advanced Botany, and she's been here as long as I have. "Willow?" I ask, gasping and leaning down. Laurie follows, she's known her for as long as I have. "Willow?" I repeat, shaking her. Checking her pulse wouldn't be any good, nymphs don't have a beating heart. I go through the tests that should determine that she's alive, but most are negative. "Bartho. It's the only explanation. She's been cut down, when she was in her natural form, most likely. He must have come and cut her down." "It's happening again, isn't it? For real, this time?" I nod. Laurie and I pick up her body and carry her to the main office, where they should deal with her. Finally we head towards the detention hall.

Good idea!

Ana~

I took a stepped into the detention room. Everyone was there, looking at me expectantly.

"Um, hi." I said nervously. "Um, thanks for coming. I know how busy everyone is..." I cleared my throat. "First thing. We're gonna need someone on guard. They'll be able to hear everything we say. They just need to make sure no one's coming." After a moment, Lauralie raised her hand. "Thanks, Lauralie," I said. She nodded and headed to the door.

"Okay, you all know why we're here." They all nodded. "It's getting worse. People are dropping like flies. I met with Principle Amberson...." A few people groaned. "And she said there's absolutely nothing we can do. That's where we come in." Now everyone just looked confused. "I say we take matters into our own hands."

Everyone stared at me. "Ana..." Beni said gently. "I know what you're thinking. It won't work. I mean, come on, a bunch of beginner magical creatures against the most powerful guy of all time? How's that gonna work?" Everyone else nodded. "I mean, it's not like we even know who he is," Uki piped up. "If we at least knew how he works..."

"That's what we're here for," I said. "We find out everything we can about him. Who he is, how he became Bartho, what he's trying to do. I bet there's a teacher here who knows something about him. Then we work on our powers. Make them as strong as we can. Then we track him down." Usiku gave a snort. "Sure, track him down. I'm sure he'll just put his hands up and surrender the minute her sees us."

Frustration began to bubble in my chest. "Look. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to spend the rest of my time here thinking, 'What if he gets me today? Or my friends? Then what?' I'm not trying to be brave or anything. I just want people to stop getting hurt. We've had about three attacks and it's only been a week. What will it be in a month? A term? A year?" Everyone was silent. "I'm not asking you guys to stay. But I can't do this by myself."

Everyone was quiet for a minute. "I'll stay," Lotus said finally. "Ana's right. It'll just get worse if someone doesn't do something soon."

"Me too," Nerina chimed in. "I mean, yeah we're teenagers, but like Ana said, we're powerful teenagers. I think we have a chance. It's about time he was turned into chopped seaweed!" I turned to Poppy, who hesitantly nodded. "It's a crazy idea, but it's a crazy idea that might work." Uki groaned. "Someone's gonna need to make sure you guys don't do anything stupid." Beni's nails slowly turned into claws. "I can't leave you guys alone. It's a risk, but I think it might be a risk worth taking." We finally turned to Usiku. "Usiku? Are you with us?"

He looked at his hands. "You know this is going to lead to disaster," he said quietly. "We'll all die if we do this. And it may all be for nothing." Beni nodded. "We know. But it may be worth something in the end. No matter what happens, we tried." "And you're one of the most powerful out of all of us," I added. Usiku took a deep breath and nodded. "I must be nuts, but yeah, I'll do it." We all cheered. "That's the spirit!" Uki yelled.

The door slammed, and we all spun around. Lauralie rushed in pale and wild eyed. "Evans!" she gasped. "She's coming right this way!"

After I volunteered to guard the door, I was half guarding and half listening. I was frightend at Ana's ide , but resolved to go along with it. I started to practice my skills. We instantly got into our typical detention set-up: fairies, pixies, and elves in the front row, everyone else in the second.  Luckily, I had been in the Silly Starfish Improv Troupe back home.  "So, Beni, don't be a sea urchin!" I told the half-werewolf sitting next to me, "Tell us who you like already!" She blushed.  Lotus tried not to laugh.

"Oh, like I don't know your plan," Miss Evans said, "Luckily, I'd like to help you."

I am writing this post as though most adult half-breeds can use mild amounts of ki energy shocks to some extent, alright?

//Sangua//

"But we can't just stand back and let him pick off students one by one!" I yelled.

I was in an abandoned classroom standing across from Mr. Darko.

"You sound like you did when we were students," he replied. "'We need to do something or all of us are going to die!'" he mocked.

That was it. I opened my hand and pointed it at him; a shock of ki energy burst out and hit him. He jumped back, going pale.

"We're not kids anymore, Darko. We are teachers. We are more powerful now than when we were at school and we are responsible for the safty of these students. The same things that happened then are happening now! We may have lost Harrow, and Mandy, but we did stop Entray from taking over the school," I took a deep breath, my voice was shaky, "We never expected its spirit to posess Bartho. He was our friend too. I think, that now we know how this creature operates, we- we might not only be able too stop it, but also..."

He finished my sentence for me, in a whispered tone, not looking at me but at the floor, "We could save Bartho."

"Yes. Bring him back to the light. Erase the evil spirit from him," I finished.

"We couldn't do it alone though," he sighed. "I'm sorry, but going against the headmistress's wishes, and to do something this extreme, would be very unwise."

"I see," I replied, my voice now shaking with anger, not fea., "I see, Mr. Darko would never disobey headmistress, oh no. You're her little right-hand man. Just waiting to do her bidding with bright eyes and an empty head!"

I yelled the last sentence while backing out of the door, and now I turned and stalked down the hall. My intention at the moment was to go out into the forest and take care of this matter myself. I had reached the hallway with the detention classroom and I sensed thought coming from within.

It was the group of troublemakers that I had given detention to my first week as a teacher, no wonder I coud hear their thought without looking into their eyes. Wait, they were going to take on Bartho! No, I couldn't let them do what I had done. Then they saw me and started to scramble to get away through the back door.

Then a shot of ki energy hit me in the back. I flew forwards and landed on my face, and another person pinned me down. The thoughts in the detention room turned back to me, in the hallway. They must be watching. I listened to find out who was on top of me. Darko. Darn it, I tended to get pinned face down by him quite a lot.

"What's this, Darko?" I asked.

"Never call me the right hand of the headmistress. I hate her, alright?"

"Then are you with me Darko?"

He paused,  then replied, "I'm not with you, but if you decide to go after Bartho, I won't stop you. I'll even cover for you. Just do me a favor and don't get killed."

He released me and I sat up. He didn't get up entirely for a few more moments either, and when he did he held out his hand to help me up. I took it and as he pulled me up, he pulled me towards him. I opened my mouth to ask him what he was doing, but before I could speak he planted a kiss on my cheek and turned see-through, drifting away through a wall quickly. I stood there with my mouth open for a few more seconds before I composed myself.

I turned to the detention room door and said, "Well are we going to plan this thing or what? Let's get Bartho!"

Ana~

How interesting. Darko had a crush on Evans. I wondered if there was any way I could make both their lives miserable. Looking at the smirks of eveyone else in the room, I had a feeling they were thinking the same thing.

"All right, you twirks. I do not like Darko, so if you ever think that again, I promise you will be in the medical wing with an overdose of ki energy." That wiped the smirks off all our faces. "I know you all think that I'm the worst teacher alive, but trust me, I want to get rid of him as much as you do. So we're gonna have to work together to do this."

"How do we know we can trust you?" Lotus said testily. "You're not exactly our favorite teacher, so to speak." Everyone else nodded.

"By this. When I was at school, I did the exact same thing you're all doing. It didn't work as well as we hoped, but it did stop Entray from taking over the school."

"Who?" I asked, confused.

"Entray. The man behind the man. The evil spirit behind Bartho. Bartho was a student here at one point. We were friends. Until he got possessed." Wow. I knew she was sort of on top of this stuff, but I didn't know that she knew everything about him. "Darko and I worked together when we were at school."

"Then why do you guys hate each othe at points?" Uki asked.

"Long story," she said, quickly changing the subject.  "You all are good kids, and I have a feeling that you'll do us some decent service. So don't screw this up. Keep your mouth shut. W meet here as much as possible. And we bring down Bartho. Simple. At our next meeting, we break into the library and get some off-limit books."

I was starting to like Evans.
