RP. So, I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

RP. So, I

RP. So, I have been onto a fantasy obsession lately, so I was thinking, why not start an RP? It's like a school for half-magical creature kids, and they go there to learn how to control their powers, and there's this bad guy, whose name I haven't thought of yet, who's trying to take over the world, and the kids have to stop him. Any magical creature. Leprechaun, fairy, whatever.  Sound good?

Name: Analee (means Grace in Elvish, and her elvish name is Eruanna, pronounced Air-oo-ahn-na) Sometimes goes by Ana for short

Creature: Well, duh, elf. And not Santa Clause elf. Tall, really pretty elf.

Age: 14 I guess

Appearence: long, auburn hair, amber eyes, tall, pale and really pretty

Personality: Quiet, shy and quick-thinking. Really smart and really nice. She didn't know until school that she was half elf. She lived with her human mom until then.

Powers: Healing. She can heal almost anything or anyone. She can shoot a bow and arrow really well too.

Nerina's actually 140, because of the way mermaids age.

Nerina ~

"Nerina, can you come downstairs?" my mom called up the stairs.

"In just a tailflick, Mom!" I called, draining the bathtub.  Aa I watched the water swirl down the drain, I switched my tail to legs.

I ran down the stairs.  "Mom, you okay?" I asked. "You look like a shark ate your best friend."

She laughed.  "I always loved the way you talk.  Honey, you know how you always felt weird on land?" I nodded.  "Well, this is Mr. Darko.  He's here to take you to a half-blood school, where you'll fit in."

It burnt like a welt from a stingray.  "You're tossing me away like algae?!" I screamed.

She just started to cry while the man escorted me away, along with the bag Mom had packed for me.

//Poplar//

Mr. Darko pulls into the driveway of the school and I open my door, grab my bags, and look up at the dark building. "Home at last," I mutter and pull my suitcase along with leaf covered pathway up to the steps. I maneuver through the halls until I reach my new boarding assignment, room 326C. I find it and open the door to find that another girl has already settled in. "Oh, hello," I say in surprise. So I guess Camellia did end up transfering out. "Hello, I am in the right spot?" the new girl asked, and oh my tree, she was tall. And pale. "No, I just didn't know that I had a new roommate. So, let me guess. Elf, new student, didn't know about your powers until a few hours ago?" She nods and sits down on her bed, and I drop my duffel in the desk chair. "Thought so. So, know what your powers are yet?" She nods 'no' and frowns. "Should I?" "No, most kids don't find out until a while, you'll find out soon." I start putting my clothes in a drawer when she asks, "So, what's your power?" I stop and move into the center of the room, looking at the fake plastic plants set in the room. "It would be easier if there was some dirt, but this will have to do." I reach into my suitcase and pull out a small evening primrose, grab some dirt from my pocket, and set it in the sun. "Watch closely..." I place my fist over the not yet budding flower. As my fist opens, so does the bud, until its petals are spread and its soft yellow color fills the window sill. "Guess what I am yet?" I ask and continue putting my clothes away. "Nature spirit?" "Yup. Dryad, poplar tree, to be exact. If we were outside you could see me in my natural form, but you will soon." She nods. "How did you know I was an elf?" "Oh, by how you look. There's tons of other elves here, so don't worry, you'll probably be in a special class with them to learn your powers, and I hear there's a pretty good archery course here, too." She nods and looks a bit more comfortable. "Don't worry, you'll love it here."

Beni-

When some kids are 14 they are excited about their first year of high school, not me, I'm suposed to be excited about another year of home school. Yay. The phone rang next to where my mother was eating in the kitchen. I was sitting in the living room.

"Beatrice honey, can you get the phone?" I groaned.

"I told you to call me Beni one, and two it's right next to you!" That's when she got all up in my face. Complaining about how I'm always complaining, how nothings ever good enough for me excetra. All for a stupid phone call. I got up and grabbed the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hello may I speak to Thomas Alton?" One of my dad's old work associates for sure. 3 years since the accident and we still get calls.

"He's dead."

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"Isn't everyone? Don't call back, bye." I hung up the phone while saddness found it's way into my heart. See the problem with my mom is that ever since my dad died she's stopped caring what I do, and she has a major drinking problem. Despite the fact that I can turn into a man-eating beast at will and sometimes can't control it she still ignores me. She's tried to home school me but that didn't exactly work out. So now I have a private tutor. It seriously stinks.

"Who was it?"

"Work person." My mom seemed to shrink. She get's that way whenever something reminds her of my dad.

"Oh Beatrice." It sounded like she was going to say something sentimental. Instead she fell asleep and started to snore.

"Love you too mom," I muttered sarcastically.

Thirty minutes later the doorbell rang. My mom jolted awake and looked out the window like she always does. She thinks that whoever it is is either there to sell us something, or to take me away. Ya, did I mention she's crazy?

"Beatrice, get down."

"Mom, don't start this-"

"I said now Beatrice!" I hid behind the couch and waited while she opened the door. A man stood there. He wore a dark suit and had slicked back blonde hair.

"Hello, I'm Mr. Darko. I'm an admissions director at The Academy Of Half Blood Creatures. May I come in?" I've never seen my mom so angry.

"You can't have her," she snapped.

"Miss Alton, this is not up for debate. Beatrice's father enrolled her when she was born. You have no choice in the matter. May I speak to her?"

"You can't have her," my mom repeated. I rolled my eyes. She was being irrational. This man wanted to take me to a school for- Half Blood Creatures? Ok, maybe she wasn't being as irrational as I thought.

"Please Miss Alton, really, don't be so irrational. You knew this had to happen."

"It's Mrs. Alton to you, and you can't have her." Mrs.? I stood up.

"I'm right here, what do you want?" I asked Mr. Darko. My mother looked ready to kill us both.

"I am here to take you to a school for people like you. People who are half creature, half human." My dad was a werewolf, therefore I'm half werewolf. I couldn't believe this guy knew.

"Um, why?"

"Because you are half werewolf. At this school you can be yourself and connect with others with, unique, heritage."

"You mean freaks?"

"Miss Alton--"

"Beni."

"Beni, you are not a freak. Now will you come?"

"Do I have a choice?"

"Well, no, not really, I mean--"

"No means no, I've got no choice, so I guess I'll go." I started walking to the door, and grabbed a fully packed suit case I had ready in case my mom really lost it. She looked hurt but what did I care?

"Bye mom."

"Good-bye Beatrice. Please, just, don't hurt anyone." I grinned and let my teeth morph into a mouth full of fangs.

"Now why would I do that?" I winked then walked out the door. My worried mother stood in the doorway of our broken down house watching with sad eyes as I left for a more positive future away from her.

Ok, so can someone tell me what's happened so far so I can respond? I don't really get the posts.

Nerina-

I was sulking in the bathroom when the girl came in.  As soon as we had gotten to the dorm, I had changed into a bathing suit, dumped salt into the tub, and gotten in.  I was as mad as an electric eel.  You don't tear me away from my family.  Darko had crossed the line.

"Hey, Mr. Darko said this was my room," a voice called out.

"In the bathroom," I called. "You can come in, though."

She didn't come in, so I decided to summon a seal to get her.  It waddled away barking.  She came in being nudged by a seal nose.  "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" she screamed.

"Oh, was that not a good idea?" I shrank down into the tub, "Sorry."

"So, I'm rooming with a mermaid," she muttered, "Every little girl's dream."

"So, I'm rooming with a human who acts like a cranky crab," I muttered back, "who has wings."

Her hands flew up to her back.  She blushed as the wings disappeared.  "That kind of happens."

"I think I'm going to like rooming with a fairy," I smiled.

"Pixie," she snarled.

"Well, Miss Pixie, I'm Nerina."

"Lotus."

Ana~

After a few more minutes of chitchat, I learned that my new roomates name was Poppy, that she was a vegatarian and that she had been here for three years. It was pretty hard not to love her.

"So, you wanna have the grand tour?" She asked after we had hung out for about an hour. "Sure. Why not?" I said, and followed her out of out room.

"Welcome to the Academy of Half Blooded Creatures, established in 1498." Poppy said in a smart-aleck-museum-tour-guide voice. "My name is Poplar, and I will be your tour guide this evening." We wandered around until we reached a long hall filled with paintings. "These are portraits of all our headmasters." She said. "This is our most recent one, Miss Amberson." She pointed to a picture of a beautiful lady with gossamer wings. "Fairy?" I asked. "Yup. And as tough as rock. You do not want to mess with her." Poppy said, giggling. "She will blast your head off. Or turned into a daisy. Literally."

After being shown where the bathrooms were, the corridor leading to the guys dorm, and some statue of a very fat-looking dwarf, we headed towards the main staircase. "All of our classrooms are down here." Poppy said, starting to go down. I followed. "We have about three classes a day, depending on who you... Watch out, Ana!"

Her warning came too late. I felt my body crash into a very solid body, and landed on my butt on a stair. I looked up just in time to see a guy land on the bottom of the saircase.

"Ohmygosh!" I yelled, and ran down the stairs towards the guy, who was curled up on the ground. "I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

A girl with brown hair with red streaks in it rushed up. "Does he look okay to you?" She dropped her suitcase and knelt down beside me. "What hurts?" Great. I hadn't been here for two hours, and I had almost killed someone.

"Arm...painful..." The boy moaned. He had black hair and tanned skin. The girl glared over at me. "Now what are you gonna do, Miss Wrecking Ball?"

An idea came to my head. "Stand back," I instructed the girl and Poppy, who had joined us. I took a deep breath and put my hand on the boys broken arm. "Just relax," I told him in a hopefully calm voice. It had been a while since I had done this. I closed my eyes, and focused on the broken bone. In my head, I went inside his arm, and slowly pieced the bone back together until it looked normal. Then I focused on the tissue coming back.

I opened my eyes and fell backwards. I could feel my breath come out shaky, and I was panting. The boy sat up and rubbed his arm. "It...it doesn't even hurt!" He bent it. It moved normally. "Wow," he and the girl and Poppy said at the same time. They were staring at me in awe. "Um, Ana? You okay?" Poppy said in a worried tone. "You're really pale. And sweaty."

"I'm fine." I panted. "Just...haven't done that...for awhile." The guy got up and helped me up. "Thanks for...um...healing my arm," he said. "It's Uki, by the way."

"And I'm Beni," the girl said in a much friendlier tone than last time. "That was pretty awesome...Ana." She straightened and shouldered her bag. "Well... guess I'll see you guys later." She headed up the stairs, and Uki followed.  Poppy was still staring at me. "Well Ana," she said, giving a smile, "it looks like you found your powers."

Uki~

"Are you new here as well?" I ask the girl who had just healed a broken arm in a few seconds.
She nods.
"It's... odd here," I remark. "I just found out my mom was a dragon... anyway, I'll see you around."
I sped up the stairs toward where they said my dorm is. I come in, and a blond guy is sitting on a bed staring into space.

"So you're the new guy," he states.

"Yeah," I reply, dropping my bag onto the bed opposite his.

"I wasn't asking you... what are you, part dragon?"

"How'd you guess?" I ask.

"Dragons are always the tall idiots who can't do anything themselves and assume that people know less than they do."

My eyes narrowed. "What are you then, a unicorn?" The words had come out of my mouth before I stop them. When I'd read the fantasy books I loved (on the sly, becausee my dad didn't allow them in the house especially when they involved dragons) I had always hated unicorns, because they were so... perfect.

He looks taken aback. "How do you know?" he asks.

"Oh..." I answer, "unicorns are always the fussy perfect dudes who think they're the Purpose of the Universe."

To my surprise, he laughs. "I'm Ceros," he says, extending a hand.

"Uki."

Beni-

After helping the boy, Uki I think it was, I left to go find my room. So that girl, Ana, could heal people? Crazy weird. And here I was thinking I was the only one... I found my room with some difficulty. 326D. I opened to door to find no one sitting there. Guess the untrustworthy ones don't get roommates. I unpacked my things and looked at my hands. I let the claws slide out and slashed a table. five lines were left inbedded in the wood. I frowned and put the claws away. I glanced at the schedule I'd been given. First was algebra. I swallowed hard. My first class ever in my life and it was math? Great.

Sorry I'm kinda brain dead right now.

~Lauralie

I sighed, contentedly. I was in the arms of my beloved grandmother. At least, to me I was in her arms. If you asked any old person, I was on a swing that was attached to a willow tree. Yes, to me, Nature was my grandmother.

Maybe that's because my mother is a woods fairy. She was born a woods fairy, but came to the human world to marry my father. They knew how dangerous it would be if for many people knew of this, so it has mostly been a  secret.

That changed , last year. Last year I was sent to a half blood school. A wakey place where we learn to control our powers. I can do matter transformations, (I can summon any bit of matter, or make it disappear) fly, and talk to animals. If any one asks of my school, I say that I go to a boarding school.

Today was my last day. Tommorrow I would go with Mr. Darko to the Acadamy of Half Blood Creatures. I hate being called a "creature." It makes me feel like an animal, which I'm not. I am a human. I can talk, think, understand human language. Animals can't do that! If only they call us magical creatures. Can't they understand that we have feelings! Anyway, where was I getting to?

Nutty, who was above me, let out a squirrel scream, (Chatter, chatter, squeeee) and fell onto my lap. He opened his eyes, ooking dazed, then scrambled up to my shoulder. I walked to the house to get ready for "boarding school."

The next day....

I rechecked my bag, half from nervouseness and half from excitment. I couldn't wait to see Poplar again. At least I could expect a familiar face. Unlike last year.

Vroomm...Squeeeeeee...........

Great, Darko was here. I dragged my bag down the stairs, ready to go.

He was there, in his usual black suit.  "Miss Johnson, good day. Are you ready?"

I said good-bye, promised to write,t o pull my grades up, to be nice, not to get in trouble, etc.,etc.

When I finally got away from all of it, we drove up, up to the half blood school.

LOL. I think its really funny that Nerina and Lotus are roomates, they're like complete opposites. Awesome idea, Melody. XD

Lotus~

After talking to the mermaid girl for a while, i find out that her name is Nerina, she uses a lot of weird but strangly accurate sea-related puns, and she has never been to a rock concert in her entire life. Not trying to sound like a clique girl, but... O. M. G.

"So, you wanna go explore?" I ask after a short but awkward silence. She nods enthusiastically. I roll my eyes at her peppiness, but let her lead the way out of the dorm. We pass a couple of boys with vampire teeth, and one of them whistles at Nerina. She blushes, but looks slightly offended at the boys. I turn around and move my hands in a quick magical gesture. Suddenly, the boy stiffens and falls down, totally frozen. I smirk, and Nerina giggles one tiny little giggle.

"That was mean, but he did look kinds funny." She says.

"It'll only last a few minutes," I say. We continue our self-guided tour. Before long we hear voices from down the hall, and go to check it out.

Ana~

Poppy helps me up the stairs. "Why didn't you tell me you could do that?" she asks excitedly. "That was way cool!" But I'm not really listening to her. A few thoughts are going through my head.

Thought #1- I had just broke a guy's flipping arm! Way to make an impression, Ana.

Thought #2- I just broke a guy's flipping arm and healed it! That was pretty awesome! How'd I do that?

Thought #3- Oh my gosh, I just healed a guy's flipping arm, and now everyone will think I'm a showoff! NOOOOO!!!

"Was I... being showoffy?" I muttered to Poppy. "No! I thought you took that with such... Grace."

"Yeah. Grace. Totally me. I never run into people and break ther arm," I snorted.

Haha! Y'know, Eruanna means grace in elvish!" she giggled.

"Hence my lovely name and personality," I mutter sarcastically. "Thanks for letting me know that, Poppy." But she doesn't respond. She let go of me and was rushing towards a girl who was walking down the hallway. "Laurie! You're back!" Obviously a girl from last year. They hug and chatter at 500 miles per hour about their summer and other stuff. I was just starting to feel like a wall, when Poppy turned towards me. "Laurie, this is my roomate Ana. Ana, this is Laurie. She's a wood elf."

"Hi!" she says shyly. "Nice to meet you." I smile back. Wow, she's pretty. I would kill for that hair. "You too," I say. It's obvious they want to gossip, so I say, "I'll see you back in our room, Poppy."

She nods, and they turn and go. I turn around, start to head towards my room, and for the second time that day, nearly crash into two exploring girls.

I searched the halls until I found my room, 326D. Cautiously, I opened the door. A girl who had red streaks in her black hair was sitting at one of the desks, her back toward me.

"Hello?" I said, softly.

The girl jumped and then turned around. "Who are you?" she said cautiously.

"I," I said, "am Lauralie Johnson. Please call me Laurie. I am also your roommate."

"Oh. In that case, I am Beni Alton."

We talked as I unpacked. I soon learned that she was half werewolf and that math was NOT her favorite subject. I even saw her in her werewolf form. Creepy, but cool.

After I finished unpacking, I decided to go and re-explore. I asked Beni if she wanted to come. "No thanks, I'd rather stay here for awhile," she said.

I walked down the halls, remembering last year. I felt at home here.

Suddenly a familiar figure was running toward me. Poppy! We hugged and chattered about our summers. I then noticed a tall girl with auburn hair and amber eyes, staring at us in a frendly, but wondering way.

"Who is she?"I asked.

Poppy understood who I was talking about. "Laurie, this is my roommate, Ana. Ana, this is Laurie. She's a wood elf."

"Hi!" I say shyly. "Nice to meet you." She smiled back at me. "You too," she says. She seems to sense that we wanted to be alone and says, "I'll see you back in our room, Poppy."

As she left, two girls come around the corner.
