Fairytale RP!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Fairytale RP!

Fairytale RP!

So Tovah had once made something like this, and I miss it, so I'm going to recreate it. I was thinking that you could either do a twist on a classic fairytale hero or heroine, or make your own. They go to a private high school to learn to fight aliens.

I'm going to go with the same character I had before.

Name: Gretel Rose

Appearence; Chin-length golden hair that curves in on one side and
curves out on the other. Dark, sapphire-blue eyes, slightly pink cheeks,
pale, small, at 5 ft. Commonly wears long sleeve camo shirt with denim
capris and lace up hunting boots. Or jeans, black t-shirt with Slay Your Own Dragons and a sword
on fire, black hunting boots. Oftenwears a cap. Whether navy blue or
camo.

Personality; Strong, quiet, observant, hard core, ready to fight. Loyal, open, and cheerful around her friends.

Story; So, this is a Hansel and Gretel in the modern world. Southern
girl! Her parents ditched her in the backwoods of Tennessee, in the
Great Smokey Mountains. A hunter thought she and her brother game and
accidentally shot him. (Explains what happens to Hansel.)

Power; She has a strong sense of direction, can see in the dark. Also can channel people's feelings well. Knows what they're feeling.

Weapon: Anything she can throw or shoot, except long spears. She can
throw knives, shoot a gun or bow. Whatever she can get her hands on.

So what do ya'll think? Good or bad idea?

Neat! Okay, Ash is already making remarks in my head. I think that means I'm suppose to write!

Ash~

"Weird huh?" I asked. Sitting with a monkey, biding the time by and trying to keep him froming ripping up my socks, I sure did feel weird. "No insult taken. This is about the mice, right?"

"Yes. Steve thinks you're weird and we're just going to prove him wrong."

I raised an eyebrow. "Okay. So what's the plan? Because in case you didn't know that, we have about thirty minutes to an hour before we set the break into the principal's office plan to work, and I'm bringing a monkey. So things are not looking un-weird."

"We'll think of something on the way to our dorm," Meg said. I nodded.

"Okay," I said. "Let's go."

Meg's dorm was fairly far away, so we had a bit of time to discuss a plan. "Perhaps you could just talk with Steve--I'm sure  he'll see how normal you are then!" Meg suggested.

"Hmm. Perhaps I could turn into a cat, walk into the room, turn into a human, and have a normal conversation?"

"The cat part maybe seems like a bad idea."

I frowned. "How else are they going to get used to it?" We were almost to Meg's dorm. "Let's just try it."

"Okay," Meg frowned. "But I'm not so sure about this...."

I shrugged it off and turned into a cat.

Cindy has,not unlike you, Theo W, been yelling at me in my head for the past our to start writing. So I will!

Cindy~

I sat on my bed, waiting for the time when I would come and meet the others. I wished time would move faster, but instead it crawled at an agonizingly slow pace. I fidgeted around. I was grateful that everyone belived me, so unlike at my home, and I was impatient to get moving.

Finally, too energized to bear it, I rummaged around in my dresser and found something I hadn't looked at in a long, long time. My knife. It was as good as new, the silver blade shining with a deadly elegance, the leather hilt still as good as new. The words, still engraved on it, unworn, untattered, said, "To my Cindy. Keep on being yourself. Your Daddy is proud of you"

When I read the inscription for the first time since I was sent to this school, I felt something wet drip down my face. I quickly rubbed it away. I held the knife in my hand and waved it around a bit. It felt like liquid metal in my hands, me being able to manipulate it however I wanted it to. I practiced a few jabs and swings. I savored every moment with my knife.

Realizing this could be useful (you never know), I found the sheath and stuffed the now sheathed dagger into the back pocket of my jeans. I tied my black, curly hair into a fresh ponytail and smiled. I had all I needed now. I could wait now.

Meg and the mice~

As I watched Ash change, I noted that he looked more at ease in his cat form. He started to look less like the awkward, shy teenage boy he was, and more like- more like a carefree, worriless cat.

The silence of watching the cat was ended when Gretel ran out and started scolding me for leaving the dorm, and leaving her to put Pip to bed.

"I read him every Fairytale in his storybook before he even began to nod off!" she whispered hoarsely. "What were you even going to get?"

I explained everything, and pointed to the cat, who had been sitting in the shadow.

Goodness, sorry y'all. I've just been so busy, I haven't had time to sit down and write Gretel's piece!

Gretel ~

After everyone had left, I'd slipped over to Meg's room, where she sat cross legged on her bed, talking to Steve and Charlie.

"Perfect," she said, looking up as I quietly shut the door behind me. "I need to ask you something."

"Shoot," I said, throwing myself into a chair.

"I need to know about Ash," she said.

"Ash?" I questioned, curious where this was going. "Um, I dunno much, other than he mostly just stays in room 233 by himself."

"Excellent," she said, getting up off the bed and heading toward the door. "Can you put Pip to bed?"

"Uh, I guess," I said. "Whatda I do?"

"Read him a fairytale," she said.

"Wait, where are you going?" I demanded, instantly curious.

"To... get something," Meg replied, then was gone.

I picked up the fairytale book, sitting back in the chair, and started reading, thinking it would be fast business, and he would soon be asleep.

It wasn't until I'd read pretty much the entire book that I glanced up to find him sleeping soundly.

"Finally," I breathed. Just then, I caught the slight sound of footsteps. I bolted out door, coming face to face.

"I read him every Fairytale in his storybook before he even began to nod off!" I whispered, groaning inwardly at how hoarse it was.

She quickly explained, indicating the cat half hidden in shadows.

"Interesting," I said, then led the back into the dorm. Ash followed, moving at our heels.

So, The Chocabookaholic or Theo might want to write the next part. But anyways, there ya's go.

I felt I needed to provide (in the form of the following newspaper article) backstory. Here goes:

CAT KILLER EL GATO ON A  KILLING SPREE!!!!!

Police recently found the dead corpses of three mice, lying on the sidewalk of Lavender street. They have been indentified as Steven Tailor, Marge Tailor, and their daughter Julietta Tailor. Police have reported that next to the corpses was a scrap of paper bearing killer El Gato's signature mark. The Tailor's remaining children, Steven Jr., Charles, and Pippin Tailor are in great trauma over the loss of their parents and sister, and are under the care of their elderly grandmother Mildred Tailor. Police officer James Cooper of the Thropton Special Police Forces says: "Our forces are dilligently searching for traces of El Gato so that we can resolve this case. But we recommend that Thropton mice stay especially cautious until the killer is caught."

WOW ASH HAS A SISTER?!?!

This character (like many characters on this RP) must be drawn.

But Ash has no idea....

Ash~

I sat in the shadows, waiting for a cue or something to come into the room, while Meg and Gretel chatted quietly about something. I ignored them, lost in thought. Why might the mice be afraid of cats? Besides the obvious--Cats were predators to mice. But I'd imagine mice who were like Steve, Pip, and Charley wouldn't be too afraid of cats. They seemed smart--they would know I didn't want to cause them any harm.

Right?

I gulped and hoped my cat-instincts wouldn't take ahold of me while I was with them. They wouldn't, I told myself. They wouldn't.

"You can come in now," Meg told me.

I took a deep breath and plunged into the room.

I forgot to tell you.......... Amy can become invisible and read minds, too

*Amy*-

I ran everything through my head. I was enrolled to this school even though I'm not really a fairy-tale character, my long-lost brother (a.k.a.Puss in Boots) lives here, and now I'm walking to his dorm, invisible. I should be happy, but I sensed dog. A lot of dog. It was on the other side of the school, but my hairs on the back of my neck were on end. Then I saw some people. Two girls and one cat. I knew the cat was my brother, so I scearched his mind for his name. His name was Ash, and he could turn into a cat. The blonde haired girl was Gretel, and the other girl was Meg. He was about to go in and comfort Meg's three mice.  MICE!!!! Ginger will have a field day, I sadly thought as I backed out of his mind to hear what the girls were saying. ".... before he began to nod off!!" Gretel was saying. For a second I thought she looked at me even though I was invisible, and I backed off before I heard what Meg said. When I came back, they had gone in and left the door wide open, giving me plenty of room to walk through. When I came in, Ash was in human form saying, ".... nothing like El Gato. I swear, O.K.? " " Of COURSE he's nothing like El Gato!!" I blurted. "He's my brother!!" Soon it was a blur of words and images, everyone running around screaming stuff like:

"What is it?!!!!!"

"It's a ghost!!!!"

"It's my sister!!"

"I demand war!!"

"Wazz goingz onzz?"

Finally I got the courage to yell "I'll tell you who I am as soon as you all get quiet. O.K.?" Instantly everyone was quiet. I became visible and shook Ash's hand. "Who are you?" he asked. "I'm Amy, your long-lost sister," I answered. Then Ash fainted.

Ha, I love it!

Gretel ~

After several seconds of deep discussion, Meg and I decided she should go in first to prep Steve and Charlie that Ash was here. During the few seconds she was gone, I felt a slight shiver run down my back. I glanced down the hall, but there was nothing there.

"You can come in now," Meg said, opening the door wide. Ash trotted inside, and I followed.

Steve and Charlie stood on Meg's bed, but tensed when they caught sight of Ash. The two parties stared at each other for several seconds in silence. Then Ash turned back into human form. It was a bit wild to watch, even I admit. But Steve and Charlie still stood in the same tense position.

"See?" Meg said, breaking the silence. "He isn't a bit weird."

Steve frowned, still eyeing Ash. I stood in the back, watching the drama unfold.

"How do you know he's not like..."

"He's NOT," Meg said emphatically.

"Not what?" Ash asked, looking back and forth between her and Steve.

"Like El Gato," Meg sighed. Ash tensed slightly at the name. Evidently, he had heard of him before.

"I'm nothing like El Gato. I swear, ok?" Ash said, putting emphasis on "nothing."

"Of COURSE he's nothing like El Gato! He's my brother!" A voice from seemingly nowhere yet startingly close to where I stood blurted out before Steve could reply. From there, chaos ensued.

"What is it?!" Meg shouted, looking wildly around.

"It's a ghost!" Charlie shouted.

"It's my sister!" someone shouted. Who it was, or why on earth they would shout that, I had no idea.

"I demand war!" I finally shouted. Of course, I can't think rationally. I don't try to find out what the heck is going on, I just jump straight to the fighting. Oh well. Go big or go home.

"What's going on?" Pip asks groggily.

"I'll tell you who I am as soon as you all get quiet. O.K.?" the mysterious voice said after several seconds more of this insanity. We all instantly fell silent. Just then, a girl appeared a few feet in front of Ash, taking his hand and shaking it as if they were old friends.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Amy, your long-lost sister," the mysterious so called Amy girl said. Ash gaped a moment, then fainted. We all stood staring a moment.

"Wwweeelll," I drawled, my southern accent kicking in strongly. "That was unexpected."

"Understatement of the century," Meg scoffed, looking from Ash to Amy.

Being girls that, aside from initial shock, have their wits about them, we quickly went to reving Ash. Amy rushed to the bathroom, grabbing a cloth and soaking it in cold water. Meg dabbed his forhead with it while I rubbed his wrists. After a moment or so, his eyelids fluttered open. He glanced around at us, his eyes finally locking onto Amy. She grinned nervously. Evidently, this meeting had not been planned out.

"How..." he started to ask. Just then, the clock chimed.

"The mission!" I cried, jumping to my feet. "We've got to move now, or it's not happening. You up to it, Ash?"

He nodded firmly, rising quickly to his feet.

"What's going on?" Amy asked, looking at us. I glanced at Meg and Ash, who looked at each other.

"Come on, "I finally said, leading the way out of the room. "We can use all the help we can get."
