Tired and sleepy,

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Tired and sleepy,

Tired and sleepy, you hop in to bed. Everything is perfect. Your favorite book (you just found it), some tea, and a hot waterbottle. What could be better on a wet, stormy night? You begin to realize your bed feels wet. Unaturally wet. Screaming, you discover that the whole bed has been spread with slime. And in that slime, there is a note.

Dearest CBer,

You are invited to the first and last voyage on the RMS Hamilton. We will be sailing across the ocean on a three week trip to France, where you will then get to buy a baguette, and go to the eiffel tower. RSVP in the old vingear bottle in the back of your cupboard.

- the captain

Unsure of what to do, you decide to sleep on it. Under the bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I, Captain Oddball, wish for you to come on the RMS Hamilton's maiden voyage. CBers, AE's and Captchas are welcome. Please note that we will start out in the Seafare Hotel, after which we will board the ship. As mentioned in the note, we will be sailing to france, where we will then proceed to take a tour, ending up at the Marquis de Lafeyette's house.
Writer's Note
If you wish to join, please note what you will be bringing with you, and also if you would like a just in case cage for your CAPTCHA or AE. (Or both.)
There will be only twenty people allowed to join. Feel free to also make note of any Hamilton song you would like to be played, or a favorite character.
If you do not like Hamilton, we have one non-Hamilton room. It is also heavily sound proof.
As this is the maiden voyage, nothing is expected to go wrong.
Thank you, and please join!l
(There will also be a murderer, as there usually is with these things. And anybody who can guess who I am gets a raspberry or blueberry danish.)
Sorry I kind of abandoned this, I went to guess where again. (Guess.)
Day 10 (part 2)
Arwen regained consciousness at last. She was removed from her cell, into a prison splattered with blood. She was served cold liver soup that was almost inedible. And her fainting had taken it's toll. She now suffered from a demon headache. And there was nothing to do but wait.
Within a few hours, Arwen knew Rosebud was dead almost immediately. Icy, while being forced to torture Arwen, told her the whole story. Millimeters of her ice powers were being drained from her body to make a gel substance that would turn people into a bubble. She had been forced to watch Rosebud die on a security camera that watched over the whole ship. And Arwen was next. But she wouldn't be killed in the same way. Icy had told her she would try to help Arwen escape.
The plan was to knock out the murderer, run through the ship, and get to safety where the murderer would be revealed.
The only question was, would it work?
Day 10 (part 3)
Escape was sure to come soon. Arwen had a big stick. Icy had a dagger. What could go wrong? Everything. And it did.
The second the murderer came in the room, Icy threw her dagger. It missed. The murderer ecame aware of the plan and a loud fight ensued. (Thankfully for the murderer, AE's were blasting No More John Trumbull.) The murderer swung a double bladed sword, while Arwen blocke it with her walnut club. Icy tackled the murderer from behind, and instead ended up getting smashed against the wall. The murderer drew a flamethrower from inside their cloak. Arwen swung with her club, which found it's mark-only to find that the mark was Icy. The murderer laughed and withdrew a small time bomb. Then they locked Icy and Arwen inside to await their doom. (Coincidentely, the AE's has switched to The World Was Wide Enough) The bomb lay beeping one the floor, and omnious tick of their doom. Arwen examined the room. Iron walls, Obsidian Floors, and a bunch of complicated catwalks, lifts, gears, saws, and tunnels. Their best bet was to move towards the wall-they only had thirty seconds to move! Arwen grabbed Icy, adrealine coursing through her bonemarrow, ran and moved the grenade, then ran to the wall. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. I don't want to die. I don't want to die. 4. 3. 2. No!! 1.
KA-BOOM!
The grenade exploded the door, and knocked Arwen back against  the wall. Hard. Icy was aroused by the loud noise. "Arwen? Are you okay? What happened? Oh my Irene, oh my IRENE!" Arwen groaned, and her eyelashes fluttered. She was stirring. But something was wrong. Her craziness, and her love for Zeon- all her AE charcteristics- were ebbing. Words were begining to flow from her skin. Icy picked up Arwen and ran through the door- she had to get to safety before it was too late. She ran and ran. Up the stairs.  Down this corridor. Left- Right- Left-Up- The dining hall. The other CBers were all in the middle of lunch, mourning Icy, Jarnen, Arwen and Rosebud when Icy came running in. They gently pried Arwen from her frozen arms. And then everything faded.
A voice rang out in the darkness. "Well, Icy. So you've escaped. Fortunately I have slipped a microchip in your food. You will not remember anything once you return. Only that Rosebud and Arwen are both going to die. Tell the others about your void, empty passage of time with me." There was a pause. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Icy came to within an hour. Arwen was almost dead. She too, if she would ever recover would remember nothing except the ticking of an invisible bomb, about to explode inside her trapped, terrifyed mind.
Day 10 (part 4)
Icy was fully awake now. Her mind was swimming with thoughts and memories that made no sense, mixed up blurs of thoughts and feelings that drained away, leaving only the words, "I'll see you tomorrow." ringing in her head. Now that she thought about it, who had said it? There was nothing left to indicate where she had been the past few days. Try as the might, the CBers couldn't get a single memory out of her head. Arwen was mostly dead, and there was no 'Miracle Max' to help, nor a single chocolate coated pill. Leafpool would just have to pray for a miracle, or the best source they had for murderer info would be gone.
Arwen was walking down a deep, dark tunnel, getting farther away from the light as she went. She was trying to turn, but stepping toward the light was hard. Slowly, so slowly she turned back. Step by step she fought her way back. Then a voice rang out. "Slow down pretty. You aren't staying alive." Who's voice was it? It seemed so familiar- but she couldn't place it. Each step grew harder, until she was stuck. Halfway between the light and the dark.
It would take her days to free herself.
Day 10 (part 5)
Booksy Owly was exhausted. She, Leafpool, Autumn Leaves, Kate the Great, The Riddler, Serene, Kestrel and Hobbes had all been check up on Icy, Arwen, and Spirit-Rain, who now suffered from Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. She apparently had inhaled millions tiny dust particles, causing her to get very sick. Wordsy was doing kitchen Duty. She was safe, right? Wordsy was annoying, but... well, Booksy still loved her AE.
Wordsy, however, was not exactly safe. Currently, she was being threatened. By the murderer. Yay! "Okay, get into the fireplace. Now. I don't want to have to use this on you." At the word this, the murderer had pulled out a flamethrower. Wordsy wanted to scream. But hey, she might stay alive if she did what the murderer said. And so she did. The fireplace revealed a very, very, very long chute. With a dagger and a pistol pointed at her back, Wordsy slid down. The slide was fast. Because it was also slimy.As Wordsy descended, she became aware that getting up would be hard. The slide tilted almost completely downward. The bottom didn't seem to be getting any closer. In fact, the slide had already gone at least 200 yards down, and it wasn't anywhere near stopping. Until a curve came out of nowhere, and with it, the end of the slide.
The room she was standing in had a mossy, ancient look. Planks were rotting. The alls were stained green. Dust was about two feet high on the floor. Cobwebs lurked in the rafters. And suddenly, Wordsy knew where she was.
The portal room.
Day 11
The portal room was a dangerous, disease-infested room. Why was it there? No good reason. But the fact remained it was there. The portal was supposed to go, well, somewhere. Nobody really knew except the Captain, who got a steely look in her eye when anybody asked about it. The only way out was to go through the portal. Wordsy was a good climber. She gave it a shot.
Climbing up the chute was next to impossible. However, an AE ingredient was next to impossible. Wordsy, for some reason, was very much able to slowly work her way up. As she did this, she noticed that it seemed to be only twently feet long. Illusion? Deception? Wordsy didn't know. The only other possibility was that the tubes were moving. No. Inconceivable. But the more Wordsy thought about it, it became likelier andl likelier. This would enable the murderer to travel. And Wordsy could escape! Then it dawned on her. This was a trap. The murderer knew she would be able to climb. And if the tubes shifted..... well, she was doomed. Wordsy climbed up, faster and faster, desperate to reach her goal.
The tunnel finally came out. She was in the kitchen. Safe.
So relieved to have made it, she didn't notice when the dart pierced her back.
