RP. So, I

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

RP. So, I

RP. So, I have been onto a fantasy obsession lately, so I was thinking, why not start an RP? It's like a school for half-magical creature kids, and they go there to learn how to control their powers, and there's this bad guy, whose name I haven't thought of yet, who's trying to take over the world, and the kids have to stop him. Any magical creature. Leprechaun, fairy, whatever.  Sound good?

Name: Analee (means Grace in Elvish, and her elvish name is Eruanna, pronounced Air-oo-ahn-na) Sometimes goes by Ana for short

Creature: Well, duh, elf. And not Santa Clause elf. Tall, really pretty elf.

Age: 14 I guess

Appearence: long, auburn hair, amber eyes, tall, pale and really pretty

Personality: Quiet, shy and quick-thinking. Really smart and really nice. She didn't know until school that she was half elf. She lived with her human mom until then.

Powers: Healing. She can heal almost anything or anyone. She can shoot a bow and arrow really well too.

Nerina~

"So, Miss Fish over here floods the front room of the library so there will be no librarians guarding them.  Then, I punch a few cameras.  We have a minute to get books after that.  Flyers, get books from top shelves.  Others help me get books from low shelves.  Poppy and Ana, help Nerina distract the librarians," Miss Evans read, "and for this mission, call everyone by their first initial.  For example, I will be Agent S."

Lotus snorted.  "Hey, let me live out my childhood spy fantasies," Miss Evans said mischievously. "We start at three."

At three o'clock, Lotus and I met Poplar, Lauralie, and Ana right outside the library.  "So, I need a new book for that water history book," I said as I was walking in. "Can you guys help me find one as amazing as a seahorse ride?"  Poplar and Ana nodded.  "Sorry, I have book club with Miss Evans in the back," Lotus replied.

"I said I'd go with her," Lauralie said.

"Oh, don't be puffer fish!" I pouted.

Ana directed me to a shelf in the 'W' section."Let's start here."

After a minute or so, I said, "These are all boring. I'm going to get the librarian to help." I walked over to the librarian's desk, the whole time wondering how in the ocean I was supposed flood the place.  Then I remembered what happened during my last swim meet.  Luckily, I could easily explain what had happened now.  It was harder than wrestling a sea lion to explain it last time.

"Excuse me, Miss..." I glanced at her name tag.  It read "Miss Gideon, Gorgon".  "Gideon.  I need help finding a book on . . ." Now I sneezed.  When I sneezed, I flicked my wrist.   Instantly, the room filled with salt water.  I could have filled it with fresh water, but I figured salt water would be even more of a pain.  Instantly, I could feel my power draining.  I stopped the flood before I could become dehydrated.  It was up to Miss Gorgon, I mean Gideon's, what are they called?  Her tail joint?  Knees.  Right.

"I'm so sorry, miss.  I can't control my powers much yet," I told her.  Her eyes sparked up and her dreadlocks wiggled like eels.  Just as I started feeling stiff, her hair grew limp.  "Sorry, I get the same way sometimes," she replied.  When she shook my hand, I could move again.  "Now, let's clean this up!" she said cheerfully.  She pushed in a button next to her desk.

An announcement calling all library staff and a janitor to the library rang out.

I was beginning to like Evans, I mean, she was letting us get off limit books in the library and she knows a whole lot of cool stuff about Bartho, and maybe even Darko! After our detention/meeting, Ana and I walked back to our dorm room. "How do you feel about all this? You know, the Bartho stuff?" she asked me. "I dunno. I mean, nature spirits are supposed to love everyone and everything, yada yada yada, and whenever any cool stuff happens at school we're just told to go garden or something, so it's a nice change. But I do think it's a bit crazy." "You'll help out, though, right?" "Of course I willl. I mean, I'm not going to let you guys get killed or something. And I want to make sure that it's all nature friendly. I mean, you won't be cutting down any forests or anything, right?" Ana shakes her head and laughs, and we walk up to our dorm. Instead of locks to open the doors, you have to open it with your powers, so she places her hand on the door and mutters some stuff in Elvish, and I wrap a vine around the handle to open it. We walk into the room and get ready for bed, turning the lights out at exactly 9:45. I close my eyes and suddenly I'm in a dark room. "Hello? Hello, is anyone here?" A deep laugh comes from below the floorboards, echoing throughout the small room. "You foolish children, think you can stand a chance against me? Ha! You'll be dead by morning, all of you, just wait." "No, please! Can't we negotiate it something? Maybe by Friday? I mean, that's what, three days? We'll be dead soon, we just need to, you know, plan our deaths? I mean, who wants to die a foolish death, honestly? So, Friday, weird mister voice man?" It's silent for a while. "Fine! Friday it is. But don't expect any mercy." My body falls through the floor and I scream, waking up immediatly. "Poppy! Poppy, what is it?!" Ana sits up and bumps her head on the ceiling, her hair in a frizzled mess. "Bartho. He came to me, in a dream," I pant, still stuck in that musty room. "We're dead. By Friday. We need to plan, everyone. Or we won't be alive to take that Advanced Botany test next week."

Ana~

As Nerina handled the librarian, Poppy and I slowly backed out of the rooms and scurried to find the others. "I hope this works." Poppy mumbled. I nodded, and we quickly tracked down Evans (No, Agent S, actually) and everyone else. "Good job, you two." She said. "We need to make sure they're distracted for at least 15 minutes." Lotus was mumbling something under her breath, making all the illigal books float towards us. Usiku was speed reading the covers, trying to find some with useful information. All the ones he thought might be, he handed to Uki, who skimmed the chapters. I looked at the B section, in hopes of finding a cover with Bartho on the front. No such luck.

Poppy's nightmare drifted to my mind. What if he was right? What if he was going to hunt us all down? What if...

"They cleared the water!" Nerina's voice sounded desperate. "The guards are on their way back!" Agent S looked panic stricken. "We need more time!" An idea came to mind. "Nerina?" I siad slowly. "How would you feel if I dislocated your shoulder in fromt of them?"

"WHAT?" She yelled. "You're as crazy as a pufferfish! No!" I bit my lip. "We have to. And I'll fix it!" She sighed and slowly nodded. "Fine. But this better not hurt too bad." I turned to Usiku. "You need top come with us. For theatrical reasons." He looked confused. "O-okay."

We ran out straight in front of the guards and I started to yell at her. "No! He's my boyfriend!" Usiku went as red as an apple. I reminded myself to fix a limb next time he broke one in payment for this embarrassment. "Keep your hands off him, you two-faced wrench!" Nerina was surprisingly a good actress. "Oh yeah? Well he likes me better!" Poor Usiku tried to act calming. "Girls! Can we talk about this?" I glowered at Nerina. "No!" With all my force, I bodychecked her. "Oww!" She yelled. The guards started yelling at me, and I knelt down like I was going to say something mean to her. Instead, I quickly out her shoulder back in place.

I really hoped we had been convincing enough to give the others time.

Guys, I am SO sorry. This might seem like a really really lame excuse, but I didn't know this thread was still alive *facepalm* That and I was working on a Suzan Sto Helit thingy for class, so you can blame Terry Pratchett if you want. Then again, he's awesomer than me. SO, go ahead and blame me.

Uki~
I head back to the dormitory, overwheimed with what had happened throughout the last few days. As I collapse on the bed, Ceros peers up from a book he's reading. The title reads, An Introduction to Sparkles.

"That's what you study in class, huh?" I ask, but without the cruelty that I'd felt before.

He smiles, but weakly. "Have you heard about, you know... all the attacks?"

I nod, trying hard not to betray anything. Please say unicorns don't read minds, please say unicorns don't read minds...

"Are you going to do anything about it?"

I jump. They do read minds!? "N-no!" I reply quickly.

"Because I am. I'm not going to let anything happen any longer. Bartho has been around for too long." In response to my questioning look, he adds, "The rainbows teacher told me."

I feel a bit guilty not telling him when he told me, and told him the whole story. He gives me one of his searching stares, finally saying, "Cool." He turns over and doesn't talk any longer.

It takes me a while to get to sleeep, but finally, my eyes close and my breathing steadied. Yet my dreams are uneasy, knowing that somewhere, Bartho is watching me.

~~~
It happened right before the first class of the day: Self-Defense. It was one of my favorites, too. As I ascended the tall stairway where Eruanna had knocked me over that first fateful day, I see a boy sprawled at the top.
I scramble up in terror to get a closer look, and bump into Nerina the mermaid who talks funny. "Why the rush?" she asks. "Shark after you?"
Too freaked out to speak, I point a shaking finger to the body of Ceros, sprawled on the floor.  ~~~
It's not much, but I'll post more from now on.
~Lauralie
At dention, I'm sure that if Poppy was a ghost who disappeared when frightened, she wouldn't be alive. She was shaking so much, she might have made a major earthquake! She pretty much shut up during classes ,only talking to the teachers, and that quickly and nervously.
When we filed in, Miss Evans, too, Poppy started to blurt out the whole story. "Last night, I went to sleep in my room, with Ana. In my sleep, I dreamed that I had woke up in a pitch black room. Then a deep voice comes and starts to make fun of us for going against him." She paused, panting.
"Bartho!"everyone gasped. I went pale.
She nodded. "He said that we would be dead by morning. After I pleaded with him, he aggereed to Friday. We have to do something, fast!"
"Let's still go to the library. We might as well learn what Bartho is like and stuff," said Usuki.
We all agreed.
Ana~
After the embarrassing moment with Usiku and Nerina, we finally got the books and luckily got out of the library without a double detention. Evans said she would dig through the books to see what she could find, and for a while, I felt like nothing could happen.
Boy was I wrong.
Firstly, our meetings were basically a disaster. None of us had really mastered our powers yet, so there was a lot of blowing things up and catching people's hair on fire. Evans tried to keep our moral up, but it wasn't really working.
Then the worst happened.
I was walking to my class with Poppy. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a yell came out, and the worst thing was, it sounded like Uki. My first thought was, No! He's been attacked! I ran as fast as I could towards the scream. Luckily, Uki wasn't lying dead in front of us. Only the second worst thing.
His roomate was lying there instead.
"Get a teacher!" I yelled. Nerina ran as fast as she could towards the nearest classroom. Uki looked ready to throw up. "Do something Ana!" he begged. I knelt down as listened for a heartbeat.
Nothing.
"I'm sorry Uki," I whispered. "There's nothing I can do." He stared at his roomate for a moment, and then suddenly let out a huge column of fire. I ducked to avoid it. He then let out an anguished yell and collapsed on his knees. A teacher rushed out behind Nerina and knelt beside Uki. "We'll take him to the medical wing. There's still a chance, Uki." A slim chance, but a chance. Uki was still covering his hands with his face.
"Try talking to him, Ana," the teacher said as she scooped up Ceros. "See if you can comfort him." "But... what do I say?" "Whatever you can." She gave me an encouraging look and rushed off to the medical wing.
I knelt down beside Uki and slowly helped him up. "C'mon. Let's get you some water or something."  Poppy gave me an encouraging nod and ran off to see if she could help Ceros.
I led Uki to the nearest, quietest water fountain and got him a glass of water. After he drank, he covered his hands with his face. "It's all my fault," he murmured. "Bartho targeted him because he knew I was plotting against him. If I hadn't..."
"It's not your fault," I said quietly. "He could have targeted him anyway. There was nothing you could have done, Uki." He only moaned and sniffed. "Look, I understand if you want to back down from the group, but we really need you." He didn't answer. "Fine. I understand." I felt dissapointment crash over me.
"No," he finally said, lifting his head. "This just makes me want to kill him even more. For Ceros. We need to get him soon." I nodded. "Are you sure?" "Yes." I offered my hand and he grabbed it to help him up. "Let's go, Ana. We have a murderer to kill."
Hey guys, I did a digital drawing of Sangua!
//Sangua//
Dang, they wanted to kill him.
I'd never tried to convince a room full of angry teenagers not to kill the person who just murdered their friend when they have been plotting against the said murderer for a month, and I wasn't too happy about having to do just that.
"Okay guys, here's the deal. Bartho, beore that deamon soul posessed him, was my friend.  And I feel that there is still a chance to save him."
"What?" they all shouted in unison.
Better reaction than I thought. But creepy that it was in unison. Oh, some of them were just thinking it because the others said it.
"We can't do that, if we make him come back with us there is the chance that he might turn into a demon again," said Nerina.
"Wow, you didn't relate that to the ocean!" said Beni.
I grabbed a book off the pile on my desk and opened it to my marker.
"There's a page in here about demon souls. I think that's what this is. It travels through bodies when the posessed body scratches or bites a new body. It kills simply by touching the victim and looking into its eyes. It could even be a light brush and a glance out of the corner of an eye. This thing is deadly.
"It doesn't say, but I think that if the soul posesses a new body, the other body will survive. So if we can get it to posess one of us, we can save him."
They looked at me as if I was crazy. I probably was.
Usiku bent down to read out of the book, "When the soul is posessing the new body, there is a small space of time when the victim retains their right mind. In this time, if the victim bites or scratches an inanimate object, the soul will be transferred to the object and the victim can be saved. The demon soul can then be destroyed by burning with a fire infused with ki energy."
He looked up at me.
"Exactly!" I say, "It also says that the demon will try to kill more people that knew the person it's posessing, making me the perfect candidate to be bitten! And you can be in charge of that ki fire."
I might have said that a little too enthusiastically but oh well. At least I got them to agree. I could hear their thoughts agreeing with me, and one by one they slowly nodded.
I think that it is a little strange that Usiku is a half-demon and the evil spirit is a demon spirit... Actually, now that I think about it, the demon spirit could be related to Usiku in some way...
@Gigi- I'M MAGICAL! No, actually I used a website. Google "pixlr" and use the I'm feeling lucky button. Open photo editor. :D
@Blue Moon- In my mind demon spirits are like a magical virus, not at all related to demons. Just both associated with the same magics I guess? Oh! And I was messing around with google translate the other day and ran across the word night in Swahili. ;))))))))
I usually just translate random words with dictionary.com and see if they work:)
I was thinking that the demon spirit could try to possess Usiku or something, but since Usiku is a demon, they merge or he overwhelms the spirit and becomes stronger... just random thoughts floating around in my head. I do think that it might make a good plot twist though. Then we could carry on the story according to whatever happens.
