I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I got a phone! Aaaah, I got a phone! I've wanted one since I was six or seven...and now I have one! We have some pretty strict rules on it right now, like I can't take it into my bedroom or anywhere in the house above the first floor (which I'm kind of sad about because one of the reasons I wanted a phone was to be able to listen to Spotify and Pandora from it), but still--I have one!
Aaaaaand...I got a Marvel phone case. ^^ It's a super cool design, I'll post a picture of it in a sec--it's just such a heart-rending quote, I love it. Unfortunately, it turns out that the case is not very good protection for my phone, and it doesn't have much of a lip above the phone so if I drop it straight facedown, it'll probably break before you can say "cracked glass". So we may have to get a different case--*cries*. But while I have it, my plan is that if anyone asks me "Are you a Marvel fan?", I can just take my phone out, hold it towards them with the back of the case showing and say with a slightly cynical/amused tone, "What do you think?"

@Leafy You might want to get a screen protector for your phone, that way you won't have to get a new case! I love that case.

Screen protectors don't always work that well, though.

I have a screen protector and I think it's worked pretty well, but I'm not sure. My phone also has a pretty good lip. You might be right that it's better to get a new case so it doesn't rest right on its screen if it falls, but that case is really cool (and I haven't even seen Captain America or any movie involving him).
Also, wow, this last couple of new CAPTCHAs have given me a lot of trouble. Maybe I'm secretly a robot.

The other day my friend and I found a butterfly lying on my porch. It was very still, and we thought it was dead at first, but it wasn’t. It had a wing that was about half torn off, though. My friend picked it up and we looked at it for a minute, feeling sorry for it, knowing it was probably going to die and that there was nothing we could do to help it. Then it began to move and struggle, and it jumped out of my friend’s hand and attempted to flap its broken wings. I expected it to fall back onto the porch, but then to my amazement, it swooped back up into the air and we just watched as it flew away into a nearby tree.
And I thought it was such an inspiring and poetic thing on a lot of levels. Because even with an injured, ripped wing—even when something had obviously tried to break it—that butterfly still found the strength to fly.

Oof.
Yesterday I dropped my phone, (actually, I didn't drop it. It literally leapt out of my hand. Upwards. Yes. This was not my fault.) and it fell onto our driveway. The bottom of the phone case (at one end of my phone) broke and my phone slipped out, onto the pavement. Thankfully, I didn't break my phone, but I dented the bottom kind of badly and the phone case was, of course, cracked apart. So...yeah. Mind you, I was a little bit apprehensive about getting this phone case since it had no reviews at all on Amazon, and when I was looking at phone cases some had reviews that let me know that the cases weren't good protection. This case had no reviews, but I wanted it so badly I decided to try it out. But I guess it was more decorative than protection....
I had a different phone case that I was looking at, that was a lot chunkier and looked like better phone protection, and it just had Captain America's shield on the back, but after my case broke my dad said that I couldn't get that one, that he wanted to get a case from a company he trusts and now I'm getting this super chunky plain case, without anything Marvel. T T
