Art Contest Round 3!

I know, Round 2 hasn't completely finished. But some of the contests are already over, so I thought, why not make another one?

The categories:

Drawing (With color)

Sketch

Painting

Modeling

Repertoire (Something made long ago)

Paper cutting/Orgami

So it's first come, first serve for whoever wants to judge. The judge decides if there's going to be a category, if there's going to be a deadline, if you can enter more than one entry, et cetera.

Also, I think you can post videos, as long as there are no people in it, so we might be able to add another category, Music. You could just cover up the camera while you sing/play.

Admin, can we post videos with sound, as long as there are no people in it?

Aww, the cat left. Oh well.

@Katydid- My entry won't submit, because my iPad won't finish loading it. I'm going to try again tomorrow, but if I'm not able to post mine, I wanted you to know why.

Here's my entry and description for drawing.

It's a Candyland! (Not copied from the board game) It featured a peppermint flower, popcorn stalks, a licorice puff plant, a lollipop forest, some ice cream trees, and a random gummy worm named Fred.

I enjoyed drawing this! Here goes:

I first drew out this nighttime fairyland in both pencil and colored pencil. I had a huge, looming base of a tree in the back, with a mini-waterfall over to the right gushing with sparkly, white water. Down to the bottom left sits a cute little toadstool house for a fairy. Behind this is a fairy-light tree, much smaller than the one in the back. Flying up by the round, yellow moon flutter three fairies, colored pink, green, and orange.

Crossing through the center of our view are two plants. One is a sort of swirly tendril, the other a vine with a pretty purple flower growing on it.

I layered the purple sky thick with colors. Crayon, colored pencil, marker, I added lots and lots of shades and hues of blue, purple, and black. If you look closely, you can see the texture.

The water also received much attention and color. A blend and mixture of crayon and pencil too, blue, green, and even grey was sneaked into its many shades.

I clothed the trees and waterfall in marker and dressed the grass in green. The grass received coating after coating of yellow, and of course, green! I decorated the fairy-pool with various, simple stones.

And finally, the glitter.

With countless tissues and glitter glue, I managed to use Kleenex to smear silver glitter glue over the surface of my picture to enhance the magic look. It took lots of trial and error, but the picture looks completely finished now that it is glazed in fairy dust. I'm pretty sure I am the first person to have done this, and I enjoyed the experience.
