Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

The A.B.S.U.R.D.

The A.B.S.U.R.D.

Thank you for clicking on this thread. This is the Amusing Baby Sitting Unsafe Ridiculous Daycare. You have been invited to join an adventure in which normal people like you will go on an adventure involving babies, danger, diapers, and one Best Caretaker Of Them All. You will be assigned a baby and you will have to ensure that he or she stays safe throughout your dangerous mission. The most responsible person will win a prize and go down in the CB Hall Of Fame as the first Best Caretaker Of Them All. I am The Headmistress, who is always watching you through her big screen TV and high-quality cameras with a bottle of soda in her hand. Anyway, here are the rules:

-You MUST like babies and obsess over how adorable they are.

-If you are afraid of diapers, do not fear, they will be the least of your worries. *cackles*

-Pack whatever you want and think is necessary.

-All people will have their names picked out of the Decisive Diaper. The first person I pick will be The Best Caretaker of Them All.

-No Alter Egos. They don't sound very responsible anyway.

-I don't know how often I'll be able to update, but I promise at least once a week.

I believe that is all. If you have any questions, just ask. This begins on March 21st, so hurry!!

                                                                                        Signed,

The Headmistress of A.B.S.U.R.D.

P.S. Be prepared for weirdness and messes.

P.P.S. If you guess who I am, that's fine. It won't make any difference to the story.

P.P.P.S. I'm sorry, but if you join in the middle it might make things really confusing, and you won't have a chance of being the winner.

P.P.P.P.S. Are you still here? Sign up already!!

Let's just say that you are very lucky. I am free today and I saw this and now I am half crying out of joy and half hugging you all to death. I wuv you....*hugs* Here is your reward!!

Day 4~

"Well, Lep," Brookeira said. "What should we do?" "Actually, there is nothing you can do." All the girls stared at the leprechaun as though he was out of his mind. "Are you kidding me?" Carolion asked, gawking. "Yeah, this HAS to be a joke," Horse Spirit Girl agreed. "Nope, I'm not kidding. That hole is gone, and your friend is gone with it," Lep said, seriously. The girls immediately turned around and sure enough, there was nothing but grass where the hole once was. "Oh no," Nora said. "There goes one more of our friends...." Everyone sighed. "Oh, well, let's get going, anyways." Savvy said, breaking the silence. "Lep, do you know where we should be heading?" Young Writer asked. "Hmm, I can't go with you, because I am too young, but I can tell you that if you walk far enough, you will exit this safe place, and enter.........The Valley of Doom." "What is that?" T.H.E asked, curiously. "It is a dark and gloomy place, where many dangers lurk, and no one has ever come out of it alive," Lep answered. "An adventure at last!! LET'S GO!!" Young Writer yelled. "No way!" Nora said. "It sounds too-" "Scary?" Nora was cut off by Young Writer. "What, we will have so much to write back home about!!" YW protested. "Nope," Joss said firmly. But, before any of them could say anything, YW was running away, and her baby was gurgling with glee. "Run after her!!" Savvy shouted unnecessarily. Everyone was already running, and as they kept going, they noticed the valley growing darker, as though the sun was going down. Finally, out of breath, they tumbled to a stop, breathing heavily. The first thing they noticed was the fog. There was fog everywhere, constantly moving. It was dark, and they thought they could see shadows moving about. They instinctively moved closer to each other, and one of the babies began to whimper. "Shhh," Nora hushed. "We have to continue," she whispered. "Who knows where she is by now?" The small party trudged on, through the gloomy valley. They huddled close, and now and then stopped to quiet a crying baby, or to drink some water. Suddenly, they heard a girl's scream, and running, they were just in time to catch a glimpse of Young Writer being snatched by something shadowy, and then disappearing.

Ok, wow... I thought I had missed the deadline, and after I posted that comment, I just forgot about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you for still letting me join! I guess I have to make my baby... sorry about that... anyways, I would just like to say-you are an AMAZING writer!!! I would never had been able to come up with this stuff! Cricket should publish this as a short story, that would be AWESOME!!! Admin, could you try and publish it as a short story? PLEASE?!?!? Thanks!! Anyways, my babie's name is Exra and she is an ADORABLE baby girl who loves to sing and was adopted from Africa and she has the ADORABLEST voice. And when she's happy she smiles and scrunches up her face and giggles adorably. Her eyes are the cutest feature she has, and they brown. And adorable. I can't even describe them, I can't find words to. Actually, this is a real baby girl that I know in real life and she's exactly like this. I'm sorta like an older sister to her, but then her family moved away. It was so sad when I visited them because she didn't want to let me go back!

Because I am a very very nice person, I decided that you could join anyway, and continued including you in my stories just in case you happened to see them. And thank you thank you thank you for complimenting my writing!!! I was just thinking that no one cared, when I read this. TTTHHHAAAANNNNKK YYYOOOOUUUU!!! I think it would be awesome if Cricket really was a reader-contribute magazine, and if the Admins added my story, haha. Thanks for a new daydream idea. ^_^ Anyways, thanks to you, I am going to update without dawdling!! You are officially one of my fave people from now on. =)

Day 5~
"RUN!!" Joss yelled, and they began to make a mad dash for the shadow. They followed it, their babies shouting with glee at the speed, not realizing the danger. As they ran, keeping their eyes on the shadowy form of YW being dragged away, they abruptly entered a cave. They all halted, and began to survey their surroundings, momentarily forgetting about YW. The cave had a very gloomy appearance, and faint laughs could be heard, and the farther they walked into it, the scarier it got. "This.......is creepy," Nora said, shuddering. "Yeah, I agree--" Carolion was cut off by a shrill scream, and suddenly, the cave was glowing with orange light. They turned around, and they saw a terrible scene. Young Writer was in a cage that was dangling above an enormous fire, and next to her, there was another cage, and it had Somebody in it. All around them, shadows were making evil faces, and despite the fire, the room was chilly.  The girls stood, shocked, and clutching their babies tighter. They had all supposed that when Somebody had gone down the hole, she had been transported to headquarters. Apparently, she had been stolen by a shadow to this cave instead. The trapped girls were grabbing their babies for dear life, as they swung precariously over the bonfire. They were gagged, and although their hands were free, their feet were tied to the bars. "How.....did this happen?" T.H.E. asked, quietly. "I don't know," Horse Spirit Girl replied. "What are we going to do?" Carolion asked, worriedly. "Perhaps we can talk to the shadows.......?" T.H.E. suggested uneasily.  "Oh ho ho, talk to me, eh?" a voice boomed through the cave, causing the girls to jump, and one of the babies whimpered. "I am the Shadow King, and I will SACRIFICE these invaders of the Valley of Doom!!" "NOO!!!" T.H.E. yelled. "YOU CAN NOT DO THAT TO MY FRIENDS, YOU-YOU-TYRANT!!" "Yeah!!" the girls chimed in. "Tell us, is there ANYTHING we can do?" "Hmm, perhaps, if one of your friends decided to sacrifice themselves in place of these two..........*evil laugh*" "I'll do it!!" T.H.E. said decidedly, breaking the silence. "No!!" Savvy said, grabbing T.H.E.''s arm. "You can't!! We'll lose you too!" As if sensing the desperation, the babies began to cry. "It doesn't matter. I have to do this. For my friends." And with that, T.H.E ran forward, vaulting over the edge of the fire. Everything was a blur that happened next. T.H.E., Somebody, and YW were gone, the fire melted away before their eyes, and they found themselves standing--

Oh, I'm so sorry!! I just saw this now. Hmm....I've got time, so here it is!

Day 6~

Where was I? Oh, yes. The fire melted away before the CBers' eyes, and they found themselves standing--nowhere. Yes, you read that correctly, nowhere. I'm quite sure no one knows what nowhere looks like, so if you were wondering, just ask no one. What's that you say? Ah yes, I am no one. Well, it was like they were standing in midair, with nothing beneath them, nothing above them, and nothing to the right and left. Now you are probably wondering what nothing looks like. The fact is, I can't tell you. It is top-secret classified information, and if I told you, you might leak the recipe to some scientists who would do a great amount of nonsense experiments on it, and that would make it too common to be interesting. So, use your imagination! Now, back to the story. "Where are we?" Horse Spirit Girl asked. "I don't know, but look! I'M FLOATING IN MIDAIR!" Brooke said excitedly. "How is this even possible?" Carolion asked. "Who cares how it's possible? LET'S JUST ENJOY IT WHILE WE CAAAN!!" Brooke yelled, tossing her baby into the air. "What I'm wondering is what we are supposed to do here?" Nora said thoughtfully. "What CAN you do in the middle of nowhere, standing on nothing, with no one around?" Joss replied."Well....you've got a point. We've got to get out of here, though! We've got a mission to complete, remember?" Nora said. "Let's start walking," Savvy said. "Maybe we'll come upon a door of something." So, for the hundredth time in this story, the girls began walking. On nothing. If you had seen them, you would've thought they were gliding, because that's the way nothing works. It's very, very, smooth. The girls walked for a long, long, time. Their legs began to grow weary, and the babies were fussing. At last, Horse Spirit Girl said,"Guys, we need to rest. It's not going to help if we exhaust ourselves and then pass out. I think if we can walk here, we can sit too." So, the girls slowly, cautiously...sat down. BOOOMMMMM!!! There was a terible noise. When they opened their eyes, Brooke was missing.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

There you go, people!! I missed doing this, actually. Enjoy!! And, as a sidenote, this day is dedicated to Horse Spirit Girl, for her wonderful encouragement!! She persuaded me to start again, and here you are!
