Fairytale RP!

Fairytale RP!

So Tovah had once made something like this, and I miss it, so I'm going to recreate it. I was thinking that you could either do a twist on a classic fairytale hero or heroine, or make your own. They go to a private high school to learn to fight aliens.

I'm going to go with the same character I had before.

Name: Gretel Rose

Appearence; Chin-length golden hair that curves in on one side and
curves out on the other. Dark, sapphire-blue eyes, slightly pink cheeks,
pale, small, at 5 ft. Commonly wears long sleeve camo shirt with denim
capris and lace up hunting boots. Or jeans, black t-shirt with Slay Your Own Dragons and a sword
on fire, black hunting boots. Oftenwears a cap. Whether navy blue or
camo.

Personality; Strong, quiet, observant, hard core, ready to fight. Loyal, open, and cheerful around her friends.

Story; So, this is a Hansel and Gretel in the modern world. Southern
girl! Her parents ditched her in the backwoods of Tennessee, in the
Great Smokey Mountains. A hunter thought she and her brother game and
accidentally shot him. (Explains what happens to Hansel.)

Power; She has a strong sense of direction, can see in the dark. Also can channel people's feelings well. Knows what they're feeling.

Weapon: Anything she can throw or shoot, except long spears. She can
throw knives, shoot a gun or bow. Whatever she can get her hands on.

So what do ya'll think? Good or bad idea?

Gretel ~

Needless to say, I was surprised to find a two-inch girl sitting on the edge of Meg's bed.

"Hi," I said awkwardly, not totally sure what to think. At first look, you'd think she couldn't give much of a fight. But in a school like this, you learned not to underestimate anyone, no matter the size. Heck, I proved that on a regular basis.

"Hello," Thumbelina said standing up, smoothing her dress.

"Um, why are you here?" Meg said, evidently unerved that Pip had been left alone with her.

"Because," Thumbelina said, "I heard about your escapade, and why you wanted that information. I want to help."

"How can you help?" Meg asked.

Thumbelina smiled, leapt off the bed, and suddenly a full grown girl, about 5'5 stood before us.

"See? I can be useful!"

"I'll say," I said from the place I stood after I'd skittered backwards.

"Why do you want to help?" Meg said, still cautious.

"I want to use my abilities for something useful, and I want to know what they know about me too," Thumbelina said  honestly.

Meg and I looked at each other, having a silent conversation.

"We'll have to check with the others first," I said slowly. Thumbelina seemed honest, but who knew? She may be using us for personal gain, or maybe Alex sent her to check up on what we were doing. I wanted to like her, but there was something . . . off about her. Something in the way she looked at us I didn't like.

Amy-

I raced down the hall after Ash. Apperently, he had to get a monkey. Or was it a donkey? Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I was offically lost. Eventully, I heard footsteps. I ran after the sound, thinking it was Ash and tripping myself. When I looked up, I saw a hand reaching toward me. I grabbed it and got up. The hand belonged either to an extremely tall kid or an adult. "What are you doing out at this time?" the person asked. It sounded like a she. I thought of something fast. "Taking a stroll. I coulden't sleep." " Is that it?" she asked. "Ah well. I'll go with you and make sure the guard dogs don't get you." So we started talking and exploring the school. Her name was Alex and she was teaching my friends  so she waaaaaaaaaaaas an adult) how to fight this this thing that was going to frighten the school and she said I could join and sleep over at her place if I wanted to. I said yes to both. Then she told me that she was going to send a spy on my friends. I gasped and asked her why. "So we can find their strengths and weaknesses, strengths so we know where they can help us and weaknesses so we know where to help them," she said. We soon got to her room. We went in, said goodnight, and went to sleep.

Ash~

"Sorry you didn't get to help as much as you might've liked," I whispered to Jerusalem as I raced down the hall to my dorm, carrying a stack of files I had taken from the office. The monkey replied with a sort of squeaky noise. "I don't speak monkey!" I hissed at him, opening the room to my dorm.

"So you made it?" Aladin asked, sitting on my bed.

"Yes. Now take your monkey and get out of my room," I said, irritated. "I just need to go to sleep."

"Sheesh," Aladin grabbed Jerusalem and walked out of the room. "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

I ignored him and rolled over in bed. I was so very tired, but couldn't fall asleep. Something just seemed off about our invasion of the pricinpal's office. Like we'd been allowed to let it happen.

I hadn't smelled the dogs. Was it possible that Aladin was trying to trick us all?

There were so many things I wasn't sure about, I realized as I squeezed my eyes shut. Like Amy. How did that happen! How could I have a sister...?

Dog. I smelled it now, coming closer and closer to my door. I slowly sat up in bed.

"...going to send you to spy on your new friends," I heard Alex speaking.

A gasp. "Why?" Amy's voice echoed as their footsteps receaded down the hallway.

I raised an eyebrow. Spying on us? Alex was up to something.

And for that matter, so was Amy.

Ah, sorry! I'm sorry about this whole thing. I used words incorrectly and there are some grammar errors and it doesn't take us much farther in the story, but... hey... it's some writing...

Change it if you want.

I woke up, remembering everything. I asked Alex who the spy is. "Her name is Thumblia," she said. I smiled.

I should write.... writing is good....

THEO HAS NO IDEAS AT ALL BUT STILL IS PRETENDING TO THINK OF IDEAS.

Oops. Look up there. I wrote it wrong. AMY isn't spying on them. Sheesh Ash.

I'll just try something... WAIT! I remember. I wanted to do a flashback...

Ash~

"Dad, how come everyone calls me Ash when my real name is Bartholmew?"

His father frowned. "It was the fire..."

"The fire mom died in?" the boy asked innocently.

A look came over the father's eyes. "Yes," he said. "That fire. You wouldn't come out of the flames, no matter how many times we called you. The firemen found you lurking around, hollering like you were looking for someone.... or something."

The boy contemplated this. "But then why am I called Ash?"

"When they got you out of the fire you were covered in soot. One of your brothers called you Ash, and the rest is history."

"What was I looking for?"

The father lowered his eyes. "Another day, Ash. Another day."

. . .

I awoke in a fog of confusion. What was that dream...? That... That was me. I asked Dad that when I was six years old...

I closed my eyes again. Why couldn't I go back to sleep? It was six in the morning and I'd been up all night snooping around with everyone else! I slammed my head into my pillow. Why couldn't I go back to sleep!

What was I looking for...?

"Oh," my eyes widened. "Oh."

. . .

"What are you up to?" I demanded, dropping my tray down on the lunchtable beside Amy.

"Oh hi Ash!" she said through a mouthful of pancakes.

"You're up to something," I grumbled.

"It's a little early in the morning for these sorts of conversations, isn't it?"

I looked at the clock on the wall. It read six thirty. "You're up."

"To something!" Amy finished with a laugh.

I sighed. This was getting nowhere.

Soooooooo that's something. I could've written more but I'm out of gas and someone else can take over now.

Gretel ~

I walked into the cafeteria with Meg and the mice and Thumbelina, who was grown to full size. I looked over and saw Ash and Amy sitting together. Ash looked annoyed, while Amy wore her typical smiling expression. We quickly grabbed our food, and settled down at the table with them, followed shortly by the others.

"Who are you?" Amy said curiously as soon as we sat down.

"Thumbelina," she replied courteously, "but please, call me Lina."

More introductions were made as the others joined us.

"So," I said after several minutes, "I was thinking we should, uh, get together to study later?"

"Sounds good," Cindy said, as the others murmered their agreement.

***

We settled down on my dorm floor, the files spread out in front of us. Thumbelina sat with us, listening.

Slowly, almost reverently, we opened our files. I looked down at mine, almost nervous at what I was about to find. The first thing I saw was my picture. I was significantly about the age when I first came to the school, just after Hansel died. I didn't remember having my picture taken, which unnerved me. Underneath were the usual records you'd expect. My full name, age, date of birth, and physical appearance. Then underneath that, it got more detailed. It went into personality, track record, strengths and weaknesses, both academically and physically. It brought up my history, what my parents had done to me, and how Hansel had died. I skimmed to the bottom of the page, and my blood chilled.

It went beyond just Hansel's death. It went into a psychological test, how my experiences my have affected me. It went into my mental downfalls, where I was weakest, and my fears. Even some secrets I hadn't told anyone. Summed up, they knew everything about me, and if they wanted, they knew how to break me.

Cindy has been infiltrating parts of my brain that are not supposed to have Cindy in them, so I need to get onto paper... er... screen.

Cindy~

I didn't want to open my file. I didn't get scared easily, but the expressions on the other's faces after a few minutes worried me. No, not worried me. Scared me. I bit my lip so hard blood started to come out. One of the drops landed on my file. Right near my cursive-written full name, Cinderella Lynn.

I hated myself for not having opened it yet. I closed my eyes, and my hands suddenly had a will of their own. They opened the file, and it was all I could do to not keep the pages from spilling out. I took a glance through barely opened eyes. It was a picture of me. As a baby.I frowned, and couldn't keep myself from opening my eyes to full extent. There were more pictures... one of me with my father, one at my eighth birthday party... even one of my crying over my fathers grave. How in the world did they get that? I shuddered.

There was more, so much more, an entire section on my father, another one on the relationship with my father, and the same with my stepmother and my half sisters. There was yet another one on my knife. My knife. How did they know about that? I told them I had no weapons. Yet they know I have a knife, and they know its history.

Then, I finally  came to last section. My powers. They listed dancing (I wanted to throw that part out), good hearing (I wanted to circle that one), and X-ray vision. My eyes scanned it, sent those two words to my brain , and I nearly collapsed. How did they know? The small part of my brain that wasn't in full panic mode responded. They know everything.

***

Once everybody was finished with their files, Amy was the first to speak. "They know... everything."

"How'd they figure this out?" Gretel pondered

"They didn't. We must have told them somehow."  My voice was angry, the exact opposite of the voice in my head. I was surprised at myself.

"Well, now we know that they know every single little thing about us and our lives," Jasmine said. "Good or bad?"

"Bad," I responded, with no hesitation. "Very bad."

So, there it is. Change it if you like.

Ooh, opening files! I would just skip Ash's and get on with it, but why not write about Ash's findings?

Ash~

We were all in Gretel and Meg's dorm, files spread out on the floor, everyone opening theirs and trying not to look as scared as they felt. I had opened mine and was flipping through the pages. There wasn't much to see, and after all, they already knew everything about me. Everything--

I stopped. There was a picture of the fire. The picture of that horrible, stupid fire. They had been taking pictures but hadn't bothered to help!? They could've saved my dad and my brother and Griffin and I would never have had to go here--

I would never have had to go here. I gulped. There was a caption written next to the picture: Second Fire. Casualties: Father, Brothers, Friend.

Was the fire... planned?

I shook it off. It wasn't planned. It was just a picture of a fire, not even the fire, not either of the fires, none of the fires, just a fire. A fire ragging down on a house, in a landscape, a place where I'd been. A place where I'd been for most of my life.

There was another picture of a fire below that one. First Fire, the caption read. Casualties: Mother, Sister.

Sister. A chill went down my spine. Was Amy...? She glanced at me, and I looked back down at my file and turned to the next page. Enough of that fire stuff.

The next page was about my time as The Master Cat. Actually, the next three pages. I really didn't need to remember Lemon's death, or for that matter, ever single indvidual person I'd saved, where they came from, their birthday, and their favorite color. What did it matter?

I closed the file. I wasn't done with it--there were still three or four more pages, but I figured I'd know what it said already, and if I didn't, I was pretty sure I didn't want to know. Most everyone else was also calling it quits, similar looks of displease on their faces.

"They know.... everything," Amy said. She's hiding something, I thought. There's something about her and she's hiding it.

"How'd they figure it out?" Gretel asked. She's hiding something, too.

"They didn't--we must've told them somehow," Cindy said angrily. They were all hiding something.

"Well, now we know that they know every little thing about us and our lives," Jasmine sighed. "Good or bad?"

"Bad," Cindy said easily. "Very bad."

They were all hiding something. And I was no exception. I had secrets of my own.

A scent drifted down the hallway. A scent far to familiar and far too terifying.

"Alex's coming," Amy said suddenly.

"The dogs, too," I added.

"Hide the files!" Meg said urgently.

"Too late," I whispered.

"Hiding files?" Alex waltzed into the room. "Oh, no, Meg, I don't think you will be needing to do that.

Thumbalina flew up to her. "How are things going, Lina?"

"Swell, Alex, just swell. I've been able to do just what you asked."

"What?" Gretel stood up. "What did she ask you to do, Lina?"

"Never mind that," Alex said. "I'd suggest you find a safe place for those files before the principal comes looking for them. I could probably give you all a moment's headstart," she added, holding her tinderbox.

"Come on, let's go," Alice said, gathering a handful of files in her arms. Everyone else scrambled to pick of files and we started head out and down the hall.

"Why are you doing this?" Rose asked, running out the room.

"You're not bad kids," Alex said. "Plus I like you!"

"But stealing is bad," Snow pointed out.

Alex growled. "Get out before I change my mind, please."

Snow got out.

"Don't forget to keep the safe," Alex yelled at us as we ran down the hall.

"What are we going to do with these?" Gretel asked. "We have to keep them safe--"

"What else?" I said. "We start a fire."

Wellllllll that changed the direction of the story quickly. And it's pretty long, sorry. Feel free to change it. And burning the files probably isn't the best way to keep them safe but who really wanted anyone to get ahold of those files, anyways? I think it's a better way than not.

I'm going to go back to the night Amy slept with Alex, and it's from Alex's point of view.

Alex-

She was asleep. I smiled. I opened her mouth and made her drink the bottle that was in hand. Instantly, she woke up and said, "I am currently under your control. What do you need me to do?" She sounded like a robot. I said, "I need you to go to each of your friends' rooms and read their history that's in their minds. Then, write their history in their file as fast as you can, and make sure it's not in your handwriting. Don't forget to do yours as well. Stay invisible the whole time." As she left the room I smiled. I knew she would forget all of this as soon as she went back to sleep.

I hope that explained the files.
