your fingers run down the forest green spine of your favorite book. you've read it far too many times, and you think it's now time for a new favorite. your eyes flicker around the vast expanses of the alcoves of the library. what next?
you run your hand along the leathery spines of the books, one after another, stretching seemingly infinitely, a snake eating it's own tail.
you decide on a book covered in golden dust. you flip it open, stardust glittering on the pages, and you begin to read. the words slide together, however, and you find yourself in a void of emptiness with nothing but a letter in your hand. you open it.

NAME : Hawkstar
PRONOUNS : she/her
APPEARANCE : Tall and skinny, 5'7, with short, almost shoulder length coco colored hair. Brown eyes, full lips and a normal sized nose. freckles across cheeks and nose bridge. Long, slender and quick fingers. Ears are small and have slight points. A crown of ever- alive flowers are woven into my hair.
(My casual) Usually dressed in brown gray tunic, forest green leggings and a brown, long, hooded cloak. bare foot in warm seasons, booted in cold weather. Has a braided leather belt with sheaved hunting knife. Either has a wooden staff, or a bow and quivver full of arrows. Never both. Is very handy with both weapons I have hawk wings that appear on my back, 4 feet long on each side.
(My fancy) A sleeveless dress. It starts out as light green, but as it falls to my feet it darkens. A ring of roses are on the top (hem? what do you call that? not really a neckline cause it's sleeveless...) it isn't really puffy, or slim, but it fans out after my waist and is one of those dresses that are amazing for spinning. No shoes, my crown still in place. I have a hawk mask (just forehead to nose) it's held in place by string that you can't even tell is there. It has really hawk feathers on it as well (besides on the beak part)
PERSONALITY : Kind, firm, clever and fun. can be very open with laugh and smile, or closed off and mysteriously grumpy. Enjoys company of others usually, and hates to be left out or miss something. Loyal and loves to help whenever I can
LUGGAGE : n/a
FAVORITE FLOWER : I love all flowers really, but I especially love roses, irises, and magnolias.

APPEARANCE : (note -- please list one “casual” outfit and one “formal” outfit. the formal outfit must include a mask of some sort, otherwise entrance to the midnight masquerade will be denied.) short, with red/brown hair down to waist, golden eyes, fangs, claws, and golden tattoos all over tan ish skin. Always barefoot. Has a couple ear piercings on each ear. Casual outfit: black leggings with a green crop top under an unzipped colorfully embroidered thin jacket. Formal outfit: halter top style muted colors but still colorful dress down to the middle of my shins. Mask is a generic-ish masquerade mask but it's gold with golden beads on it.
PERSONALITY : smart, calculating, witty, sarcastic
LUGGAGE : a simple satchel with some odds and ends in it.

PERSONALITY : INFP. i'm very self-concious and awkward, but quite serious. i can be goofy at times, but i'm definitely not very funny. i have a weird laugh. ngl i'm kinda emo/punkish but sweet <3 I LOVE the arctic monkeys >:D

NAME : Darkvine, also known as Vine
PRONOUNS : she/her
APPEARANCE : long black hair with a streak of neon green running down the left side in front of my face, green eyes with slitted pupils, like a cat. my casual outfit is an olive green t-shirt with a jean jacket, black sweatpants, and green/black tie-dye crocs with axolotl buttons. my formal outfit is a long-sleeved green tunic, gold armor on my right shoulder, a charcoal-gray cloak draped over my left shoulder, simple brown pants and fluffy black boots. my mask is a fancy gold helmet in the shape of a snarling dragon's face.
PERSONALITY : quiet, dark, introverted and likes books, but can and will do stupid things if dared to. brave and loyal.
LUGGAGE : a few extra cloaks in varying colors, several weapons, including a silver dagger, a gold dagger, and a sword with a black blade, gold hilt, and a green gem on the pommel.
FAVORITE FLOWER : probably a dandelion, as it is simple, modest, and beautiful, but will thrive anywhere and will stand its ground at all costs.

APPEARANCE : shoulder-length gold hair and dark blue eyes, a bit taller than average. my 'casual' outfit consists of a plain white shirt, gray sweatpants, and blue running shoes. my formal outfit is a black cloak over a gray shirt, jeans, and brown boots. my mask is made of the finest silver, inlaid with gems and wrought into the shape of a pair of wings.
PERSONALITY : I'll take over this one. you will not! cares a lot about their appearance and always seeming like one to be taken seriously. also, a bit dramatic and likes attention. a little haughty and cold, but inside, is rather lonely.
LUGGAGE : I'll be taking my bow and a quiver of arrows. you don't know if this is a Ski Lodge or not. than why, may I ask, did you take your weapons as well? self-defense.
FAVORITE FLOWER : thistles.

APPEARANCE : long, fluffy brown hair with a bit of orange. brown eyes, a little short. I wear a red flower in my hair, too. casually, I wear a mint green t-shirt with a picture of a butterfly on it, gray leggings, and no shoes. formally, a long pink dress with gold sparkles, gray leggings, and sandals- not flip-flops, sandals. my mask is a plain wooden one shaped like a bird's face, with yellow feathers on the edges!
PERSONALITY : bright, energetic, optimistic, extroverted, loves sparkles! I will try to make friends with anyone, and act cheerful for others when they are sad.
LUGGAGE : just a small plush lion named Lucy.

Love Sansevieria's name btw!!! Like, just the sound and how it's spelled and her nickname and the vibe it gives off. And then I looked her name up and SNAKE PLANTS. I love snake plants!! Oh which btw reminds me during the CB break I went inside this pet store to look at the critters bc why not and there was a boa who was SO CUTEEEEE and I was totally like DARKVINE!! except I didn't really shout, I, like, whisper-shouted, but-
ok yeah idk what the point of that story was :)
also @uriel, just wondering, will this be super religious-y? But also this is all SO COOL and well-written and stuff, so can I reserve please? :)
