Rose Bud, Evelyn is not an elf and has whitish hair and light blue eyes.... You must be thinking of someone else.

Prince Cale~

I had no living idea why the  Castle was in so much tension, until I looked out the window. An utterly terrifying Griffon was flying just outside the castle.

"So that's why Princess was in such a mood." I slipped out of my room. "The King better have something to justify this."

Everyone had flocked to the courtyard like vultures to a dead animal.

Evelyn was  cowering in the hall, obviously wishing she had stayed in North. I was beginning to feel that way too, though I would never admit it to her (especially not after the corrupted royal stupidity).

"What are we to do?" a lady of the court screeched in a deafening way.

The Griffon had flown right above the courtyards, just out of the guardsmen's range.

"Amethyst!" I saw her long hair out of the corner of my eye. She was pushing through the crowd at a very fast speed.

"Why in the world are you other here? It's not safe at all!" I rushed to meet her.

Hey, Evelyn, you know my charrie is your frost elven druid guard, right? Did you even read my posts? I said you were with me outside the castle walls, and then Amethyst saved us from Leo the griffin. Are you reading my posts?

The elf is Brookeira's charrie. Evelyn was the girl in the guest room. Sorry if I confused anyone!

So sorry Brookiera!

Yes I am reading your posts. I already thought Evelyn was in the courtyard. Rose Bud RPed with her in the castle, it was probably just a Misunderstanding. Cale sees Evelyn in the courtyard AFTER Amethyst saves us. So yes, all of us are in the courtyard of the present...

Allyson~

Finally, after several hours of being dragged through the woods, we stop to sit down beside a huge, gnarly, old tree.

Where exactly are we going? I ask the bird.

"First to my master in the southern part of the kingdom, there we will find out what the rest of our trip will be. But we must get to "King" Carter before midnight. He is the master I have been talking about."

Suddenly, "SNAP, CRR-AAACK, SNAP, SNAP," Oh-no, the sound of sticks breaking can only mean one thing, someone's coming!

Eva hurriedly grabs me in her talons once again, but this time I don't care. I just want to get away from who or what ever was approaching us. The pheonix flies faster and faster until she is jus a golden blur zipping through the sky. She would probably be beautiful to anyone that could see her right now with her shining feathers against the pink and orange sky, but I don't really have time to think about that right now, I need to be focused on where we are going. Eva is barely missing a lot of low-hanging branches.

After a while, I notice the sky getting darker and darker. When it's as black as ink, I start hoping that it isn't midnight yet. According to my new friend, we really need to get to her master.

Luckily, she tells me that we will be there very soon and to keep my eye out for a long, low to the ground, building. In just a few minutes, I can make out the dark outline of it and I calm down. We have reached "King" Carter's home.

Amethyst~

I push my way through the courtyard. The griffin is flying, and the guards are shooting at it with arrows.

"Amethyst! Why in the world are you other here? It's not safe at all!" the boy from one of the guest rooms cried. He catches up to me and grabs my arm.

"There's a griffin! In my backyard!" I answer.

"So?" he asks. I begin to make frustrated gestures around the courtyard.

"A magical creature! In my backyard!" The boy doesn't seem to understand my excitement.

"They're hurting it!" A girl with whitesh-blonde hair points to the griffin, now falling to the ground.

"Stop them!" the elf yells. The girl runs into the line of fire.

"EVELYN STOP IT! THAT GRIFFIN IS DANGEROUS!" the boy yells, letting go of my arm.

"NEMWORRA, EZEERF!" I yell at the line of fire. Against their will they freeze in time. It will only last a few minutes.

"Only things from the fourth dimension can manipulate time!" gasps Amethyst.

"I'm not from the fourth dimension. But I had a teacher from there." My lip curls.

"Who?"

"Bill Cipher. He's obnoxious. Hopefully we never run into him."

"Let's go help that gryphon."

Sorry I haven't posted. Have been busy with schoolwork.*sighs* But I'm through for this year! Yay!

Joy Rose~

My carriage rumbles down the cobblestone streets, towards the West Castle. A lurch jolts me from my daydreams. "Oh dear, Miss Joy Rose! A wheel seems to have come off the carriage!" the driver exclaims. Leon!!! I silently yell at the annoying stable-boy. His part-time job was making my life miserable. I didn't mind this much though. A broken wheel was perfect. I had been dying to get out of the stuffy carriage with its stuck-up driver. "Well, I suppose I'll just walk," I say matter-of-factly. "It's only pretty near a mile." And before the driver could stop me, I was running through the streets. When I got to the West Castle, it was in utter chaos. I could hardly find Amythest through the throng of bodies. Cries of, "Griffin!" filled the air. I clutch Amythest's sleeve, "What's happening?" I yell, over the din.

Amethyst~

"Oh! I can't look!" I cry, covering my hands as the girl and elf run towards the guards.

"That girl is Evelyn, and she wouldn't run into something dangerous or even slightly adventurous. The guards have stopped shooting anyway," the boy besides me assures.

"Then why were you yelling?" I take my hands off of my face. He mutters something unintelligible and looks away.

"Who are you anyway?" I ask. He looks a little older than me maybe, with hair so blonde it is almost white and strange-colored dark blue eyes.

"Prince Cale of the North," he announces with a sweep of his hand. I shrink away from him. The West and The North aren't especially friendly at the time. No warring, of course, but there are strange rumors about the North Castle.

"Well then, Prince Cale of the North, lets go sort out this mess," I say, indicating the tumultuous courtyard.

"Amethyst!" I feel a tug on my coat sleeve and look down to see Joy Rose!

"I thought you weren't coming until tomorrow!" I exclaim, embracing her.

"It's a long story. What's this about a griffin?" she asks.

"I honestly don't know what's going on. Prince Cale and I were just going to sort it out." The said Prince Cale looks a little uncomfortable, but I don't know why.

"I'm Princess Joy Rose of The South," Joy Rose shakes Prince Cale's hand. Being older, he is considerably taller than she is.

"Let's go find out what's going on!" I pull the prince and princess into the sea of guards.

"Your Highness, please go back inside while we deal with the griffin," a guard says, tapping me on the shoulder.

"Is it alive?" I ask, trying to get a glimse of it through the black uniforms.

"Possibly," he answers.

"Amethyst!" The king doesn't have an especially loud and booming voice, but you still know when he is angry.

"Come back inside right now!" I can see his short, bobbing head making its wave over to me now.

"Good evening, Prince and Princess," King Quintus nodds his head to them and then links his arm through mine.

"Good bye," I mouth as my father whisks me back inside.

Allyson-

As we enter the house of Eva's master, the first thing I notice is that  one  room is red, orange, pink, yellow, and gold, one is brown, green, and pale yellow, one is purple, blue and gray, and one is silver with flecks of black.

Fire, nature, storm/sky, and metal, I realize, without knowing how I know this.

"Welcome back Eva, and your friend......what's her name again.......ah yes Allyson," the man says.

I wonder how he knows my name, but he seems kind, so I don't worry about it.

"Eva have you told her yet," he asks.

Eva shakes her head.

"Well then I shall tell her myself," he replies. "Allyson, we believe that you have magical powers. We don't know what kind, but it could be storm like your brother or nature like your mother."

"Josh and momma are magical?" I ask in wonder.

"Yes, they are," is his answer. "Have you ever noticed that yours ears are slightly pointed or that you are a bit shorter than other kids you know? You are an elf Allyson."

You've got to be kidding! Sure I've realized these things, but I always thought it was just the way I was.

"Now would you please do me a favor," asked the "king." "I need you to tell me your favorite color and time of year."

"Red and Autumn," I say.

"Then your power must be fire. This is not what I expected," he tells me. "I'll teach you how to use your magic later, but right now I have a mission for Eva and you must accompany her."

"You two are to visit the West Castle as soon as possible. I have heard of a problem with a griffon there and I need to know what it is."

As soon as we have some food and know where to go, we take off again.

Leo~

I wake to a lot of shouting. l try to  rise to my feet, but fall down, with a cry of pain. My front leg is broken, and l think my wings is, too.  l lie on my side, panting. The stones around me are covered in blood.  My feathers and fur are smeared with it.

l am helpless. The castle guards will come any moment and finish me off.

l lower my head to the cold ground, closing my eyes, letting my heavy breathing fill my ears. The end has come. l never thought it would be like this, but it is.

l will not die doing a valiant deed, or in a battle, but because of my own stupidity. I am oddly calm, now, knowing that l can do nothing.

l hear two pairs of footsteps, slowly advancing toward me.  The guards. They have come.

Yet oddly they stop a few feet away from me, very still. Then one of them says quitely, "Griffin, we've come to help you. Please don't be frightened or attack us."

l lift my head to look at them. One is an  elf, the other looks to be a princecess of some sort with white hair. l  recognize the elf as one of the ones that woke me up by the castle wall.

"And why would you want to help me? Your guards tried to kill me."

"Look here" says the elf,  "the guards were frightened of you. We just want to help"

"How should l know that you are trustworthy?"

l stagger to my feet, holding up my broken leg, and painfully lift my left wing. The one with the arrow in it.

They gape at me for a moment.

"Your guards did this to me. How can l know that you will not do the same?"

The elf looks me stright in the eyes. "I give you my word, word that l will not harm you." The other girl did the same.

l hear footsteps behind me. l whirl around. There, stands a very odd person,, a girl with wings.

Millennia~

The griffin glares at me. The elf and the girl stare at me.

The girl is the first to speak. "Who are you? Why are you here?"

"I am Millennia Peragrine and l was looking for a lost falcon before l saw the grif-"

"l am not just 'the griffin'! My name is Leo," interrupts  Leo.

"Alright.  l saw Leo falling from he sky and the-" Leo suddenly falls down unconscious.

"We need to get him somewhere safe to treat his wounds."

l take off my leather gloves and kneel down to look to the griffin's wounds.

The one from the arrow is bad. Very bad. It needs to be removed soon.

l turn to face them, and to my suprise, there is someone else there.

Amethyst~

My father has never been the type for long lectures on how to behave. He simply asked Sarah Ann to escort me to my bedroom and see that I stay there. The corridors seem hauntingly quiet, and the shadows on the walls cower away from the yellow moonlight. Sarah Ann's servants' slippers don't make a sound on the polished marble floors, while my evening shoes tap ominously.

"Sarah Ann, I'm sorry about this mess I've made." My eyes plead with sincerity, but I know that she'd never let me rejoin the others in the courtyard. Sarah Ann was silent. What was she to say? That I am in huge trouble? I knew as much. But what am I in trouble for? Getting out of bed? Running straight into the commotion of the courtyard? Getting a little to close to a griffin? Finally, Sarah Ann opens her mouth.

"Your father and mother want to protect you."

That is obvious, of course, and exactly what I expect from Sarah Ann.

"But," she continues, "they cannot protect a girl who puts herself in danger."

I open my mouth to retort but Sarah Ann silences me with an annoyed look.

"Your parents have been worried about your 'sense of adventure' for a long time-"

I cut her off indignantly; "so adventure is bad now? Is that it? Alright then! I'll never have another adventure again! I'll shut myself up in my room for the rest of my life and waste away!" I say loudly, though not meaning to act on a word I say; such is the way of anger.

"Listen to me!" Sarah Ann raises her voice without yelling.

"Adventure does not mean putting yourself or others in danger!"

"Sarah Ann," I retort, my anger nearly subsided, "everyone else were out there with the griffin."

Sarah Ann puts her apron up to her face and stops walking.

"You don't understand, do you?" she says in a voice almost a whisper. I find nothing to say to that, and we walk the rest of the way to my room in silence. I open the door without a backward look at Sarah Ann, but she puts her hand on my shoulder and forces me to turn around.

"Remember the things your father wants you to understand before your 16 birthday?" Why is she bringing this up now?

"Yes," I mutter.

"Value, friendship, loyalty and the dangers of power," she tells me, like I don't already know.

"Good night Miss Darrist," she shuts the door before I can reply. I instantly run to the window and try to see the courtyard. I make out people and lanternlight, but I can't see much more. For the second time tonight, I shake my shoes off, hang my coat up, and slip my legs under the blankets, knowing that I won't sleep.

An hour or so passes into thin air, and then I hear a soft tap on my window.
