Art Contest Round

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Art Contest Round

Art Contest Round 3!

I know, Round 2 hasn't completely finished. But some of the contests are already over, so I thought, why not make another one?

The categories:

Drawing (With color)

Sketch

Painting

Modeling

Repertoire (Something made long ago)

Paper cutting/Orgami

So it's first come, first serve for whoever wants to judge. The judge decides if there's going to be a category, if there's going to be a deadline, if you can enter more than one entry, et cetera.

Also, I think you can post videos, as long as there are no people in it, so we might be able to add another category, Music. You could just cover up the camera while you sing/play.

Admin, can we post videos with sound, as long as there are no people in it?

Also, fill out this form:

Name:

Categories I want to judge:

Categories I want to enter:

And here is mine:

Name: It varies.

Categories I want to judge: Repertoire

Categories I want to enter: Paper cutting/ Origami, Music if Admin allows, Sketch, Drawing if I have time, and Modeling if I have time.

Chatterbox does not post videos at the present time. Only still pictures. Sorry.

If it's not too late, this is my entry for Repertoire. I painted it in third or fourth grade.

@ Athena:

Never mind, I don't want to enter Sketch. I have no idea of what to draw, and can't find the motivation to draw animals, as I am horrible at drawing them.

Two things:

One, I think the Clouded Leopard forgot that she was judging Paper Cutting/Origami. I'll go make a reminder for her.

Two, I have a request for the next contest. Can the next Sketch contest be fashion? I want more experience drawing clothes.

Shoes, shoes, shoes...

I'm so sorry. My WiFi died on me on vacation, so I couldn't judge. Mostly, I was waiting for Scylla, but she never turned hers in.

So.

~~

In Third Place...

Athena!

I very much enjoyed the frills you made along the outside, as well as the flowers growing within. It made the whole scene look very much like a pristine garden, one with a picket fence around it and tulips growing within.

In Second Place...

Butterfly!

I love the lilies you made here. I've never been great at origami, but I still love seeing it. The perfect precision you used to make each lily as straight and sharp as possible added a lot to the chemistry. The colors were pretty too, it reminded me of a glistening pond with lilies floating lazily around the crystal surface.

And in First Place...

Qiu!

The intricacy and detail of this spring snowflake was amazing. I appreciate how hard you worked on this piece to make all the little details fit in, but it was worth it. At first glance, it just seems like a regular cut-and-fold snowflake, but the flowers and elegant bridges on it make it something more. You totally deserve first place! Congratulations!

Here are the Repertoire results!
First place: Amber!
For such a young age, that dragon is talented art! You obviously worked hard on it, and I can hardly believe that a fourth grader can be that neat. Congratulations!
Second place: Scylla!
I absolutely adore cherry blossom trees, and even if it isn't one, it's still good! A third/fourth grade needs skill to paint those branches like that, blossoming outwards, and, at the same time, swaying in the wind. I also love the different shades of pink for the little, tiny flowers.
Third place: Horse Spirit Girl!
Again, this was really hard to decide. Butterfly's had those little, tiny people, and the earth was pretty, and I love the theme, but HSG's was really creative. Paper-mache! And wire! Ingenious! I never would have thought of that! So, it goes to you, Horse Spirit Girl.

OhmyFirestar!

Thank you so much! Probably the reason it is so neat is because all I drew back then was dragons (occasionally foxes) day in, day out.

Scylla, do you want to make the next Art Contest now? Ans take out Modeling, I don't think that anyone is going to enter it. Keep the Paper Cutting/Origami one, though!
