Layla's ears picked up a sound as she walked down the hall. It sounded like a cut-off scream. Layla whipped around, her pupils widening in the dim light of the hallway. There was a shadow, that was slightly around the corner. Layla stalked forward a little, hearing small movements and muffled sounds, and whispering.

" Now you listen, you little twit!" A voice hissed. " Stop struggling! We don't want to be seen now do we?" Layla suddenly elbowed the person's neck. Hard. The man slumped to the floor. Layla looked up at Avelen's frightened, iridescent green eyes. What was the man doing here, and what was he trying to do with Avelen?

That sounds like an awesome idea Brooke! I'm really loving this rp btw! :D

Draco shook his head. That girl, Aveleen. She was all over the place. One moment she was at his table, then at another, then back at his, and now using the restroom! But that was nothing compared to that other kid, Frank. He had been in the doorway of the cafeteria one moment, and now he was sitting at the table next to him!

Well, at least they were both friendly. Maybe they could be a team, someday. Draco shook Frank's hand. "I-I'm Draco," he said awkwardly. "Excuse me about the candle. Sometimes I have trouble, well, controlling my power."

"Oh, thanks!" gasped Aveleen. " It's no problem. Who was that?" said Layla.

Aveleen shuddered. "I don't know, but I can find out. Stand back."

Aveleen turned to the bound man. She closed her eyes and slowly began to rise off the ground. His pockets, wallets and bag ripped open, revealing a knife, tthirty eight dollars and a buisness card. aveleen then plunged toward the ground, managing to catch herself a few seconds before impact. "Dibs on the cash!" she said , "Now let's see about that buisness card."

They picked it up gingerly and looked at it. It said barely anything.

ROBERT COOPER

MEMBER OF THE TEA

"Member of the tea? What?"

"And again, I'm Frank." Frank let go of Draco's hand. "So, what's with her?" Silence. "Oo-kay, then, you wanna go to class with me? I mean we might not--" Draco and Frank's slightly awkward conversation was ended by a short, but loud scream. "Draco, come on!" Frank grabbed Draco's arm and sped towards the source of the screaming. Faster then he'd ever run before.

"WHOA!" yelled Draco as Frank zoomed towards the source of the screaming. They sped down a dark hallway, and into a very dark room. Draco snapped his fingers, making a ball of fire appear in his hand, and he and Frank were greeted with a very strange scene. Aveleen and another girl who Draco didn't know were sorting through a pile of money and buisness cards, while a man lay unconscious on the floor. When Draco saw who the man was, he gasped.

Aveleen turned around in alarm. "Draco? Frank? What are you two doing here?"

Draco just pointed at the man. "Th-That's my uncle!"

Layla watched as Aveleen lifted the man and everything fell out of him.

"Member of the tea? What?"

Layla stepped forward and inspected the card. Layla's eyes closed as memories rushed through.

"I really don't know what the tea is. I feel like I've seen the letters before. In a room. I can't remember it that well. Anyway, whoever this guy works for, he came here for a reason. Anyway, it's a good thing that I was closeby. Look, I gotta go to the Main Office. If they call for me a third time, they're going to come looking for me. Oh, and why don't you go get the janitor, have him sweep up the body, and report it? I'll go tell the Head Mistress when I get to the office, too," Layla said, as she examined the other objects the man had had in his pockets.

"See you around Aveleen," Layla said, before resuming her walk down the hall, her eyes flickering towards the other dark hallways.

Aveleen collided with Frank. "Frank! Frank it's ok. I got away!"

Layla heard the voices of the two boys and Aveleen fade away as she walked further down the hall. She entered the Main Office.

"Please have a seat, Ms. Evermore." The Head Mistress waved her hand to the seat. Layla silently sat down, and waited.

"Ms. Evermore, we brought you here today, because we wanted to ask you--" Layla cut off the Head Mistress.

"Is this about my behavior again? My temper? Because I'm pretty sure we went through this last week," Layla snarled. Head Mistress sighed.

"It's not about that. Well, it could be brought into the subject, but that's not the main reason we brought you here. This is why we brought you here." Head Mistress pressed a button on her remote, which was in her right hand, and a screen lit up. It was a strange creature, the size and shape of a lioness, with spikes on the back of its front elbows. Its fur was mixed with orange, tawny, and black in multiple places. Layla's yellow eyes widened, her mouth went dry, and her mind went blank, except for a few thoughts running back and forth. I thought she was dead, but then again she was great at burying the bond so that it seemed as if she wasn't alive. But if she is, is that really her? Or is it one of them? Layla heard her name being called at least four times.

"Ms. Evermore. Layla. Layla Evermore!" Layla shook her head. "W-what?"

"I said, is that you?" Head Mistress pointed to the picture the camera had spotted. Layla's breathing quickened. "That wasn't me. How could you possibly think that was me? I was in my room at that time! Two forty-six! Check the cameras that are by my room! I entered, and didn't come back out for that whole time! I swear!" Layla's anger mounted as she yelled. The Head Mistress started to shout Layla's last name, trying to get her to stop. "It wasn't me!" Layla screamed, then, everything broke loose. Her fangs slid out, the chair sliding out from under her, as her shape transformed into a lioness, with orange, tawny-colored fur, that was black-tipped on her shoulders, and spikes slid out of her front elbows.

"Layla, you must control yourself! Calm down!" Head Mistress yelled. "What if I don't want to calm down and listen to you?" Layla's voice was mixed with that of a roar. Layla's lion form burst out of the room, and into the hallway.

"Every child please go to your rooms immediately! Please go to your rooms! A dangerous, and out of control child is on the loose! Please go to your rooms!" The Head Mistress yelled into her intercom.

"You say out of control?! I'll show you out of control!" Layla roared, as she bounded down the hallway, roaring all the way. Children screamed as they shut their doors in a frightened way. Layla suddenly barrelled into a boy, and fell onto her side. The boy's eyes widened, as a man shot a sleeping dart into Layla's flank. The lion creature gasped as the needle pierced her skin. Layla shut her eyes, as blackness crashed over her.

"The danger has passed. You may return to your classes, or duties, children." The voice of Head Mistress rang in the hallways, as the boy watched the man pick up the limp body of Layla's lion form, and walked down the end of the hallway, where the stairs led down to the lab room.

Aveleen whirled around and gasped. "Whoa! Look at that lion thing!" she said as it was hauled down to the lab. Seeing the men's uniforms somehow made her suspicious, however.......

"You say that man from tea is your uncle?" asked Aveleen.

Draco was too shocked to speak, so he just nodded. Aveleen had a horrible thought growing in her mind. Layla always had a bizzarre anklet that could stretch really far around her ankle. It was black and pink striped with skulls and crossbones. Aveleen whirled around and saw the anklet around the lion thing's back paw. "Guys! Guys! That's Layla!"

They ran down after the men. Or, rather, Frank ran down and Draco and Aveleen held on. They burst into the room, where a now human Layla was groaning on the floor. "Ah," said one of the men, "I think we have guests."

Layla groaned as she heard voices, and a bright light was in her face.

" What are you doing to her?!" Someone yelled.

" Don't worry. She's going to heal herself in a few moments. This has happened before." It must be Doc. Layla thought, as she groaned again, her body tensing up when she felt a presence near her. The needle was suddenly taken out. Layla suddenly transformed again. Suddenly, Layla felt the spikes on her tail release a strange sticky substance.

" What is that?" Somebody muttered.

" Her spikes release that stuff only when she has a wound. After it covers her entire body, it hardens, and becomes a cocoon. Then the cocoon submerges her in a liquid up to her neck, and the liquid heals the wound. The liquid is soaked up by the walls of the cocoon, and she breaks out." Ya... That's Doc. Layla muttered in her mind, as more of the substance covered her body. The cocoon was starting to harden. The voices started to become muffled, as it was that the cocoon was very hard to hear through. The cocoon finally closed over Layla's head, and she fell into a another sleep, feeling her tail and paws starting to get wet.

Aveleen stared at the cocoon on the floor. As soon as it closed, Doc told them to go back upstairs. Draco and Frank looked relieved, but Aveleen was skeptical. As they walked back upstairs, she glanced back. Doc was standing over Layla with a syringe of green liquid. Aveleen turned back around.  It's probably just painkiller.......

Layla's yellow eyes snapped open. It was dark. And the walls felt too close, and damp. Layla lifted a soaking wet paw, and pressed on the wall. It broke. Light spilled into the dark cocoon. Layla thrust herself towards the opening, and the rest of the cocoon broke.

" Ugh. I feel like a wet cat," Layla growled, still in her lion form.

" I see you are awake, Layla," Dr. Greminger said.

" No duh, Dr. Obvious." Layla transformed back to human form as she growled.

" I feel light-headed," Layla muttered. That's when she noticed something that was beside the cocoon. A syringe. There were a few green dots left in it, but besides that, it looked like it was just emptied. Layla looked more closely at her broken cocoon. There was a small hole on the outside of a broken part.

" Doc... What is this?" Layla lifted the syringe. Dr. Greminger slightly paled.

" T-to help you sleep a bit better." The doctor turned back to what he was doing. Anger of being kept from something flared in Layla. She slid off the table, and stalked over to the doctor, grasping some of his coat.

" What was it?" Layla hissed. The doctor's eyes widened as two spikes slid out of Layla's elbows. Layla looked down, and gasped.

" WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!" Layla shrieked.

" Fine, I'll tell you! It's to speed up the growth of your powers. This might sound vague, but we need to speed up the training of the children for something important," Dr. Greminger explained.

" Training for what?" Layla asked, as she inspected the curved spikes on her elbows.

" I told you that it might sound vague. And I'm not telling you," Dr. Greminger retorted stubbornly.

" Wait a minute.. If you speeded up the growth of my powers..." Layla's eyes widened.

" Oh no," Layla whispered, falling onto her knees.

" What's the matter now?" Dr. Greminger muttered.

" They said I would be able to command three of them," Layla whispered again.

" Three what?" Dr. Greminger suddenly looked interested.

" Three scorions. Three of the same creature that I am," Layla explained.

" Three scorions."

Suddenly, just as he was leaving the room, Draco spotted a small piece of paper tucked in the doctor's pocket. Even from across the room, he could see it with his dragon eyes. It said:

"TEA plan 89. DO NOT READ".

Something from the TEA? Draco had been suspicious of that mysterious organization ever since his uncle Robert had joined it for unknown reasons. If he was going to learn anything else about the TEA, he knew he had to act quickly. Draco dashed over to where the doctor was standing and snatched the paper out of his pocket. "Give that back, you little brat!" he barked. Draco just singed the doctor's hand with a few sparks. The doctor roared in pain and dropped the syringe with the green liquid. The burn was nothing fatal, but gave Draco enough time to stuff the paper into his pocket and run out of the room.

When he was sure he was a safe distance away, he wrote a small message on the wall in ash.

GUYS: SEARCH FOR CLUS ABOUT TEA. MEET BACK HERE AT DUSK.

Hoping Frank, Aveleen and Layla would find the message, Draco hurried on to his next class. Unfortunately, he wasn't looking where he was going, and accidently knocked a student to the ground.

"Ouch!" he heard a voice cry.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry. Let me help you up," Draco said. But wait. There was no one there! He could have sworn he felt himself bump into someone and heard a voice! Could it be that they were invisible?
