Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Religion. Just to

Religion. Just to let you know, Christianity is a pathway to a relationship with God and Heaven. Read the Bible and think again about what you believe. I'll go in depth later, but please tell me about what your religions are and what you believe. :)

No. I don't believe in God because the bible says he's real!! What's the logic in that?????!!! Remember those miracles? Have you looked them up yet????

Isn't it a little strange that even very early on humans believed in some sort of God? Where do you think they god the idea from? Not the bible. I believe in what the bible says because it's God's word. And, no, I'm not saying that because most ancient civilizations had some sort of God means that there is a God, there are LOTS of arguments against that, but how come it seams to be human nature to believe in a God? Could it be because some how they can just feel that there is someone watching over us?

I've started to notice that a lot of you who don't believe in God don't really know much about the bible. So let me just say: when we say it's God's word, we don't think he actually penned it down. We believe that he inspired the writers (Moses, Matthew, Mark, Paul etc.) to write what he wanted them to write. Does that make since? Because recently someone here said that there may be proof that the bible was written by several different people. hee hee, well, yeah! That's what everyone who, uh, believes in the bible?? believes too! So, before you start arguing about the bible, you might want to read up on what we believe about it. :)

The reason that so many early cultures had a god is because it's a reasonable thing to expect. And I would just like to point out that you said you would not argue a point, and then proceeded to argue it.

There is no such thing as an 'Evolutionist'. They don't exist. There are scientists, who do believe in evolution, but no one worships evolution. Also, evolution is NOT A RELIGION

Please don't shout--i.e., all caps with bold face and lots of exclamation points. It encourages other buggies to shout back at you rather than respond reasonably.

I think they do exist: and Evolutionist is mearly a person who believes Evolution is true, right?

No. The ending 'ist' means someone belonging to a relgion, such as fundamentalist. There is no religion asociated with evolution, so 'evolutionists' don't exist. And there is no need to captialize 'evolution.' It isn't holy, or part of a religion.

As many problems as I have with these religious threads, I just want to say that no one one here is being manipulating. Neither are any of our religions. Okay?

YAY, MARY JO, GRACE, AND LAUREN! I agree with everything you said! :)

Pirocks, you are a wonderful and smart lit person, and I have utmost respect for you, but I'm afraid that on this subject we're going to have to just agree to disagree, because if I try to politely disagree with your previous comments, it probably won't come out so... politely. Sorry, but that's the truth. Good?

Cramer, this has got to be a record or something- over seventy posts in five days! Wow!
